she is my favorite in the current breed of skaters. Her flow in and out of the jumps are so smooth! her edges are deep, her technique on the flip and lutz are superb. Yes, she doesn't get a lot of height in the jumps, but her rotation speed is impeccable. I love how she expresses the music with her body and not just the face, and she is very musical. I wish her the best 🙏
No. Her 3A has not been consistent and that's what kept her off the podium. When she lands it, it is beautiful but in the last Worlds (2019) she choked and last year Kostornaia's 3A was consistent and slightly better. Rika failed to reach the podium in the Grand Prix Final.

If she adds the quad salchow to her program this year then we might see this combination come back! the best possible layout would include 3A+3T, 3Lz+3Lo, and 3F+Eu+3S

She is a more beautiful skater than Trusova. She just needs better programs than last year, this combo and 2 more quads. With that she will be above Kostornaia and certainly Scherbakova. If Trusova hits 4 or 5 quads and develops her ability and desire to perform, she will be hard to beat. Trusova is still having problems being consistent with 3 or 4 quads and is still missing 3Lutz3loop and making silly mistakes.... I remember being super impressed with Rika a couple years ago, and then the Russian girls ce out with more power and explosiveness... Those years, Rika did not have the greatest programs. Seeing these clips reminds me how beautiful and elegant of a skater Rika is and reminds me what she could do with a little more fire power and pizzaz...
@@rodionstepanov2034 what is Trusova's percentage of landing the 3Axel in competition? It's not good.. She jumps too far around on her 3 Axel take off. She is always too far inside the circle on the landing. Plushenko needs to have her modify the trajectory of her Axel take off to throw her right leg and arm more straight through on the circle as opposed to throwing them way around to the left. She is just trying to muscle the jump because she has such explosive power, this does not help with any kind of consistency.... Trusova is trying to do too much too quickly in a way that is not systematic. I admire the heck out of her courage but she will need 2 more seasons to be able to have the 3 Axel with proper technique and 4 or 5 quads consistently without making stupid mistakes like falling on triple Lutz triple loop combination..... Look at Nathan Chen, he did not all of a sudden decide to come out and do 6 quads did he? No, Rafael systematically built up Nathan's consistency to where he is today.
@@paolocastellano2771 completely agree with you at all points. No hate toward any skater. I just feel even Trusova's quads and other Russian girls' quads are just 3+ air rotations. That's why 3A is difficult for them. 3A is actually difficult like 4 air rotations. Sorry for my broken Eng.

A triple axel is pretty much equal rotation to a quad Salchow, Toe Loop and Loop and Lutz and Flip the way the Russians do it as they over pre rotate all their quads to the 180 degree mark. So for all their quads, their practically only doing 3.5 rotations. Not to mention that many skaters including Yuzuru agree that a triple axel is harder than a quad toe and sal just because it so hard to keep trajectory and the landing. So it’s harder for the Russian girls to land the triple axel because their quads are also only rotating 3.5 < in the air and a triple axel has little to no pré rotation on the ice.
So sad she got injured. She would have been the top female now compared to the ‘top’ women nowadays. She’s superior to Kaori by far! Both technically and artistically. Miss her!
She really has small, tiny jumps, those are not huge jumps buy any mean, but she rotates sooooo fast and with great quality so she is able to make them fully.

You actually forgot the one she did at 2017 nationals and the one at 2017 junior nationals tho this last one was a 3a-3t-2t

They aren't huge jumps, but they're way better than Satoko's, who's so beautiful artistically, but whose jumps really are the tiniest in the game.
