Who needs things like facts and information, when you've got useless flashy gimmicky marketing? I notice in the description they quote the completely impractical and irrelevant "thrust in KG" like most electric motors because they know that if they gave a figure in horsepower it'd get laughed out the room.
Lotta power for a little guy have a 14 foot fishing boat had a real old trolling motor on it didn’t work very well but this one almost don’t need my gas motor it works really good quiet would buy again
Been there, done that. Paid big bucks for a German electric lithium powered outboard. First time it needed service and they've ceased "supporting" my model. Expensive landfill.
Interesting. I was thinking about getting a small outboard for my square-backed canoe from this German company. They have no warranty? They provided no help whatsoever in your case? That's surprising since its the main player in this market.
Don't like the mounting strap round the hull. Would rather see the mount bolted on to the top of hull. The strap would cause a slight bit of drag, but my main problem is damaging it in shallow water, on rocks and sand, or when dragging in and out of the water.
after calculating what's offered here and what a moderately comparable DIY setup w trolling motor, lipo battery, charger, cables, mount and speedometer would cost there's not soo much difference in price but this unit would be much easier to setup and carry. so, yes, it's a price I couldn't pay. but i would.

Hi everyone! I wanna buy this for an ITIWIT paddle board. Will it install on it ? Or just get the slow ITIWIT one? Do i have guarantee? Should i get it from Ali Express? Thanks a lot for your help guys !
prop is in a cage .. on an arm that drops down below the hull at an angle ..probably to get as much centerline as possible.. kinda weird you cant see that.
Interesting idea for a kayak. Definitely decent speeds, but I don’t really understand what the drive to spend £1290 would be. I don’t know many kayakers who are out there to be sped around by a motor. This would be useful as a trolling motor for a fishing kayak, but you wouldn’t need the speed to be that great for trolling. Very cool implementation with the battery contained in the arm. Unique product for unique use case I guess.
You do t use that speed all the time. Even with a small boat & transom mount trolling motors, there are variable speeds up to about 4-5 mph. Faster if you adapt theme to a sleeker boat like a kayak. Nice when going out or coming in. Then you put around all day otherwise while fishing. Gotta look at the greater picture.
Electrafin motor is $1700, Bixpy motor is $1300...that would make this one the least expensive at $900 🤦♂️. Nuts. I’d love one, but I would never pay that much. Get it down to about $350-$400 and I might, MIGHT, consider it.
Never buy a yellow kayak or wear yellow to go in the ocean. Biologists and surfers call it, "yummy yellow", because it attracts sharks and is one of the main causes of shark attacks.
Shit, get a weed eater and engineer your own. I mean a lot of ppl couldn’t do that, but I think I could do it. Probably take me a min, cause I’d take my time and draw it all out.
There’s the lithium batteries to remember as well. They are expensive. Not justifying the cost mind you. It is expensive. When people buy kayaks like in this video for $1500 - $4000 or pedal drive Hobie kayaks for $2,000 + , this becomes more understandable. It’s smaller and lighter than anything you can design yourself. If a person can do this better, patent it and put it to market. You will be very wealthy as a result.
I thought about adding a jet ski type motor to my kayak until I found out my state would force me to register the "motorized water craft" and pay them for the privilege of not paddling when I get tired.
This name is even more hilarious than their trash product. Would be even better if it was "ThrustYou", cause they are basically f'ing you by selling you this overpriced trash

Really works well. Battery gauge is not super super accurate but the motor is pretty great. Haven't used it in salt water yet. Eventually

The mounting system isn't part of the device, you can DIY a solution to hold it in place however you want.

In many states, you will need to register your kayak with the DMV once you have added either gas or electric propulsion!
California is one of these states
So is Wyoming. Fuck em!
Texas and Louisiana also. I believe most. Defeats the purpose and puts large ugly letters on your boat
Florida
I live in Michigan and its the same here.
That video is a blatant fail: Just a guy showing off on his kayak while some $#!+ music plays! And the thumbnail is a clickbait at its best!
At parties he pulls up his videos showing how cool he is. I bet he drinks diet coke even though he could have regular.

Depends on your country regulations
All ya need is 4 solar panels on that SUP. Go all day.

Sadly sold out online and no distributors in Florida.
To bad.
We are working on dealers in USA, but due to the Corona situation everything is delayed, hopefully it will be available for sale in Q2 2021

looks like a great idea
The company sales pages clearly are not calling it a kayak. Because it’s not.
Great idea. * If you fall of the paddle board, or out of a kayak, does the motor cut out immediately ?
Yes, there is a magnetic kill switch with lanyard
Will it tow a fat man?

Where'd those guys luck into a state that doesn't require you to register a kayak, when it's powered?
Once you put a motor on a watercraft it requires payment to the government for registration fees whereas a human-powered craft generally does not

Not where I live.
As long as it's under 10 hp. gas or electric you're good to go.
