Thank God I only damaged a Werner truck, a bent rim, and an iron gate that a security guard & I picked up and installed back onto hinges..... All in one day. 6 months driving with Pam Transport, They treat you like shit. Hours worked don't show on your paycheck, Cause you only get paid when the wheels are turning. Then 16 years driving local, then let go because of High blood pressure and sleep apnea issues, could no longer pass DOT Medical. Now driving a Small Non-CDL delivery truck for the last 10 years of my working career till I hit retirement age. This shit was a waste of time. if I could have done it all over again, I would have chosen another career.
@@Scott6510 research schools and companies figure out where you want to go first. Some companies offer training through that specific company. So there's an option if you're just getting started. You should have clothes, toilet paper (yes, you read that right),food, bring plenty of water (comes in handy if you're stuck somewhere where you have no way to get water...or if you need to clean up a bit). Bring an electric skillet or a microwave unless the truck you get already has it. Be cautious about where you are while you're out there though.... The world isn't as nice or polite anymore... Pro tip I got from my trainer... The moment you think you know everything there is to know about the truck... Hang up your keys. Being out there you need an open mind. Just make sure you don't drive if you don't feel comfortable doing so, and don't let the dispatchers push you past your physical limit. (They will try to you to do more loads than you should be able to do, but don't let them control you. Just remember that you're the captain of the ship, they're not the ones driving.... Anyway I'm not trying to scare you away from being a truck driver. It's honestly a great job, dangerous but great. Just make sure you drive safe and make it home safely every time and you'll be just fine. Hope this answered some of your questions. Good luck!!!

I think during the lockdown was maybe your best chance at getting 800 mi because everyone was in the house and accidents and just everyday occurrences weren't happening as much so yeah it's pretty much impossible with just normal everyday life to run 800 mi in a day it will pretty much have to be perfect conditions no bad weather or anything to slow you down, but great job getting at 780 though! Not saying it couldn't be done though just would have to be near perfect driving conditions very small stops hardly any and maybe a little more than over the speed limit
How about 15 to 17 over limt in the seat 16 to 18 hours a day.back when speed limt was 55.equals 1017 miles a day.then speed limt up to 65 8 to 10 over limt hours same same 4280 miles a week 6 days a week.for 6 years.then the c d l started and the bull s. Began the beginning of the end took a lot of good drivers off the road.now what do you have today automatics and a lot of people that should not be even around trucks let alone drive them.how do you make any money driving 700 miles a day.

The 202 bypass is newly built which is why you have issues with the Garmin. So grateful for the new hwy. Interesting video. Im considering switching career fields.

you are good bro, watched many trucker youtubers but you are different….thanks for the good content, just passed my learner’s permit..
VERY GOOD TRUCKING video. Your videos are good because you don't jabber too much and show great scenery with good dialogue. Really like your channel~!
Missed the trucking vids, happy to see them again!
Talking about coffee at 4:57 I bought a portable k cup coffee maker at Walmart some years ago for my camp. It's an excellent coffee maker. Just need to boil some water and use a mug for stability. Amazon sells this coffee maker. It's called a Presto MyJo
I hope your having a good day RUSTy, keep us entertained during this lockdown period cheers again from the Philippines
Kabayan😁
whoa! we're 3 of us here. kabayan!

