He is repeating himself the same way other players that he criticized did. Nonetheless, that doesn't cancel the fact that he really puts a lot of emotion into his playing whether you like it or not. The studio version of this solo doesn't have funny faces, nor "out of tune bends", and you can feel it's pure emotion. Again, whether you like it or not. It's also kind of cringe the "I'm into superior things than the pentatonic" as well, kind of boring snobbery crap repeated all over the internet.
