"Forgotten Bloodlines: Agate" will be a photorealistic animated documentary focusing on prehistoric creatures 20 million years ago, narrated by the wonderful Nigel Marven. It takes place in the early Miocene of the Agate Fossil Beds, one of the richest collections of fossil creatures from the era, including strange horse-like animals with claws, carnivorous hippo ancestors, and rhinos the size of a dog. Over the course of three 15 minute episodes, you will be taken back to a place forgotten to time.
For a project this unique, mainstream studios may not be able to provide what we need, which is why we need your help!! Follow our Kickstarter link to be notified when we launch. To generate hype before our campaign, share this video as much as possible! If you want to see this project come to fruition! The film will be split into thirds in order to streamline the funding process, as raising money for an entire film at once is a daunting task.

Thanks for watching and supporting our project! This is an indie project, and we need your help to make the final documentary a reality! Check out the trailer for “Forgotten Bloodlines: Agate” on my channel and please consider supporting us on kickstarter: link in the description.
I've gotten a lot of questions about where and when it will release. The answer is we don't know, it hasn’t been decided yet. We want it to release on a streaming service such as Netflix or Curiosity Stream where it can get better press, but because it's an indie project it’s very possible we may have to post it to youtube.
Regardless, all Kickstarter backers (campaign starts February 2023) will have free early access to the final documentary, so don't worry about being able to see it. We will make sure it gets as wide a release as possible and when we do announce it, we'll be very clear about where and when!
Read the description for more details
May I ask why the kickstarter starts February and not sooner?
@@IndominusRex-wc1ey bad idea to launch a campaign during the holiday season, and it’s good to spread the word months in advance. Successful Kickstarter campaigns don’t just come out of the blue, there’s usually hype leading up to it
@@DigitalDuckOfficial ooooooooh ok that makes sense
Any chance, IF this should be successful, we could see more Paleo-Documentaries from you?
I would love it if you guys could make more documentaries like this!
This is a work of art right here! It’s great to hear Nigel Marvin again in a documentary, plus the fact we’re getting a new Cenozoic-centered doc is even better! 😄
I thought that voice sounded familiar.
Literally the little kid in me just had every synapses in my brain fire off and say HOLY SHIT. IS THIS ANOTHER PREHISTORIC PARK. But calmed down a bit and got slightly less but pretty still hyped at him voicing a new documentary on cenzoic megafauna
The Legend is Back LET'S GOOOOOOO
Honestly, I just want more Prehistoric Park?
And on top of that there is anather paleo documentary that got announced
So refreshing to hear Nigel Marvin's voice again, and coupled with incredible animation and models at that! Not to mention the score is phenomenal! Perfectly captures the essence of prehistory. Can't wait to see more!
Impossible
@@aidenparker5955Think again
He scores a 10 in retarded sounding voices
This looks incredible! From the gorgeous cinematography and animation to the nostalgic narration by Nigel Marven, I can't wait to see the entire thing!
Hey, I didn’t expect seeing you here. Gotta say, I can’t wait to see this in full force. I mean, I’ve been waiting for nearly an entire year for this project to show its face.
This is WONDERFUL! Miocene is such an interesting choice (not mainstream). The animation during the chase is so good! Must have taken tons of time and effort. Also the lovely soundtrack, and the narration by the man who got me into paleontology. Looking forward to seeing the full film!!!
Me too, Nigel Marvin is like a hero and inspiration to me along with the kratt brothers he as well as prehistoric park is one of the reasons I become more inspired in paleontology
The Miocene was a golden age for big mammals so it makes sense that they'd do a documentary about it.
@@girlgarde Yeah a Miocene documentary like this but with the budget of Prehistoric Planet would be amazing. But in the mean time this is cool
@@LoudmouthReviews Wasn't the Miocene also the time that most modern animals group started to appear
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Probably the most realistic depiction of a Daeodon I have seen ever. On top of that the whole thing is like a nature documentary as opposed to a 'prehistoric animal pitfight'. I love how it is looking and can't wait for the finished result. Keep up the good work
Daeodon looks scary here like something out of nightmares. It also reminds me somewhat of the wolf creature from 'A Neverending Story'.
