The measurement to get the thumb all the way to the base of the ball is so important. I can't even tell you how many attempts I've made to get a good fitting thumb to no avail. when I put the tape in the thumb hole to snug it up, my thumb would not go in far enough to get to the base. I would end up losing it quick off of my hand causing a weak release and coming over the top missing the target away. A few weeks ago I went to see an old friend of mine who knew my game and is a PSO. He looked at my thumb fit and saw that I wasn't getting to the base. He was able to use a milling bit and open the top off the hole so my thumb would seat right on the crease. Wow, all these years with a bad fit, now my hand is so relaxed in the ball and my scores are up. If you can't get a good fit from your local PSO don't be afraid to take a trip and seek out a second opinion.
If you can't a good fit locally, get in your car and seek out someone who is knowledgeable. I wasted so many years strugling to get a good feel. When you think of money and time and results it is worth the effort to seek someone who can help.@@StephRenee812
Thanks Ben for watching. Probably later release on that video than planned, we have other stuff on the list coming up. You can use the same principles, the same 3 measurements are needed even using a caliper. So you can still do the same process. Try it out and reach out if you have any questions. Thanks for watching!
Great video. I only wish I knew what pro shops use the software. My Proshop does everything by eye and I now have a Huge persistent callus on the back side of my thumb that is painful. Been that way for three years. I’ve had to cut back my bowling to two days a week because of it. If not by day three it is broken open like an open sore. Help
