Thank you so much for your videos man, about a year ago I wanted to cut my own hair but I was really scare to fuck it up but with the help of some of you videos I was able to give myself the best haircut I ever rocked, and have been cutting my own hair ever since.
Ive been following you and dre for awhile now, and i gotta say you two are really good barbers in many different ways. I actually learned how to cut my hair from you first lol. Then i saw dre's channel and he also helped me out. And then i went to another channel called "FADED CULTURE". you guys helped me out ALOT! no more paying 40 dollars for a haircut. I always wanted to be a barber myself but just at home. You and the others got me motivated to be one so i bought clippers and trimmers you guys use and i really love them! Thank you again alex for your barber service and helping people out with self haircut tutorials. Love you my guy! stay blessed! 🙌🏿

Hi Alex, I've been enjoying your videos for some time now and started my own journey of cutting my own hair for two years now! I'm currently liking the technique that "the faded culture" uses. It is a two way fade with very little lever play. I would love to hear your feedback on their method!
1. no guard lever closed --> first guideline
2. no guard lever open --> second guideline (fingers width)
3. 1 guard lever open --> third guideline (fingers width)
4. 1.5 guard lever open --> blending in the top (1/2 fingers width)
5. 2 guard lever open --> blending in the top
6. 3 guard lever open --> blending in the top
7. 4 guard lever open --> blending in the top
8. .5 guard lever 3/4 open --> blending second guideline halfway (the .5 leaves a little line in between the second and the third guideline)
9. 1 guard lever 3/4 open --> blending in the little line that the .5 guard left
10. no guard blending in the first guideline in 3 phases: lever closed --> lever half way --> lever open
i hate the middle line so much, always scared of that one

What gaurds are you using on your surker clippers? I have some basic Wahl guards from a cheaper set I got at walmart, but they're not quite snug and sometimes fall off.

loving your videos! now I cut my hair like number 1 top, 0,5 and 0 on sides. I really wonder how you would look with shaved like 1 or shorter and bald look mate! hope one day you will can do it^^