@girlgarde yep but with those stubby lega no wonder only 10% of hunts work out
@@girlgarde
How the hell does it look scary.
It looks like an actual animal and not a movie monster. You would have to be a true wussy to get scared by it lol.
@@chadgorosaurus4898 Animals are pretty scary in my opinion. Hyenas eat prey alive, leopards can kill and drag you to a tree to eat you, and hippos can be pretty violent.
@@chadgorosaurus4898 yeah, an actual animal, literally one of the main things we evolved to fear lol
im really liking this new types of dinosaur and mega fauna mammalians that transitioned from just stupid shows of big scary animals fighting but showing them how they would interact with each other like a regular documentary
This is incredible! The lighting and environment look absolutely beautiful. And it’s so cool to hear Nigel Marven lend his voice to the project. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
Daedon being portrayed as a less pig like creature and more like a canine appearance is epic
I would have said a hyena/bison/hippopotamus chimaera, but yeah I get it
He is not a canine dummy
@@culifabrizio1479 The person implied "Canine-like."

This looks absolutely phenomenal. It’s great to see a paleo documentary that doesn’t just focus on the Pleistocene or Mesozoic eras. I can definitely see this becoming a popular series.
How did I find u here
“Ah yes, the nostalgia is very strong here.”
-Everyone hearing Nigels voice narrate another paleo documentary
Oh this is apsolutly phenomenal work.
I think the only criticism I can think of is that the narration needs to hold back just a bit and let the scene speak for it self and mayhaps some tiny polishing touches in the visuals but overall I think it's an incredible work of art from you and your team Max. The model's,the animation, the environment, cinematography, soundtracks are all excellent. And ofcource Nigel been the narrator is lots of fun as well.
I dearly hope the Kickstarter campaign goes well
It does feel like a bit in-your-face narration and fast-paced indeed (just in this clip at least), but man I love the animation and sound design for this!!
+1, it felt like the narration was competiting with the visuals on screen for my attention, it needs to be quite a bit more slower and let the action on screen speak for itself but then again this is a teaser so I'm guessing that's why it's so fast paced
Looking good, my friend, Looking good! Nigel Marvin really sounds so excited to be in every project he's in, doesn't he?
Bringing those WWB and Prehistoric Park feels, I love it! Can't wait for more
Man am I stoked for this. Have been for a while. Glad to see Nigel Marvin on board as well. Haven't seen a documentary touch on this epoch's fauna since WWB came out in the early 2000's. Daeodon is one of my favorite prehistoric mammals as well, so glad to see some spotlight on it, though I'm also looking forward to what else is going to be shown. I do recall Moropus from the previous teaser as well, which was great to see as well. I hope the kickstarter will succeed so this project can be finished some day. Looking forward to throw in some support for it when it is time.
The basal camel look was captured perfectly! When i saw them my first thought was how camel like their feet looked
Nigel Marvel the goat, lovely to see him in recent paleo projects such as this and prehistoric kingdom :D
😎😎😎😎😎😏😏
Very impressive. It’s amazing a UA-camr can produce animation better than a large budge miniseries from 20 years ago
This looks incredible! This is easily gonna be the Prehistoric Planet of Cenozoic documentaries. And both Nigel Marven narrating and Sarah Class on scoring duties?? Cannot wait for the final film!
What next the narrator from our national park going to do a documentary on the world before dinosaurs
😅😅😅😅😅😮
The BBC called, they want their documentry back. This is truly a masterpiece, keep up the extraordinary work.
Every bit as good as I was expecting. Looking forward to hearing more about this!
This looks phenomenal, especially for an indie project. And Nigel Marven was just the perfect choice for something like this. Forgotten Bloodlines has the potential to be one of the best paleo documentaries ever made, can’t wait til it’s officially released! Great job to everyone involved!
all the typical dinosaur media narration tropes, but almost entirely without dinosaurs and much more realistic than most dinosaur media. i love it
It's crazy how Digital Duck went from a JWE mod creator to helping if not creating a documentary about prehistoric life.
