one of the corner bolts.

holding the car up.
And placing blocks

well, to ensure my safety.

Yeah, sure... so easy unscrew the nuts... In real life they are so rusty you need a blow torch and a pneumatic hammer to loosen them

That's why you spray the bolts with PB Blaster and come back the next day. Worked for me on my 21-year old car.

Yes you can. Just unscrew the 2 bolts from underneath the turbo and then with a 19mm unscrew the one on the block.
Good luck. I couldn’t get drill in to drill mine out with carbide drill bit. Ended getting lucky by welding a nut on to the little piece of stud sticking out and heating the block up

No. Studs and multilayer stainless steel gaskets can be reused if they are clean and level.
I learnt this too unless you are poor you should replace them every time

That seemed so effortless, so why does a shop say it takes 8 to 10 hours?
I was actually most impressed by how she pulled the packaging off the new gasket without immediately dropping it onto the floor.

Victor Rienze Re-Movit spray cleaner. You can see the cans with black caps near the end of the video.

Victor Rienz Re-Movit. It's seen near the end of the video. Any gasket remover spray will work. Use a plastic scraper if crap is baked on so you don't gouge the mating surface and create weak spots between the gasket and manifold.

I steer clear of Victor-Reinz. Rebuilt a BBC a couple years ago. The rear main looked funny to me. I measured it. It was .020" too big on the crank side. Had I not noticed that, can you imagine how much oil would have been dumped all over the clutch, bell housing, and floor? Then pulling the motor again and replacing it and everything else to get to it? I "attempted" to contact Victor Reinz. US offices, European office, e-mails... I got no response. Totally unacceptable. The vendor I bought the gasket set from? They said the only way they could do anything was to return the entire gasket set... Resolution? Bought a Felpro rear main at the local parts store. What a fiasco. I won't buy Victor-Reinz unless I am in a spot where it is the only brand available.

You have to be related to the individuals responsible for the video. THERE IS NO WAY YOY FOUND THIS INFORMATIVE WHEN NOT ONE WORD WAS SPOKEN. Nothing was explained , AT ALL.. all we learned was….. nothing . That little fairies come in middle of night and take everything off for you . Loosen all your bolts , steam clean the engine .for you so you only have to apply 12 inch pounds of torque to take your manifold bolts out.

Ya right! Ridiculous video.. she had that in and out in 2 minutes. If this was about the spray she was using. Then ok.for anyone who never done this before ..stop and call someone or go garage. This isn’t like changing a tire. It can be extremely frustrating for even the most experienced mechanics. Now consider you don’t have a lift or a crew of people to take everything off to get to the manifold and loosen all your bolts for you and steam clean the engine before you even attempt it .. you most likely will break bolts . Then your screwed because they will be hardened and nearly impossible to drill out without a carbide bit or to burn it out. Bottom line this isn’t easy at it looked and you could end up much worse off then when you started
Hey buying a old car and it’s around the time to get all the gaskets changed I was gonna attempt myself but if I take it to a shop would it cost a arm and a leg? I was thinking I’d pulling the engine out
Got on here to see how it was done because I need to remove an exhaust manifold. I don't however own a shop with a way to put my vehicle up and make it such an easy task. Im going now to watch a man do this who can show me how a lay person who does not have her own shop would do the job.

I think you’re mistaken in this video. If you pause at 7:34 you can clearly see the chef rubbing his hands on his apron. Fair enough he’s not washing them properly but he’s at least making an effort. Besides, he was cooking with tripe so I think washing hands would have been unnecessary anyway.

What a load of garbage this is nothing like really removing a exhaust manifold, I didn’t see any rust nor did she have to apply ANY force to get the bolts off, so listen up every one this video only applies to you if you just drove your car from the dealership in brand new condition, otherwise this is just how we wish changing a exhaust manifold would go 🤣🤣🤣
