Her success rate compared to 2018-2019 season has increased dramatically. I don't see a fall and only 1 pop in 4CC. Let's see if she can land 4S (at least couple of times) next season (if we will have a season during the you know what).
@@spandau4065 alena's 3a is very good, expecially for the first season with a new jump, but her landings are still pretty rough. and liza's axel despite of it's height looks very tense, her arm position during the enterance is very weird and she lacks both flow and speed that rika and alena have. rika's 3a is very fast and effortless + when jump is successful her landing is very solid. she is still the first and only one lady who can make 3a+3t combination, don't forget that
@@allacofeyn4769 Sis, Alena's landing is not rough, like you said it's the first season she used it and she never had a fall or a pop, only a stepout through all the season, you can see how solid her 3A is, and she improved it everytime she competed. I love Rika too but her 3A looks pretty dull, I don't seet fast and effortless elements, she can put 3T in combo that's very impressive, but remeber that both Liza and Alena can also do that combo but there's no need to do it in competition, Alena for instance, she repeats 3A and 3F, so she can only use 3T for once, she she chose to do 3F3T combo and put it in the second half, it can help her go gain more BV.
@@spandau4065 rough ending doesn't necessarily mean popping a jump. look at alena's 3a2t combo in GPF and you'll see that alena doesn't have good speed on the exit from 3a so her 2t is done basically in standing position without any flow. it happens to her pretty often so there is obviously a room for improvement for her in that department. rika's axel is not perfect, she should work more on difficulty of her enterances and exits but if you don't see a good speed and effortlessness in rika's 3a then well ... check your eyesight? there are so many commentators who said that rika's 3a looks like 2a just because of how fastly rotated and easy it looks. and i think it's pretty visible, expecially in her 3a in the short program this season. and being able to do something in practice doesn't mean that you can make it in the actual program. liza's 4t as an example
alla cofeyn I love rika too but the truth is her 3A is nowhere near Alena. Don't try to take down Liza, Liza is 25 years old, i wonder if Rika can jump 3A at Liza's level of now when she turned 25. Rika is a great example of practice is not euqal to competition, just looke at her 4S
Bullshit. Rika performs 3A after skating through half the rink without any steps controlling her speed. The most effortless and beautiful triple axel belongs to Alyona Kostornaia. She is the one who performs it truely effortlessly using series of complex steps before takeoff.

Joao campelo do you really know what is timing and air position? I love Rika but her air position is awful, she’s always off axis and her landing are shaky. Alena is far superior in all the aspects.
Rika has gained more consistency on her 3A, but sadly her 3A is tiny with shaky air position. Her height is not bad compared with other japanese ladies especially Satoko Miyahara (Japanese ladies as a whole are quite weak when it comes to jumping qualities), but her 3A is pretty dull among all the ladies who can jump 3A, whom including but no limited to Alena, Liza, Young and even some junior skaters.
The only lady you mentioned that has a better triple axel is Alena and just the solo jump because in combination Rika is the Best, I don't know who you try to fool, Shaky air position? Tiny jumps? Bad jumping quality? You must be joking or really blind
@@rafael00084 I wasn't joking and I was not trying to fool anyone, I was just telling the truth. You are butthurt because I pointed out something you don't want to accept. I love both Alena and Rika so I can judge fairly, Alena's 3A combo is definitely better than Rika, no one can add a 2T that smoothly, Rika's combo is not bad but pretty dull overall, and her jumps are really tiny, that's true.
It's amazing how she increased her consistency from last season.
Imagine next season improvement on her 3a and quads now with Brian Orser, Queen Rika!

Yohanes K yes, now the journey for making the quad salchow consistently will begin 🙏🙏🙏 hope she peak at the right time (in Beijing)
This comment aged really well!

Rika Kihira 3A queen
