I know these guys are in the break room and all that stuff so you know they’re allowed to relax, but these scenes always irritated me. Not for what Russell Crowe’s character did at the end here. But the fact that these guys were all so absorbed in their sports match that not only did they leave the phone off the hook or turned the ringer off. But even after being told about the operation that was happening, they still didn’t change anything. Now I served in the army so I didn’t do this kind of thing. I was just a regular grunt. But regardless the behavior of all of these individuals, especially the commanding officer is just absolutely appalling. I know they’re human beings. But that doesn’t change the fact that they all basically behaved like a bunch of frat boys. and things like this reflect poorly on the rest of the military.

whomever the casting director is should be court-martialed. You have Army Ranks on Airforce uniforms. You have a so-called Captain who is not even wearing a uniform and about 200lbs overweight and no shave. Come on guys if you are going to make a military movie at least get the uniforms right. It kills the feal when you see sht like that.
It’s a movie, not a documentary. In reality this would be court martial for the Colonel and at the very least Article 15 and admin separation for everyone else in that room.
They should all be court marshalled for refusing the Call of Duty
I agree with @silencia08 all the Air Force crewmen and their superior should be court martial for not paying attention to the phone.
While the other doesn’t take too seriously!

Agree
Put all of them on charges
Agreed. That’s negligence and dereliction of duty. That Colonel would lose his command for doing that shit shirking his responsibility.
I think his reaction is actually pretty mild. Given the severity of what they did, they could have been brought up on charges.
They will , that colonial is going to get his @$$ handed to him . at least in reality he would !!

The colonel not gonna do that cause then he'd have to explain why he's taking it out of you bonuses pay and then he's right back in the hot seat

Not skipping out on his job and getting people killed to watch a game? Just a guess
