THIS IS WHAT TO USE IN PLACE OF O-RING.{IN SUBJECT}EXAMPLE. THE COUNTER BORE IN THE BLOCK DOES NOT RETAIN O-RING. MUST INSTALL DRY OTHERWISE IT WILL SLIP IN BORE AS DID HAPPEN. JUST TRY. LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. I WORKED ON AND WAS A FACTORY TRAINED TECH. IN OUR DEALERSHIP BACK IN 1974 WITH THE BULLET PROOF 16 AND 1800 SUBIES. KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB YOUR DOING.!!!!
Just another example of why the utmost attention to detail is required when building any engine to be reliable. That's why this place is like Subi-heaven.

Dang 3 of 4 rod bearings held up fairly well considering what they were put through being oil starved and you know the guy was revving the shit out of it given that clutch status

your workshop is awesome ! I worked on my uncle's workshop that does the same thing you do, and i got so impressed when i look to your machines and compare to my uncle's. He has so olds machines, but not because he want, he can't buy these kinds of machines because its too much expensive. If every mechanic had these machines, would stay too much better to work.

Ich fahr zwar kein Subaru, aber ich bewundere Menschen die bei jedem Handschlag Herzblut lassen.
I had the radiator drain Petcock fail while going 85mph down the freeway, cooked my EJ205 in my 02 Wagon.... got a replacement for free from a radiator shop. 0$ part costing me 1300$ to machine and rebuild this engine. Keep up the great work and thanks for the video. PS: epoxy the drain plug in.

Эти болты на насосе надо на фиксатор резьбы сажать и в нескольких местах допиливать этот насос. Они там постоянно откручиваются.

Harry from Texas USA have you ever tried reaming the main bearings in the vertical position with your hand reamer I think it may be easier and the weight of the reamer would not be on the bottom of the block jus saying 🧐

Sadly I may have just run into this issue with my 2006 WRX . Oil light came on and car is acting strange to say the least. Any suggestions would be welcome. I don't trust any of the local shops in my area to work on the EJ.
