- Yippee-ki-yay ChemSquad! We finally react to ANGRA! We meant this as a tribute to the late great André Matos but little did we know that André was no longer a member of the band for this performance... FML.

If you want to see Andre Matos in action another really good song to react to is the Live version of Fairy Tale by Shaman (performance-wise)... really beautiful.

This is Edu Falaschi on vocals, second vocalist after Andre Matos left the band. This has happened to some other reactors who wanted to react to Andre, no problem at all...and yes, the lead guitar is Kiko Loureiro who is currently playing in Megadeth!

Heavy Metal lost his Maestro. Pianist, orchestra maeatro, lyric singer, spoke 5 language. The guy was a genius. Created Viper at 14 and at 16 was already well known in the metal scene, left to finish his music studies, then co-created Angra and the band represents a generation in Brazil. Thought it wasnt enough and left the band to create another huge band: Shaman. Shaman's Ritual was one of the best album in Power Metal history. Everything the guy touched was a sucess.

That's a old performance of a Dvd from 2002 if i'm not mistaken.
And yeah, the last notes where flat. This song is away beyond the natural vocal range of Edu Falaschi. The original was recorded by Andre Matos. Matos has a higher pitch voice.
If you guys wanna hear Edu in his Natural range try "Almah - You'll understand".
And to hear Angra with a really good musical arrangement try "Waiting Silence". It's a great song. Not so power metal and a bit more complex than Carry on.

Love Edu's voice.. even more than André's .. André's range is unbelievable (sometimes a little over the too, a little like Mipi Matijevic), but Edu's tone is more my style... There's an amazing song that he recorded with the band, my favorite Angra song, Rebirth... more suitable to his voice....

May I recommend a bit of Spanish metal! 'La Voz Dormida', 'La Venganzs de Gaia', or 'Dies Irae' by Mago de Oz. There's also another amazing one by them called 'La Cantata del Diablo', but its 21 minutes and 12 seconds long 😅 Anyway check them out for some awesome power-folk metal! Especially any where Jose Andrea is singing. I didnt like his voice at first but then I grew to love it.

@@ChemicalReactions André Matos was a genius, but please don't believe this crap about Angra being just another fairly good band without him... some of their finest work was written with Edu Falaschi on the vocals (the album Temple of Shadows is a masterpiece and for many fans their best effort)

@@ChemicalReactions Edu had a lot of trouble singing Andre's songs because Andre's tone was really high... after some years as Angra's frontman Edu had voice problems as a result of gastritis and took a long time to recover, but he is a great vocalist and musician too and totally worth your time (even if not on camera due to low requests from the audience).

You seem to not been reacting anymore, but I'll recommend to react to other brazilian song: Debil Metal by Mamonas Assassinas
If you guys wanna do a proper justice for his memory react to any song by shaman except Fairy Tale. Why? I love fairy tale, but everybody reacts to it. I reccommend Shaman - Lisbon or Shaman -Distant Thunder. Both Live!
