You are correct. They recommend using low gear for the majority of driving. Using high gear at low speeds will reduce belt life and causes extra wear and tear on the clutches. In this case, it was a mix between faster open fields driving and slower woods driving. The majority was open field driving. To shift, you need to be at a complete stop. I chose to keep it in high gear thru the woods sections to avoid having to continually stop to shift between high and low gear. It did work just fine using high gear at slower speeds. At the next maintenance, we will see how the belt is wearing.
When driving the uforce you need to be in low gear under 15mph... You where in high doing 7-10mph.
