Instead of making the superjump super weak, you should base it on how much speed Peppino has. Mach 1: weak Mach 2: medium Mach 3: strong Mach 4: infinite
would've actually loved this mechanic in the final game, with slight adjustments. Mach 1: About double the normal jump height Mach 2: About triple the normal jump height Mach 3: Infinite Mach 4: Infinite, but you go up faster. Also I think if this mechanic made it into the final game, instead of just having an infinite superjump anywhere as long as you have Mach 3+, I think you should only be able to cancel a superjump at Mach 3, because mach 1+2 wouldn't have enough height for a superjump cancel to be nessecary, but Mach 4 would have a faster superjump, for the cost of lacking a cancel.
When PTG uploads, I come running like an Italian guy to a pizza lovers' convention. Oh man, sounds like the forest will have a beautiful art style. Although I saw the stream, and several of the level being made, I'm a big fan of the idea of some levels taking on a nonlinear structure with different paths leading to each Toppin. I think pizza coins should have more uses like keeping the unused ones after beating the level and saving them to buy things like the cowboy hat in some kind of shop

Superjump has been nerfed hard. We had a big discussion about it on the discord for like 2 days, but in short it makes it really hard to design the level with it in mind, mostly when theres vertical platforming section since you could basically fly. To compromise the nerf, I changed it so you can do the jump anytime, and it also has a "drill" property where you keep going up if you hit an enemy or destroy blocks.

I'm looking forward to this! I like how the shinespark was changed, and I'm glad to see more diversity in level indentity! I also hope to see more cameos! I'm really glad that you're consistently working on the game (unlike a certain other dev), I know game development is really taxing! That being said, I'm not a big fan of some of the decisions being made here, like the fact that enemies stay alive after hitting them with certain attacks, and combos now increment when enemies hit the ground instead of when you hit them. (This sounds minor but it really isn't.) They move pizza tower away from the combo-based action that made me love pizza tower in the first place. Overall, though, I like what I see, and cant wait for more. Good luck! *gd logo emote*
Also to note, the enemies spinning out will happen when you do a normal attack, otherwise they will instantly die like before if you rush at them at Mach 3 or body slam them from high enough. I just didnt touch this stuff at all while designing the levels!
Will the game have a defined story (dialogue, cutscenes, etc.), or will it be more like older games which have simple premises (classic Mario and Sonic)?
So are some of the older levels like the Factory and Mansion going to be tweaked to work with the altered mechanics, or have they been completely scrapped at this point and have to be completely reworked?
in the sage demo if you look into the rooms with a data.win viewer you can see that mansion has been reworked to have an outside and have pepperman chase you, i dont think that's final but yeah he has been working on the mansion level way before the first thing of the week
@Kokoroko it’s really janky. Besides the jet pack is already cool enough to make him an original character and not a pepino clone. Like I said it would be cooler to use as a ground pound

And my thought-up bonus content for My thought-up Custom SAGE 2020 Demo of Pizza Tower would include the Main Characters of Steven Universe(Steven,Connie,Amethyst,Pearl,Garnet,& Spinel). Oh,If you don't know Steven Universe,look it up on Google or something! You might be interested in it,probably.

Dont worry this is just some unfixed bugs, most enemies will only take one hit to kill and the combo system will account for when you hit them.