I love my "Hell Pigs." Please bring it on! Nigel Marvin is just the icing on the cake.
I love how Nigel Marven has been supporting Paleo projects with both this and Prehistoric Kingdom recently!
Finally, an update, it looks very promising! Can't wait to hear more of Nigel Marven's voice.
Hats off to this team for going back to early times to get some footages of these animals.
I'm glad to hear that Nigel Marven is back for Paleo related series, been a fan of him ever since i was 6,yet to this day i feel grateful to know that such a person exists to entertain us
Nigel Marvin, Christian Slater, and David Attenborough will forever be my most favorite nostalgic narrators for paleodocumentaries.
Agree the documentary they narrator are treasured wish one of them fixed up that bbc disgraceful film
Hearing Nigel Marven is so amazing 😍😍 so hyped for this documentary!
Great work on the animation and the look of the early camel and a Daeodon.
It is also good to hear Nigel Marven as the narrator for your documentary.
Well done, keep up the excellent work!
Amazing, I can't wait to watch an actual good documentary about the Cenozoic after all these years
😊😊😅😅😮❤❤❤
I am at a loss for words. This is just absolutely amazing! Can’t wait to see the full thing!
First Prehistoric Kingdom and now you managed to get the legend to lend his voice. Immaculate.
This looks promising and the fact that Nigel Marvin is narrating it just makes it even better.
Immediate 10/10, this looks like a Great Promise for things to Come, and Major Props to the Always Wonderful Nigel Marven for the Narration
I was NOT expecting Nigel Marvin and I’m in love!
The best entelodon design
This documentary will be incredible, I loved your work!
We need to push Indie projects more!
This and the Dinosauria Series are amazing works of art! I love it!
This is amazing, great job. Awesome that Nigel Marvin’s apart of this.
I’m so excited for this, what beautiful visuals!
Love how the daeodon isn't shrinkwrapped at all. Wonderful design.
Nigel Marvin is top tear; it's refreshing to see him in another documentary again
The quality of the animation could use some work, but otherwise this looks like itll be an awesome project. excited to see what itll look like when its finished
2020s is gonna be a renewed decade of paleo documentaries and that only makes me smile 🙂I heard Nigel Marvin and was like yeah, here's my like.
Prehistoric planet along with the Netflix series it a good time to learn animals both now and before but sadly not after
This looks like something you would see out of a documentary with David Attenborough
Well Nigel Marvin is basically the David Attenborough of paleo documentaries so yeah
I used to watch Nigel's adventures years ago after my morning workouts, good times
So excited for this project!!!!! can I just say how weird it feels to watch one hoofed animal chase another with the intent to eat it? im so used to the gates of things like big cats/canids (even bears or mustelids) while hunting that watching Daedon's chase just feels so strange by comparison. I think that's what makes it such a good animal to be a focal pt in a documentary like this! it really is such a unique predator.
Excellent. I grew up south of Agate, and my parents first took me there when I was around 5-6. Of course, I had been digesting dinosaur books at the time, and was unimpressed by the proto-camels and horses on display, asking the poor interpretive ranger, "Don't you have anything bigger?"
Yes!!!!! Nigel Marvin!!! No shrink-wrapped entelodonts!!! This is wonderful!!!!
I got so exited when I heard Nigel Marvin's voice. I grew up watching _Monsters of the Deep_ , and it brought me back, hearing him again.
this looks and sounds absolutely amazing. so excited to watch it fully!
Heh, not bad for something fanmade. I could easily see this being passed on as a documentary.
Great work dude. :)
my goodness this looks fantastic! I cannot wait to see more, this was an absolute treat to watch.
Hearing Nigel Marvin narrate made me feel like a kid again.
Probably the most realistic prehistoric documentary I've seen yet🤷♂️
Absolutely fantastic!!!! So so so cool to see known artist from the comunity come together to create such a masterpiece!! Youre amazing duck!
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeahhhh.
Holy crap, this opening scene alone makes this doc so damn compelling.
