- High Density Grazing of Cover Crops with Rocco Sinicrope at the Grandview Farm-watch Rocco move a herd of sheep and lambs (along with one cow, a donkey and some goats) in a rotational grazing pattern around our field of lush cover crops to begin to knock it down and prepare it for another planting cycle.
Nice job Rocco. The one paddock that was trampled well looked perfect.

It is cute how they seem to really get the mob grazing spirit! I had just been wondering how small you can be to mob graze. I am retiring to a one acre plot in florida. I would plant a cover crop and graze a nursing pair for a season if I could get the amounts right.
What variety of grain have you used?
Last season we were discussing the changes in height for the hay crops since we were kids. We have photos of the crop being as high as the tractor tyres but these days it’s barely up to your knees. We were wondering if it’s more to do with fertility or seed variety breeding.

I like the idea, but It seems kind of intensive. Do you have other chores to do during moves or you just moves others water? How does that work?
Not as intensive as driving a tractor with a mower/crimper and then a disc/plow. He can get plenty done in between the moves and also save the diesel. That is the whole idea to let the animal power do the work of a tractor and human.
Do you raise bees also? We just wondered, because bees seem to like clover.
