I agree! I've commented many times that I think the background music is too distracting but I'm not too sure if it's just the problem with my phone....
I love your dynamic with Ali! These conversations sound so productive, wholesome and genuine. Do you plan to continue with Woke Wednesdays after you move out?
I'm on my 1 hour lunch break at work - I spent 25 mins watching this while eating and now i'm determined to spend the remaining time planning my next UA-cam video! Thanks for the motivation guysss, amazing
23:01 - disagree with this point, try working a full day in retail. It’s awful and since doing it full time alongside uni, I’ve gained so much more respect for people that do and understand why starting a side hustle isn’t that simple for everybody
BUT I AGREE WITH THIS 23:44 - people like that are annoying! To have the privilege to be able to quit and refusing to do so purely out of fear is foolery and honestly quite sad. I think if Ali met people who struggle, he’d form some degree of understanding :)
Here is something from someone who is "positively ancient" (33) and quit her job twice in last one and a half year... being an entrepreneur isn't the only motive to quit your job...
Everytime I watch Woke Wednesdays with Sheen and Ali, I genuinely feel that these are my people. Like man, we'd be hyping up each other with our similar outlook on life! 😍
Sometimes I feel like Ali really contradicts himself... He has just released a video talking about working 4 hours a day and here he says that working in the evening after you finish your day job should not be a problem and don't tell me you're even tired. What if I am? What if I don't want to work more than 8 hours a day? I know that he doesn't say that being an entrepreneur is for everyone but at the same time a) no, working all the time is not healthy even when you're young b) people have various energy levels, health issues etc and some people struggle to even keep their day job. I hate the hustle culture.
I think you may have misunderstood the part that Ali says he has laid out processes and systems in place that he can only work for 4hrs ...but in this video he is highlighting that he can work even more hours if he chooses to not because he is forced to as per the traditional job. As for the issue if after 8hrs if you need to rest take the time ,but in days when you don't feel as tired you can still work on your side hustle.
@@IESWlodarczyk There’s no such thing as universally healthy. Some people function well working all the time. Others want relaxation. Either way, the more **productive** hours you put in, the more you get out of it. You just have to find out how much you want it and how much you’re willing to sacrifice.
@@resantic2256 I see that Ali’s concept around it often revolves around doing what feels like “work to others, but play to you”. So, when I hear Ali talking about how he works for long hours-I don’t see him as someone who’s hustling or overworking. I see him as a guy who enjoys what he does slightly more than most people. I think he’s mostly chosen the right battles so far to keep him interested for so long.
@@zahidibr I don't criticize his lifestyle. It's wonderful that he's happy with what he's doing. I'm talking about imposing it on others or telling people it's the right thing to do (even if he says he doesn't do that - he is an extremely successful influencer that lots of people try to mimic after all).
Hi Sheen 😊 - Congratulations on your new job 💐🥳🎉🎊 I always look forward to your Woke Wednesday conversations with Ali, always interesting to listen to. 💖👑
23:01 it depends on which country you're working in and which industry you're a part of. I remember my old job as a banker in India required me to work for 13 to 14 hours everyday. It was extremely exhausting.
I am in Management Consulting and we work literally 15 hours a day.... I eat in front of the screen and I don't even get to think about anything else.... 🥺 It's a thing .. these scenarios exist in real life.....
Love this discussion. It’s interesting to listen to your viewpoints - food for thought. The background music was a tad too loud though, making it slightly harder to hear (with headphones on). Could you maybe slow it down a notch next time? Just wanna hear your both your voices clearly :) can’t wait for future woke Wednesdays x
I think you both need to be careful about glamorising quitting your job. You can’t expect people to quit their job when they don’t have an alternative means of income. It would be sensible to advise people to build something first where they have a solid income coming in. Ali had an alternative source of income and it was comfortable for him to quit. This is not the case for everyone and it doesn’t make you “less brave”.
