I'm a 21 year trucking veteran, and I can tell you that I learn new things about the industry every day. so I'm like this, the driver made a,"save" as far as I'm concerned. he didn't damage anything or kill anyone. so that's a good thing. people putting him down must be the typical 4-wheeler types out there that knows absolutely nothing about trucking. I rest my case
agreed I have to make this quick because im starting my shift soon but I had to back up a little bit a time or two before to clear a right turn. As long as you dont hit anything or damage any property, thats a win. The fail comes in when you hit something or irreparably damage property or record a video of a trucker playing it safe than sorry.
ok... well he did screw the pooch on that turn .. A CDL class A driver can see he would have needed to be in the left lane to make around.. but.. that said .. he did some things correctly. he stopped. set the breaks and Got Out And Looked !!! so he backed up and went straight .. make the next turn .. learn and move on.. didn't hit anything and didn't destroy a curb or lay down a sign .. and yes the 4 wheel drivers have no idea!!
+andrew lane that corner could have been done easy with a button hook and some straight up driving . ie know you have a bad turn .. start hugging the left lane so as to have room to make your button hook ... for all the little boys out here a button hook it when you bring you tractor out past the turn placing you rear trailer wheels in line to make them go around then you snap you tractor back around in to the lane put you tractor where it should be and your trailer will go where it needs to be
right turn failure would have been taking out that damn traffic light. all i see here is a driver who recognized his mistake, and made it right by not hitting, damaging or killing anything. get off your high horse if you've never made a wrong turn or slightly screwed up while making a turn.
He did exactly what he should have done. He didn't keep going. He stopped, let the people behind him know that he was backing up and got out of a tuff spot. This is a win for the driver and his company
everyone makes mistakes sooner or later...no need to badger this guy about it...as long as he learns from the mistake then its a win! bonus points no one was hurt and nothing damaged other then pride!
Not even mad at him. He saw he wouldn't make it clean, so backed out and tried something else. Saw someone say two wrongs don't make a right, but three lefts do. That long of a load may not have even made it from the left lane.
I think that at times, people panic, and do things that they normally would not do. Kind of a self induced 'tizzy'. I've seen a number of semi's get off freeways in the middle of nowhere, onto some tiny frontage road, where there's not even enough room to turn either left or right at the intersection there. And NOTHING in sight, indicating a REASON to get off there. Happy trails everyone.
This is the exact reason he should have had an escort. He looked way over length. Second, he should have had a truckers GPS. This is strictly for truck routes only.
That's why I like the other kind of semis "cabovers" better because they're easier to maneuver in & speakin of cabovers, I very seldom see any out on the roads here in the USA nowadays.
You also should know he has to strap that load himself, probably overworked, sleep deprived, and new! And people wonder why there's a CDL drought and the economy is tanking in that industry. I thought it was enough that the government doesn't care about truckers as much as they should, but it disgust me that ignorant Class C drivers or big headed douchey truckers harshly judge mistakes like this. These prevent thousands of newcomers to try trucking out and screws up the American economy big time! It's too much to ask for people to grow up...
that turn was impossible because of the median with that yellow tall marker in the way. I would have saw that and kept straight then turn at a wider street
He caught himself before a fail happened. Had common sense to get out and have traffic back up. No fail here at all. The only fail here is your crappy music .
I'm a Commercial Vehicle driver here In BC, And for the most part, it's always the idiot vehicle drivers driving like idiots, but this dude, makes all us Commercial truckers look bad.

Lol i get it..gotta make three left turn to get where he have to go.
Facts
When all else fails go around the block
Well he didn't wreck it. He stopped and took in his situation and found a safer move.
He didn't kill anyone or break anything...

Super Truckers banging away under fucking keyboards LOL I'd like to see you out in the real world trying to do that you probably drive a Prius
It would have been s fail if he hit someone or something. He still played it somewhat safe and got out of the situation
right turn failure would have been taking out that damn traffic light. all i see here is a driver who recognized his mistake, and made it right by not hitting, damaging or killing anything. get off your high horse if you've never made a wrong turn or slightly screwed up while making a turn.
That spooky music should have tipped him off.

Wouldn't right turn fail mean that someone actually tried to attempt a right turn?
He did attempt a right turn.ty
I say he handled it pretty well. He didnt freak out etc. and Music is awesome.
what beat is this
This is the exact reason he should have had an escort. He looked way over length. Second, he should have had a truckers GPS. This is strictly for truck routes only.
Great save

Well the music made him look like a G . haha
Name on the hood says it all
should've gotten on the far left lane if it really was that important
At 0:44 I thought he saw the light and decided to make 3 left turns instead then he started to back up....*sigh*.
You also should know he has to strap that load himself, probably overworked, sleep deprived, and new! And people wonder why there's a CDL drought and the economy is tanking in that industry. Button hook my friend
that turn was impossible because of the median with that yellow tall marker in the way. I would have saw that and kept straight then turn at a wider street
+BIGBLU19 I could have made that turn been doing this for 25 years
+Kevin Stanley yea just grab a further left lane

I don't get it !!! why in the fuck do these people get to pass there test to drive !!! that corner could have been done with a simple button hook
A button hook can cause a car to sneak up on the side. Should have just gone down the next street.
yeah he should of made a right turn from the left lane, its alright, us truck drivers learn from it.
There is not a left lane there. There is no way that a trailer can make it there. Just find another route.
i try not to poke fun at rookies, but damn. does this guy even have a license? he seems completely clueless
Your right a total fail!
