I've had vocal and physical tics my whole life. Since I was a child of the 50's and 60's, no one knew what was wrong with me. One teacher told my mother I had St. Vita's Dance. I am in my late 60's now and survived childhood. I am in outside sales, I've been a top 40's musician, and most people don't know I have it because I manage it with Clonidine, Celexa and Neurontin. Both my husbands don't care I have TS+, and none of my past lovers cared either.
Was very interesting hearing Scott's perspective on it. Also, it's amazing to see how much you've grown in talking about Tourettes. Also, you sure have one amazing husband haha!
Scott is very calm. You guys fit. A personal question. Since tics are more involuntary than voluntary, and some TS sufferers find relief from tics by swimming, music, singing, drawing, etc., do tics happen during intimacy? Using the restroom? If that’s too much to reveal, just reply ‘nunya’, and I’ll understand. ☮️🙏
He is definitely a calm person, he's very sweet and patient and I think that is why he is such a good fit for me because I am not always calm! LOL. And his patience has really had such a positive impact on the TS factor of our relationship. I'm so thankful for him. As far as intimacy and using the restroom goes, I won't go into detail or make a video about it, but I have never had it interfere with any of those things. :)
Yall are such a beautiful couple! And its so sweet to see the love you have for each other. My husband has only known for a few years that i have tourettes because i never told him, and I was always able to suppress my tics when he was around, up until a few years ago when he heard me start squeaking for no reason hahaha! We have been married for 9 years, and I think that not telling him upfront somehow worked out fine for us specifically, but I do think that if I could go back, I would tell him in the beginning so it didn't feel like I was trying to hide something. You are a strong woman, Britney! I wish I could get to the point where I felt as confident in my own skin as you seem to feel. Once again, great video! And if I didn't live in south Louisiana, I would totally come to the 5k! Yall are both amazing people, and have fun this weekend!
oh my gosh, thank you so much for the kind words and taking the time to watch the video! It means so much! I am so happy to hear that your husband now knows and is good with it all! It's a different experience for all of that and it includes how open we want or feel comfortable to be. I think it has helped me throughout the years, but everyone is different. It was brought up in your relationship when the time was right and just how it was supposed to happen! And you are strong too! I'm no different than anyone else, I just like talking about it and letting people know what it's really like. But again, thank you so much!!
After watching your video, I want to hug you and tell you everything will be okay. You are beautiful and a very courageous woman. It was the pink elephant in the room in my family while I was growing up. And my hubby also expressed the same sentiments about living with someone with TS as your hubby.

Thank you so much! He's the best thing that has ever happened to me that's for sure. I thank God for him every day.
Do you experience pain due to your eye tics ?
Such a great love. Are you planning for kids?