Thank you it needed to be said, there will be young people especially watching this assuming and picturing them being able to not work a job and become super famous overnight and have a stable income and an amazing life, and the thing is if anyone and everyone could do that, none of us would would a ‘normal’ job and we would all do this or another way of getting a large income and quitting our jobs.
I agree with what you said but they did mention that they are speaking from a place of privilege and that if you arnt making ends meet the obviously not and also near the end they mention they whole do something on the side until your able to quit once the 'something on the side' hits off
I absolutely loved this video, As a student currently in the sixth form I have this perception for my upcoming career and ambitions, however, many would disagree with me and end up complaining about their situation of not having enough time. Fab video loved it very much. The idea of starting when you are young is highly applicable in today's world. #in my opinion
I enjoy my work. I work 2 days a week and I’m a mum, wife and me for rest of week. Im content being employed. I don’t want to quit but I do want to be more creative and do more self love projects.
I really don't know what Ali is suggesting to quit for? (A "better" life?) Or who Ali is really addressing with his call to "quit, quit, quit". Maybe he is surrounding himself with too many high achieving people (established youtubers, cambridge graduates etc.) that are capable. Reflecting a world view where every person has kind of extraordinary abilites or that these abilites are just ordinary. I think we will see what his part-time youtuber academy will bring to the people who partake. Showing kind of empirical evidence what someone who is surely willing to explore the entrepreneurial path can truly achieve. But maybe i am just too pessmistic about what one can seriously manage to do. Or i am valuing the classic 9 to 5 job too highly because i haven't begun mine yet.
You obviously don’t quit and wait for your life to get better. You just replace the time working a 9 to 5 with doing something else that brings in money.
@@resantic2256 but they are making that sound super easy and just Because they grew quickly they assume everyone can do that?? It’s not realistic and I don’t get why they are putting a downer on the 9 to 5, some of them jobs are amazing and many people enjoy it as it fits there lifestyle and they can still do so much in there time like travel and leisure.
I didn't know people from Mauritius know about Rashmalai, Biriyani similar eid celebrations like Indian subcontinent. I also mistook you for an Indian. Would you like to make a video about your country, language, culture and location only?
Sorry to hear that, I would advise you to do work experience if you can while being financially stable, do lots of research and envision where you want to be 5 or 10 years down the line, try it and if you don’t like it, pick yourself back up and try again x.

I wish I can quite my job, but I needed to help my family, so here I am working in a job that I hate and don't have anything related to wat I really study for the last 6 years
That’s a really hard situation and it can take a toll on your mental health, I’d advise you to do research on avenues such as apprenticeships that are well payed and can get you to climb the ladder without being in debt in education.
could you please do a video on islam and your beliefs? it would be amazing to see your perspectives on things. the misconceptions and your views on the verses or the parts of the religion that people use against islam. i am learning about religion, judaism, christianity and islam at the moment and would love to hear your views!
I think you should acknowledge that you do have (a) better jobs and/or (b) better will power than average and that most people just have neither to be able to start a side gig. Even when you "only" have a 9.5 hour work day (compared to the 15hour work in another comment), in the 2 hours/day when you aren't commuting, doing housework, cooking, getting ready for work, you wouldn't have the energy to think about anything.... The truth is, unfortunately, most of us just aren't as talented as you two, so even if we may have the same work hours, due to our lack of efficiency/capability at work, we do have to use up more energy at work, hence resorting to mindless TV after work... Of course we all know that this isn't ideal, but some of us are just built to be lazier/incapable than you.
ali wot are u on about mate.. u never quit ur job to start a business u literally had the business setup before u quit.. so u telling ppl to quit their job to JUST START A BUSINESS BRO is ridiculous.

I’m sorry to say this but I actually agree with you, this is why I am really concerned by some ‘productivity you-tubers’ as they try and accommodate from themselves all the time, generally speaking
He prob quit his job because the income was high enough off his channel to not work the other job. Is Ali going to make dog training videos?
