“Are we combining the MCU with the faith based universe?”
That would be amusing considering the presence of Mr Pratt lol

I legit cried at this movie. I don't usually cry at movies but this one did it. This movie is a masterpiece, a perfect trilogy capper to a fantastic series of films. Easily in the Top 3 when it comes to my favorite MCU movies. The action scenes are gorgeous, especially the third act. One of the best films of the year. Neck and neck with John Wick Chapter 4. 10/10.

I was ten when that first film came out. I’m nineteen now. I loved this film. I loved the entire trilogy. This also came out the same month of my graduation so it being a movie that’s supposed to be the end hurts

      Congratulations on your graduation.
I was 29 when the first GotG came out and 38 now. This year is my 20th high school reunion and I’ve reached the age my father was when he died, so I dig this trilogy for its relatability. GotG always seems to hit when I’m in moments of transition, and each film has brought with it a revelation that brings me comfort. I hope they are the same for you, and continue to be throughout your life.
      Be excellent to others.
      And party on, dude. ✌🏽

It’s funny cause on the surface this movie would’ve blended with the rest of the movies, but one thing that separates this from the others is that it has heart and actual care put into this.

This is probably my last MCU movie, great end to the trilogy. I don’t know why no one is mentioning the “No sleep til Brooklyn” action scene. I saw it in 3d and it’s probably in my top 5 favorite action scenes along with the Freebird scene in Kingsman.

I agree. The sad thing about NWH for me though is that I think it’s enjoyable in terms of fanservice, but, as a movie on its own, it’s still nowhere near the top of how I’d rank the MCU.

I liked it, but I was feeling its length. I think it should've wrapped things up 20 minutes earlier than it did, and the stuff at the very end is something I would rather see played during the credits rather than before.

    1 year old already!!!
I saw this with my older sister and her boyfriend
Crazy this is director James Gunn's last outing since he's going to be in charge of the next wave of movies for DC
The villain here the High Evolutionary is made of narcissism, zealotry, and single-mindedness obsessed with perfection
Even though the movie is 2 hours and 29 min it gets by with all these actors as these characters
9 years they become people who’s pasts are not squeaky clean, they learn to get past the trauma theyve experienced
Again I admit several parts I wasn't expecting to cry
Especially around Rocket's dark origins, they insert a big commentary on perfecting a species and animal experimentation
Not to mention an anti-fascist message
I still wanted Adam Warlock to be more of a central villain because Will Poulter is a good actor be he feels lost in the shuffle
But the movie does a great job wrapping up this trilogy and making this rag tag team of heroes leave quite the mark
All of them have their respective stories tied up in a nice bow
Glad the action is cool, the effects, the laughs, and the tender moments work without being interrupted by a corny joke
The production design is quite colorful and the makeup effects with the costumes
There’s the hands that created us and then there’s the hands that guide us, we don’t have to spend our days hating ourselves, stupid people still make us laugh, nobody asks to be perfected or improved, when God isn’t around someone else steps in

Honestly I feel the same. It’s the first time in a long while that I’ve given a damn about an MCU story.
Rocket’s backstory was awesome and horrifying. They leaned into it and I loved it. His story drove the story. And that made the villain utterly despicable. That was a villain you wanted to see get stomped!
Might be the last really good MCU movie.

I think the main thing that drags this movie down is that the fact that it’s a marvel movie and it’s forced to utilize certain conventions, because James clearly had his sights set much higher with this one. Finally a good MCU film after phase 4! Sure there's a few plot holes but I didn't really notice them during the movie, except 2 glaringly obvious ones. But this was actually good, I laughed when something was funny and I cried when something was sad, which is a lot in this film, Gunn really went dark with the villain and Rocket's origin in this. Thanos may have dusted half the universe, but High Evolutionary commits mass genocide and mass animal cruelty, with such a blatant God complex even Thanos would blush.

    • @ExtremeMadnessX
      @ExtremeMadnessX Рік тому

      What 2 plot holes?

    • @fokushigaru1310
      @fokushigaru1310 Рік тому

@@ExtremeMadnessX well there's several, but the most glaringly obvious ones to me were; the entire Counter Earth and the animal people there are destroyed but literally nobody mentions the event after it happens, it's like it was a plot point that was instantly forgotten.
Also it's been years since Rocket escaped, but all what I assume are his Raccoon siblings never aged.
Also the perfected Batch 90 animal people are supposed to be peaceful and non aggressive because that was removed from their DNA, but we're shown several times that's not the case on Counter Earth.
There's more but can't think of them off top of my head.
Good thing is, even though there are several plot holes, they don't really hurt the movie. The movies like a good Swiss cheese, full of tiny holes but good enough that you still enjoy the overall product.

I wish they would’ve just let Gamora stay dead rather than bring her back and stomp on the grave of my favorite MCU relationship.
Other than that, it was a solid movie, Rocket’s backstory was very moving and tragic. But this is probably going to be a one time watch cause…yeah, every scene with Peter and Gamora was painful, and there’s not even a payoff at the end.

Movies suck now. Tv shows suck now. Especially post 2020. Something happened after the pandemic 😷, that the majority of entertainment now is garbage 🗑️.
There are a few exceptions, of course, but overall , just horribly written trash 🚮. Name some good shows, I bet you they were all before 2020!!!
As for Movies?? Especially horror movies now?!?? The last good one was THE INVISIBLE MAN.
And what the hell happened to Guardians of the Galaxy 3?!? Why do the characters all look so weird now?!??
