The one next to O'Sullivan I would guess is the bishop of Calabria whos pride is hurt because he was passed over, or a friend of his based on how he reacts. The Cardinal doesn't care at all about the meeting, right until Amorth brings up the dead girl and the congregation, those get his attention. And the guy to his right is just vibing.
Apparently, the church "Sharpening its relevance" has meant the Pope allowing priests to bless same sex marriage.
Congratulations to the Pope and the Catholic Church for trampling on the Holy scriptures.
Haven't seen the movie... but after this, I think I have to see it... nice 👍
This movie looks good.. Russel always doing great work.
we need a second movie, Crowe was phenomenal.
I watched this movie a few months ago and wasn’t expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. Crowe gave a great performance and it was a good plot.
I’ve added this to my annual October Halloween movie viewing list. Hope there’s a sequel to this.
I watched this film on a flight and while it is not my usual type of film I really enjoyed it despite my misgivings. Well worth a watch.
It’s always that “young lieutenant” who thinks he/she has authority over experience and knowledge
Father: My position was appointed by my bishop. My local bishop is the Pope. If you have a problem with me, talk to my boss.
The Pope: To quote Mother Mary,
"Do whatever he tells you."
You haven't been dismissed..KOO KOO 😂😂😂 EXELENT.. BRAVO 👏👏
Maximus after retiring from being a soldier and gladiator, took up modern Italian and became a spiritual warrior instead in his beloved city of Rome
Russel got game. Coo coo.
Love the Italian flowing so fluidly off the tongue.
Literally convinced me to see this movie.
How many times a day do you use the word literally?
4:32 “Coo-Coo” 😂😂
Pretty crazy that Crowe has two exorcist movies in like the last 5 years and they are not related at all.
Russells accent is very nice, hard to be Italian without being Italian....
In Master and Commander Russell said he had to learn to play the Violin, said it was the hardest task he ever had...if he's telling the truth then Hat's off to Russell that learning Italian as it was an easier task.
I have been an Exorcist dozens of times during my life. I have had to exorcised the many spirits of bars, pubs, and restaurants, to include such spirits as Don Tito's, Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, and so forth. All usually the next morning. Let me tell you...those battles are tough!
Now I have to find and watch this movie.
It's a solid watch.
If you have a problem with me, take it up with my boss. Best line ever
It's nice to see Bailan Skull has a new job
The fact his beliefs and respect is to the core of the church and her beliefs, his role is stated, his appointment is without question, his home is the home of the faith house, and his superiors are only the pope and God himself.
Oddly enough, this is the scene that brought me back to the faith.
Russel's Italian is pretty good ....Complimenti!
Hes " ko-ko " was so dope xD
His ability to do an italian accent speaking in his mother language is admirable
A man that knows the "Boss" has his back.
not gonna lie if the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith you should be worried the Inquisition meddling is always something to be afraid of.
If Evil doesn't not exist what then the Church is all about?? Two answer,s either church become completely materialistic and thus atheistic or more likely church switched its side.....
If Evil exists and God Exists then God Created Evil...Yes?
@@keithfarrell4882the conception of Free will allowes evil to exist...
Neither. It always belonged to Satan.
@@sas6384 😈😈😈😈

The young priest is like the woke progressive movement in the western world. Like the symbolism.
He answers ONLY to the pope
"If evil doesn't exist, then what is the purpose of the church?"
Russel after exorcising the devil: ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?
I find it difficult to chill 😎 with these film 🎥 🎞 🎦 🎬 📽 clips
Now I have to see this.
I found it scurrilous that they turned Father Amorth’s career as an exorcist into a Disney supernatural job.
that little hand gesture at 1:50 like he's saying "who tf are these people?"
everytime I see russell crowe I cant shake him off my head when he said that line in Thor *YOU CANNOT COME TO THE ORGY!!!!*
The disrespect the church has to god is unforgivable
A young man leading this council? I dont think so.
Not leading, that's the Cardinal's role, but a loud-mouthed, bureaucratic, tradition-hating bishop. Too young, anyway.
The manspread on Crowe in this scene is grand.
Might have to watch that one!
its a decent flick, i was entertained.
@@Arguments_only watched it last night... I be entertained...
@@eagleeye761 nice! :) I hope there´s sequel.
@@Arguments_only Could be 199 sequels.... but I hope they condense it into just a couple more... lolol...
Excellent performance by RussellCrowe
I loved this movie. Russel was great and if they did things correct they could have a great franchise here like the conjuring.
what was the hand gesture all about at 1:50 ?
Was this a subtle " faka yuuu" ?
Co co!
This movie was really good
I want to watch the movie.
The ole crowe with a italien akzent!? Scusa, in my head, i only see Zeus, with his little skirt, in front of Thor. Burnt on my brain.
He really does travel around the world to beat people.
Fantastic movie
That one dude is VERY young to be a Cardinal.
"Coo coo" best line ever lol
Gotta love Crowe. Coo coo. Brilliant. I laughed so hard when I first saw that.
The scene makes no sense according to the Catholic Vatican structure other than to give the audience an exposition dump and provide artificial resistance to the main character.
I quite liked the character. There could be more in the series. Like a Knives Out Benoit Blanc for the horror world.
The Garden of Love
By William Blake
I went to the Garden of Love,
And saw what I never had seen:
A Chapel was built in the midst,
Where I used to play on the green.
And the gates of this Chapel were shut,
And 'Thou shalt not' writ over the door;
So I turn'd to the Garden of Love,
That so many sweet flowers bore.
And I saw it was filled with graves,
And tomb-stones where flowers should be:
And Priests in black gowns, were walking their rounds,
And binding with briars, my joys & desires.
3:52 I love Bishop Lumumba's face when Amorth squares up, a tight little smile cos he knows what's coming and he's loving every minute. No reaction when the girl gets mentioned, still smiling when Amorth tells them all to talk to his boss. 😆
Whoever says the Church must modernize is basically saying the Church has to become a show.
I almost lost it at " cuckoo " 🤣🤣
Do you know how much this conversation would never take place? 😂 Ya let’s have a 25 year old rudely berate the most successful exorcist in the community working on behalf of the pope ….
I loved this movie
Maximus Decimus Meridius for ever
the part where he says KUKU i fucking died when i watched the movie :D
Did he just ask him for a cafe latte?
