Can someone confirm if the bolts should be oiled? I’m worried lubricating the treads would alter the torque needed.
It depends on the engine! Check a workshop manual for your car/engine (+the version of the engine and perhaps the year it was made). In the case of my car's engine you screw the bolts un-oiled.

your job is very good but after applied sum oil on head balts you shud wipe extra oil from head balts
It gets full of oil over the head bolts when engine starts so no need whatsoever