"We will watch your career with great interest."
-Senator Palpatine.
This will be the new “Walking with Beasts”
This is actually very promising! And Nigel Marvin?! Haven't heard from him in a while!
I'm looking forward to this!
Oh thank God, I was beginning to worry this project was dead. I've been excited ever since I saw the trailer and not just because it's a new Prehistoric Documentary. It focuses on a point in time that doesn't get the appreciation it deserves & not to mention you got Nigel Marvin as well.
This was SO well done! I can't wait to see the rest!
I love how the Daeodon looks very Hippo-like (since they are close relatives of Hippos and Cetaceans)
Fantastic, I hope you get to make your full length version. It's a good time for it as prehistoric shows seem to be making a comeback. And having Nigel Marven is a great asset. Prehistoric Park and sea monsters are still two of the best shows I've seen, been waiting to see him do more like that. I also like that you're focusing on Cenozoic animals, as much as I love dinosaurs, they do hog a lot of the limelight.
Truly incredible animation and lighting work, and its amazing to hear Nigel Marvin again as well!
Daeodon now my new fav pre-historic animal! It looks like if a dog hippo and boar had a baby! Beautiful !!
Seeing a carnivore with hooves is actually quite cursed
It's, it's so beautiful. I've looked at it for 5 hours straight.
Beautiful work!
I'm ready for the kickstarter.
I love it ! Honestly better than I expected can't wait for the full movie !
I'm so excited for this, man! It looks really promising.
This distant relative to Walking with Beasts seems interesting. Very well done.
Oh! This is lovely! It’s great to see a paleo-documentary that’s not about dinosaurs!
Just created a kickstarter account to follow you! Looks dope!
This awoke so many of my childhood memories of watching documentaries about dinos and animals with Nigel Marvin and David Attenborough as hosts lol, this is absolutely amazing, keep up the great work, guys, can't wait to see how this masterpiece will turn out when it will get finished!
this documentary is going to be a roaring success when it comes out next year the miocene is the golden age of mammals and a favorite time period as well
lovely narration from nigel and wonderful animation
Absolutely incredible work!
Absolutely incredible, I can't wait for the full release
Wow, this is amazing for being an indie project! I can't wait for it to be finished and to watch it. The models are hyperrealistic and beautiful. Some movements seem unnatural in either being too fluid or too stiff, but honestly professional stuff back in the early 2000s got away with worse animation quality. The scenes are beautiful, the models are stunning, and the animation for the most part seems real! I love it.
Literally the little kid in me just had every synapses in my brain fire off and say HOLY SHIT. IS THIS ANOTHER PREHISTORIC PARK. But calmed down a bit and got slightly less but pretty still hyped at him voicing a new documentary on cenzoic megafauna
This is phenomenal! My only criticism is that the audio needs more balancing; the voice seems drowned out by the music at times. Other than that, amazing work!
Daeodon is an Angry Angry Hippo.
This already looks stunning!! Excellent work!
Omg it looks awesome the cgi Everything I can’t wait to see the full version on UA-cam
i agree this going to be interesting
It looks amazing, just wish the running animations for the daeodon were better
We still have 2 years till the series will be out, enough time that it should hopefully be updated
This looks phenomenal! And Nigel Marvin's narration is amazing. Definitely donating to the Kickstarter when it launches.
I'm glad to have contributed some money to this project. I look forward to seeing its progress and watching the finished film. It's not often we get to see such magnificent prehistoric mammals as bizarre as these brought to life on screen.
Brilliant... Hope to see many megafaunas which we haven't seen in documentaries before...
Nice to see Nigel Marvin still around. Never seen/hear much of him for quite a long time.
As a person working toward becoming a documentary filmmaker this is nothing short of inspirational!
I cannot wait for the full release.
yeah its going to be cool
Outstanding work. Cannot wait to see this when it releases.
Amazing work! Incredibly excited for the full release!
This is gonna be so so cool...
ikr
that was truly incredible deserves more attention
It seems like we might be entering a new era of paleo docs, and I’m here for it!