No issues with the gentleman praying in front of his truck. God bless him.
I am about to graduate Truck Driving school I’m excited and ready to go
I moved to Texas from Wisconsin almost two years ago now. I am slowly getting used to the heat. It's not as bad as Arizona in August that's for sure!
So I have discovered that truckers are very respectful people on the internet.
The old grumpy ones yea lol
Why is this so fascinating to watch?
idk... lol
I wish I had a dash cam when I first started! I saw a lot of interesting spots!
Floor it and see what happens , love it lol 😂
And I agree Texas is a great state to be in , especially right now
The cheap wind x stuff from Walmart work wonders spay it on wait 5 minutes hit ur windshield wiper and every thing is gone
Oh how are you doing
Had the same issue on my assigned cascadia. We popped the sensor off as well!
I'm only 14, but in the future, I want to get into trucking
Same
You've set your aspirations high
like my 3rd load with my 1st company i ever drove cdl for, swift. picked up a load in atl and took it to the swift yard in Phoenix. did a few days of 10 to 11 hrs driving days. took a 34 hour restart in odessa, tx at a motel. that was in 2010
Thanks for showing this, I may become a long haul trucker in the future.
Much love out of Birmingham!
Glad no one tried to rob you.
Thank you to all truck drivers...( from a non driver). We need you and you are appreciated 🙏
I was an owner operator from 95 to 05 remember when i would load fri night in Long Bch Calif and be in Miami Fl. 7:00 am Mon morning but back then we did things a little different it was nothing to run a 1000 miles or 16 to 20 hours in a day played that game with the D.O.T catch me if u can and no real electronic tracking back then but then again I rarely crossed a set of scales just had to make sure u were real good at doing your log books that was when trucking was fun LOL... u bought back some good memories
Another EPIC video from my favourite trucker!!
Your voice is most hyped when you shout out "I'm gonna be eating free everyday".
Nice video bro I actually love driving nights so peaceful keep it going
That new 202 in West PHX going behind South Mountain is a saver!!!!
👋I’m really impressed with your comment, if you don’t mind friendship where are you from?
I drive local but fueling the trucks is now harder today, because the truck only has one fuel tanks, and you have to follow the fuel optimizer or you wont get fuel and you have to fuel up at the loves station that you hate.
Welcome back Rusty I’ve missed your trucking videos, when are you going to Finnish your Toyota pickup truck? Also any good news on a cab for the Volvo VNL? Yet Be safe and keep well.
I drove from Clearwater, FL to Santa Fe, NM without stopping except for gas, I'm not sure what the time was though.
And here I’m thinking that I drove a lot at 800km a week because driving on the job for surveying lmao. Can’t imagine driving that much in a day. Insane
Most I’ve done in a single day was just shy of 1k miles. My truck ain’t governed, and I’m on paper logs. Wide open and hammered down in the plains
I'm european trucker, here everybody envy you the speed and space in cab. Take care:)
Those bugs aint shit compared to the love bugs, you know that!
Ran into those in Texas, their were called Baptist prayer bugs, they were together but didn't face each other
Good to see friends, I am also a trucker sharing stories aswell
Wow I love you guys stories
I suggest mounting the Jackalope as a hood ornament.

The Volvo's mirrors never fell off ... Too funny.
Flyer's partner Greet you Marcos Ramirez from Ecuador, here also work handling trucks with trailers, although I do not know the English language I enjoy watching your video (use translator for this video) Greetings to all over there.
Jajaja no ponga saludos al viento o como se diga, porque el traductor lo traduce de otra forma y no tiene sentido ni se entiende. Pero saludos compa y arriba Ecuador 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hello how are you doing today
@Hello Marcos how are you doing
I just want to say THANK YOU i really want to be a truck driver and watching this video just made me feel good about my decision
😔 Music covers the best part of the video... Road noises 😟 love listening to the driving on the road noises, lol, not even sure how you guys stay awake, I'd be afraid I'd fall asleep! Lol! Very soothing 😴
9:04 actually RDCworld1 proved that the best food comes from places that look like somebody’s house 😂😂

You drive safely. Hope you’re doing good today?
Neat video. I've been considering becoming a truck driver for a couple of years now. Your video makes me think, "go for it!" I realize there is bs associated with trucking too. How common is it to get a HOS violation?
Not that common

Always appreciate truckers running the state towing speed limit of 55 mph and keeping to the right-hand lanes on California roadways....

Reloaded feeder calves in Paicines California Saturday morning at 8 am and delivered Sunday afternoon at 2 pm in red cloud Nebraska. It’s lovely not having to run a log book cuz if covid lol
