I just built the same exact thing, all from the parts you posted. Thank you 🙏 I took it one step further and added a Shelly. So now we can control it from our phone 😁
If you wanna save 5 minutes and just want a quick overview : 20watt solar panel >battery charge controller> 12v car battery. Hook a standard 2 joule 12v fence charger to battery. Put em all in a plastic tool box and youre good to go!!Not a bad idea at all tho.. Its scaleable, easily serviced and ready to get split back down to components that can be put to use on the next project or what ever, where ever, as needed.any first timers with electric fence> focus on a good solid ground, and good insulation between the electric fence wire and anything else it touches besides your livestock. try and avoid the fence wire touching any grass or vegetation. the more it does, the less it will shock.. especially on dewy morning at the end of the line. The amazing thing with an electric fence tho.. In many cases.. even de-energized, it is an amazing psychological deterrent that will keep your animals off the fence line and exactly where you want them... till it doesn't. ;)great video
I like it! Our silly .1 joule unit from Tractor Sup. is a joke. Saying it can supply 5 miles of fence is only a small part of what you need to know. The goats didn't fear it. Thanks for the info.
Should power 2.5 miles of 3 strand cattle fence, 3/4 mile of 6 strand sheep fence, 16 rolls of the 164' sheep/goat nets or 6 - 8 rolls of the 164' poultry nets. All distances are dependent on amount of grass/weed load on the fence.

3:26 Just use some worm drive clamps and tuck your wire in and tighten them up with a screwdriver.
How many times has that kid got shocked?
Awesome video and thanks for sharing.
Nice set-up👍.How much feet of fence will this energize for cattle?
Hi, I have the same components. Do you have a diagram of the setup, not familiar with setting it up with the charge controller.
This is enough for cattle but goat require about 6 joules
What if you dont buy the solar panel so just the enrgizer and the battery?
Who many volts do you set your charge controller to?
Hi! How many mile of fence do you think this would work for?

Thank you! Do you know how many volts it’s throwing with a tester? I have a horse that needs manners😂
Up to 14,000 volts
Kenny Hardcastle
Hmmm... I wonder if it’s too strong for horses? Does this send the volts constantly or in waves?
I did it quickly and efficiently with instructions from Avasva website.
If you don't know how to make it by yourself , just go to inplix website.
