I lived in rural CT. We had an acre of woods that looked like this. You brought back memories of hearing the icy branches make a symphony of twinkles, booms and crackles. Then came the sad part when the birch tree branches came crashing to the ground.
Would have been a great April fools joke if when you said there were moose tracks you looked down to a ice cream container of moose tracks ice cream great video thanks for bringing us along
It’s 33 to up to 45c year round where I live, so this like a different planet to me. I can’t help but think that beavers would be great for drought relief
@@post.10 Next time you are in southern Wv , check out the old train station down in Thurmond and When the river is low enough , you can see the old train car that went off the rails years ago still in the middle of the water right off the bridge . Then when your done stop by the Cold Spot for the best wings you will ever have!
So I looked at the map and here in the UK we are further north than Maine. But I find it unbelievable there is still so much snow around there at this time of year. When on earth does spring start? Here the daffodils are nearly over, the wild garlic is growing everywhere, the woods are full of anemones and violets and a few early bluebells. I know this sounds silly, but because I watch the videos and basically the seasons are roughly comparable, it's such a surprise to see that even now you seem to still be in the middle of winter. Thank God for the Gulf Stream I suppose. It always strikes me, especially when I see the place names, the first settlers from England must have thought they had ended up somewhere where winter never ends. Kind of like Narnia.
I’m a few hours south of where he was and my lawn is turning green. The last snow melted a couple weeks ago. It did snow and sleet that day, but it didn’t accumulate.
I love all the places that you go to. I especially love when you go into the forests and wooded areas. I love hiking and exploring through forests. Thank you Post. I enjoyed this video sooooo much.😊🤪🙃
I get way too excited when you post videos.😂 You're so blessed living in such a beautiful place. Thank you for taking us on your adventures , I love watching and listening, your voice is so soothing and the scenery is awesome. Keep safe and warm.🇬🇧👍
I've never tried snowmobiling in my life but I am interested in doing it. Most places I've looked into charge at least $300 a day so I have stopped before about buying one used off maybe Craigslist at a very low price to make it worthwhile. But then I need a trailer and I literally don't even have a trailer hitch. Maybe I'll try it someday just for a day and I'll make cool videos of that
Not sure if you are aware of tires that have The 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake Symbol (3PMS for short) is a six-pointed snowflake inside a three-peak mountain, found on tires that meet specific standards. They can be on all season or all terrain tires, but give you better winter performance.
Awesome video! Thank you for taking us thru the snow covered roads with you! You did a great job with this video and explaining things in such a casual manner. You’d make a great instructor!
Thanx for sharing your journey, Post. Nice to feel the cold in your video 😃. At the moment here on this 3rd Sunday in the evening of April, it’s 27.5 degrees Celsius (but feels like 30 degrees Celsius) with a humidity of 82%. Thanx to air ons, it makes the day bearable. Safe travels 🌞👍🏾
This California Girl doesn't see much snow. I love driving in it. Not that I get to very often.... but I've done it in small cars and driving an F-310, towing a 39' fifth wheel. Maybe one day I'll get to Maine....
That's very beautiful to look at. I bet that snow singing as you drove over it was pretty loud. You make me want to drive up north a bit and see it in person despite only living on the east coast for about 2.5 years
A really pretty scenery in these woods. Trees look so nice. No culverts to unclog Postie. Neat seeing the .ooze tracks. Would have liked to have seen it. Much fun and more fun. You guys take care.
Post, @22:15 mark... Is that a white bucket mostly under water there by the culvert?! That could cause a serious blockage during spring thaw if it gets to the pipe opening.
Haha I live up in Aroostook County and I think it's amazing that you come way up here to clear up culverts as well!!! If you ever want a free meal up here, let me know 😂
I've been going to ask you about something Post 10. I'm curious if you have ever seen anything on your journeys that would be hard to explain. If you have, would you do a video telling the story of what your encounter was like???
Driving in the snow is fun, as long as there are no other cars around. We had snow last day, but is already thawing. It's 10°C again. So we had snow for a day or two this year.
What does it mean freezing rain? How big is a moose will it charge at you if it sees you in the daytime? Do beavers have to come out of water for air or they can stand the water all winter? Is it the middle of the night when you're driving or is it daytime it's so dark? It's like nobody else lives on your planet other than those few trucks that passed you. I live in Southern California I've never seen that much driving without passing other car in my life
It's normal rain but when it touches a surface below freezing it freezes on contact making a shell and slippery surface. Beavers have lungs they have to come out of the water. Moose are unlikely to attack but it's possible
No more making ice houses for you😂😂 well till next year. Thanks so much for making the videos, I just wouldn't have it in me to do it if we had anything half as cool here in Ireland 🇮🇪
No I'm not concerned, I have encountered moose and swamps who have given me threatening poses but that was the most just walked the other way. No I don't have my vehicle inspected often because of the bumpy roads. There are certain things I can check myself but if you're asking if I'm worried about breaking down in a place like this not really because eventually somebody will come and I got my insurance company to sign something saying they'll tow me out of a place like this at no extra cost with my Roadside Assistance Plan as long as the road has a name on Google Maps
have you ever encounteded any dangerous wild animals when you are out so far from civilization? maybe more so now in spring with bears or wild cats ? not sure if there are in your area
I have no idea how you navigate these unmapped lumber roads. I am assuming it’s from years of driving around getting lost finding your way out remembering where you’re going. A lot of trial and error?
you are brave to go drive around out there, what if you get stuck? I hope you bring along a heating source, enough food and water to last and have a GPS locating device. And watch out for Bigfoot. But you already have the best defense against a Bigfoot, a video camera.
This was filmed on the last day of winter and first day of spring. Thanks for watching
Up here in the Ottawa valley in Canada there is very little snow.
🤔 - Huh, that's cool! (Snow joke/pun)

What a pretty trip! One last glimpse of winter before the spring comes. Thank you so much Post, for letting us share in your adventures.
I love going on these adventures with all of you . So relaxing for us most of the time.
That's some serious deep woods you drove through, you definitely know where all the hidden gem of nature is. Great exploring 😎👍

Sigh, the sound of silence, appreciate listening to the silence seeing as I live in a city 🏙, thanks as always for taking us with you 👍
Thanks for bringing snow experiences to us in Southern California.
Agree. We could use this snow in Sierras plus SoCal is expecting a heat wave next week that I’m not looking forward to.

After going off-roading in mud, I have never found a car wash that's able to get it off so I just do it myself. It's caked-on underneath so much

Do you have to have your vehicle checked often since you drive on these rough roads. Aren't you concerned about Angry Moose or Bears in early Spring?

I'm trying Nokian tires for the first time. My last tires were Hankook and I will never use them again I got the most Flats out of any Tire I've had

Why are the rivers so dirty out there
Rotting wood turns it yellow and brown
