I made this! I found a front camera shot from this gig that was hiding in a video from 2.24.94 gig (night before) and it pops up during RFUS and Polly... see if you can spot it!
dannymac322 Thank you for the sharing and congratulation for the work done in video editing ;) I know it takes a long time to do, so I take this very seriously and concideration :) However , I think there are some points you could improvement. Including change too frequently cameras , as well as too unstable and blur views without interest, I understand that this is not an easy thing to achieve because the sources are not all the same quality and more very unstable , but too much angle of view change is staggering in addition to a headache and eyes after barely 10 minutes viewing. shame because I think a better video editing is possible with the more stable images and especially within the camera angle change .. but thank you again for this test ;) (I think you know your own mistakes already.. do not take bad because this is still only my personal opinion, I hope so right that this review is rather constructive and will help you improve) (ps: sorry for my bad English)
biffevana I made four other In Utero show DVDs into multitrack 5.1 ac3 dvds. Seperate channels for rear centre and front using various sources of audience recordings. I put em on zomb torrents. They all have many camera changes, I like it like this, its not meant to be a mistake! but also its the 5.1 which makes them cool, so check them out and I think some wont give you a headache..This is a change from most of the videos out there already done in this manner which you are talking about. I think this show is on youtube somewhere with less camera angles. I like more angle changes like the pro type nirvana videos do. Makes it feel more up-tempo. I love bootlegs and hate the de-shake option. It decreases sharpness and its only a filter. I could add that but takes away from the original thing and looks worse imo, and like the fewer angle changes option, they're on youtube. This is different.

Do you mean they used those 2 songs from this to fill out the video from the 24th? I'm confused :/ thanks anyway though I've just been discovering this treasure trove on UA-cam lately. These shows from the In Utero tour are their best ever I don't care what the hipsters say about the old days, Kurt was more animated, played better, healthier, whatever! I care what's blasting out of the speakers. I will forever regret missing Nirvana in Melbourne '92. Probably the sickest band ever. R.I.P. Kurt.
John Arundell Hey John I like our passion for Varnies! I think Kurt was his happiest, played his best etc at the end, no doubt about that. I think Do Re Mi was his best song, and his last. Im not saying he didnt pull the trigger himself, although a few fingerprints would have been nice hey?! would have shut Tom Grant up. But seriously..look how depressed he looked in 89... he clearly loved fame and fortune! Don't believe the hype. Listen to Krist "he was funny fun caring good guy".. strange how media portrays otherwise.
The shows-
So both shows were recorded by the same guys. This is where issues arise, and confusion begins! The 25th had 4 cameras recording. No more. The 24th had 2 cameras recording. no more. If you get the VHS "The last concert" which is the 24th... you will notice 4 shots! two 'other cameras' MOST people have noticed one of them (front/left), but not 2! Both are from the 25th! which is strange. MOST people knew the 25th had 3 cameras..LEFT SIDE, RIGHT SIDE, and FRONT/LEFT. Nobody noticed the 'FRONT' shot. The 'front' shot of 25th, seen VERY SPARINGLY and ONLY during RFUS and POLLY are only ever going to be found on the video "The last concert" (24th!) The guys who mixed 24th have added those angles to appear more cameras but its not true. (as you can see if you watch the "Last concert" VHS (it has red and black titles for each song as the show plays) it has 4 cameras. The other 2 are from 25th!
When I made the 25th video, I got hold of the 3 known full length angles. Then I got the 24th video, and disected those very few front shots during RFUS and POLLY, and placed them into the 25th mix, WHERE THEY BELONG! So if you ever watch 24th, and it claims more than 2 angles...its false. I made a 24th mix like this one because I couldnt stand how it had false angles in it. The real mix of 24th will only show you 2 angles. I put all these mixes on zomb torrents. BY the way, I think this means that the 'Left/front' and 'Front' shots from this gig (25th) were recorded by the guys who did both the 24th angles. And I think that means the LEFT SIDE AND RIGHT SIDE shots of this, 25th, were by amateurs who were not involved with the 2 guys who did the other 2 angles of this gig and both from 24th. HOPE that makes sense, its like that line at the end of Burn after Reading "What a Cluster F*#k" !!! To top it off.. I think the FRONT shot from 25th, is the best angle of the lot of them but its the only one where at this point we only have a minute of it :(
One of my Friends Friends was the guy who taped Nirvana 1-31-92. I got the tape now. He said he saw Kurt wave at the crowd and get into a Limousine out the back of The Palace" after the show.
dannymac322 First things first there is no way in the world Kurt Cobain was happiest at the end because by definition he was suicidal, and separated from his wife and daughter for more than a month while he was in Europe '94 :/ I'm just saying the performances were their best ever in my opinion just by the weight of the songs and that they played better and better since they really did tour a lot despite all the issues surrounding them. I don't think he loved fame and fortune either but don't want to argue with you I just don't see it. Anyway were you at those Melbourne shows or too young or what? Did they have to hide the camcorder or didn't the operators of the venue care in those days do you know? Did you know the all ages show from the next day was recorded by Triple J for Live At The Wireless? I just found some of it the other day on vinyl meant to be great quality but I haven't played it yet, 5 or 6 songs. I suppose the whole show was recorded and is in the vaults. Have you been trading and collecting all these bootlegs over the years in the days before UA-cam? I've just discovered them all lately so it's been great to see them. I never thought I would get to see what they were like in Melbourne let alone all the other great shows. Thanks for your efforts! If I can get a copy of my tour poster I will try to get you one if you're in Melbourne or Australia OK.

I didn't say it was a bad performance, I just think it's kind of sad compared to others.
***** So do I, I like most 94 shows. Grenoble, Modena, Paris...all great shows. I like how Nirvana was less "crazy" and more professional at that point, more "adult", which doesn't mean they didn't rock. I also think they worked really well as a 4-piece with Pat Smear and they did well in these big venues. But there are shows from 94 that make me sad, like this one : it's not a bad show by any means but as I pointed out, Kurt seems to be going through the motions, not quite there. Same thing for the very famous Rome show 3 days before.

For someone who was messed up on drugs and tried to kill himself a few days after this, he certainly didnt miss a beat or sang out of tune once on this tour.. There are many other concerts where I thought he looked like a mess or had lost interest in everything, but this is not one of them.
Not true, this was Nirvana's worst tour. sure it started out to be one of the greatest but Kurt wasn't into it. He was dealing with too much. From Courtney cheating, Geffen executive's all over his butt about his drug problem. Kurt constantly trying to find out where Courtney is, and talking to his lawyer Rosemary Carrol about a possible divorce.And I think he was already so burnt on touring. Kurt hated touring and he did much of it before they ever got big. Eve.n before this concert Kurt tried to stop the tour, quit the band and he did not speak to his band mates and told others he hated them and was gonna quit Nirvana start working with dude in REM.The tour was a mess. yea some shows Kurt showed up. Also they eould screw around alot changing instruments, really just trying to have fun, forget what the audience thought. After like an hour of loud electric Kurt would sit down and want to do acustic with cello.Personaly Ithink the best final proffesionally recorded concert where Kurt hit all the screams, jumped around a litttle like bleach days. And delivered one of the best concerts I have seen. And that is the MTV Live And Lood. If you haven't seen it and you love Nirvana live you need to see it.
