What cable did you buy? Can you do raw 6k prores with it? even with the adapter?
Just buy a high capacity one, any from major brands works well.
Does the s5 or s5ii record directly to ninja via the HDMI without a sd card or after your sd card is full. For example so I have to have SD cards the same size as the external ninja hard drive ?
No, or you record in to the SD or in the Ninja, you can record in both, but then you will have to make sure that it is a clean feed, and trigger them both separately
Hello Sam. Thank you for the video, was a great help for me. I have one question, i see on your (ninja) screen you have the horizon level. Now whatever i try i cant get that? It is on the camera but not on the ninja? I have the red square when recording but not the leveler, and that one is important to me. Could you tell me how you got it on the ninja?

To access it you need to click the back button and you can turn it off and on, and to have it on the screen, you have to turn on in the setting the HDMI display info, but that means you can't record externally because the info will show. The Ninja don't have any tool to keep the camera leved except for the grid :)

Not sure!? I just got the Ninja V and I trying to figure it out. The videos are all cropped and I don’t know how to get rid of it

Is it that maybe the punch in setting is on, in the Ninja V?
Or the APC mode is on, in the camera?

So that means I can record tutorials on camera menus by recording the video on sd card ?
Nope, you can record the manus only by using the Ninja V, because you can't access the menu if your recording in the camera

Hi there. I'm curious to know if you share this experience with the S5 and Ninja V....but if I record 10bit 4:2:2 in 50p on the Ninja V (regular prores not raw), the files look worse than if I record internally at 4:2:0. I get a lot of green and purple blotches and banding when shooting a plain surface like a white wall. This does not happen at 25p, only 50p, and only when recording externally to ProRes on the Ninja V. The problem does not occur in ProRes raw. Curious to know if it's the same for you.

hey, i just got an s5 and i would love to record in 5.9k but i use davinci resolve on the pc , and resolve cant use prores raw - are there other options to record 5.9k that isnt prores raw?
Hey my next video that I'm doing will be really useful to you. Yes, that is the best thing about the Panasonic cameras, the can do Braw (Blackmagic video assist line up) and Prores Raw (ninja V line up).
So yes, you need a blackmagic video assist

@njay2752 hello, the Ninja V, does not modify your shooting modes, it just give you more shooting codex options, so to come back to your question, no it doesn't :)
