- I've thought about starting a new series on my channel where I show you guys what I do to make a custom piece for someone! I made some Rainbow Geode Coasters for this one and... I'm literally obsessed.

I love how the coasters turned out. Im pretty big in resin myself. I just wanted to share something i learned bout adding glitter... After you mix your resin (i know we can't standing waiting to play with it) but if you wait about 30 minutes then pour in glitter it wont sink to the bottom. The consistency will be thick enough for glitter to stay through out the resin n no the resin won't be set. It will still be manageable. If you wait closer to an hour it will start to set so try set a timer. Hope that helps anyone who cares enough to read :-)
Yours Truly they’d be perfect if the glitter didn’t pool at one side.
@@FukaiKokoro yeah that why i offered information how to do it without letting the glitter hit the bottom. Some people like to be able to flip them over n have 2 options on each side. Me personally, i love seeing the glitter float because i feel it gives it a new dimension.

@Chloe Ramer i believe word of mouth is everything so be good to your customers n they'll likely come back n see what else you have an tell others how great your stuff is.

Try painting a darker/ opaque color around the edges of the geodes, kind of like the “crust” or “rocky” bit of the geode
@Crucibelle I think it would look really good if a glitter layer was put over the whole piece once the rest has cured so it all has a bit of shimmer
You should publish a book where you teach the different techniques and effects ('what technique leads to which result') and maybe step by step projects :) !!!!
What about a craft box!! If she had the time, money and energy it would be super neat to be able to buy a kit with everything we need to make a resin art project! She could even make a video on how to use the kit! I would 100% buy it!
@@JoJoB2013 isnt that normally where the glittery part is? Like if you busted it open...the glittery part is the center....right?

The green of the second set, where you poured the glitter after letting it set a bit, is my favorite! They are all gorgeous!!

I'll say it too...OBSESSED!!! lol. You've taken resin coasters and geode work to another LEVEL. I'd want both sets. The clarity and colours! (and obsessed with that glitter).
I would totally pick a whole set of the ones where you mixed all the colors in one coaster. They look like a beautiful black/purple oilslick rainbow and it's gorgeous.
I love both sets for different reasons. And I love happy accidents! So happy to see you do more commission videos too!

These are gorgeous!!!! It would be neat of there was a ring of sparkles with the clear in the middle :) I'd try it but I can't seem to make a decent set of coasters if my life depended on it. Hahaha
That would look more like a real geode. I would love to see someone attempt this
Roo Vicious yeah the design isn’t as good as it could be. It would be google with a hole in the center like natural agates have or a sparkly gemstone center. I hope she retries these for a fourth time and really tries to nail it and make it as natural and beautiful as possible. Every time she makes it they get better.
I'm going to take a crack at making geode, resin, coasters. We'll see how that goooooes....

I just love how sometimes mishaps turn it even more exciting things. like you just have to go out of your comfort zone and do something different and boy oh boy did it work out great in this case! love them both!
The coasters are lovely; I’d prefer a lighter white line-I love the bloom you had with the first set. I also love the glitter! I like the glitter pooling from the first set and I have to say, I love the wait and then do more glitter so the top gets a generous splash. Your smile is so sweet and infectious! Ty for sharing your beautiful work!

Partial to the green as it's my favorite color!!! I finally sat down and made a few pendants the other day and used some alcohol inks. What a good feeling it's been just over a year since making resin anything. Seeing your excitement brought it all back. So thank you.

I prefer the way you’ve done it with the glitter, tbh! I know real geodes have the “crust”, but these look extra celestial and I love it. Also, the glitter background really adds dimension to the coaster. It accentuates the layers more. Awesome work. 😍
Would be hilarious if whomever got them when the gift receiver watches this they say “aww should have gotten the other set!”

I am super geeked. I just ordered a starter resin kit from amazon and it should be here friday. I have watched all your videos to help prep for my first epoxy resin makin' journey! Please keep up the great work!! One of my main goals, is hopefully by October I will be able to preserver some flowers from my baby sisters wedding in resin and give it to her as a one year anniversary gift.

The first batch is very pretty but I think you rocked the second batch. Especially the blue and green one!!! I’ve wanted to get into resin art for awhile and I’ve been saving up money to buy moulds, inks, glitter, resin etc. Finally I’ve bought my first set of moulds and my second set will be the geode coasters because I’ve always wanted to make a set for myself

At 13:24, on the red/pink piece, does anyone else see how it looks like a Fairy on the left. She says "I love these little bits" and runs her finger along and it seriously looks like an image of a fairy! So cute!

Both are pretty but the 2nd ones are gorgeous.
both sets are great, but I LOVE THE FIRST SET! the colors are just so vibrant, and the white "stripe" came out differently in all of them but still looks kinda uniform and ties them all in so beautifully.
I dunno -- I love both sets, but if I had to choose just one...I'd choose the first set!
Also I have a shop and we use shopify, I think it makes sales, especially custom orders easier to fill. I don't know if that helps at all, it just seems more difficult doing that through etsy. through shopify I can make a cart and create a custom item, put a dollar amount and then email them the cart for them to enter their information and then I can go from there.

Love them both but loved the 2nd set more, but wish the white added later was a little more wispy but love both sets!
I'm not seeing the geode look, however, they are the prettiest resin pieces I've seen!!! Absolutely stunning. I'm seeing a galaxy vibe.
The white looks like a super thin linen layed into the project. It's beautiful.
The second batch is perfect. However the first batch was pretty good what i would do is put cork on the back of the first ones to hide the glitter pool because it does give the illusion of crystals tucked inside a geodes cavity. Another thing you could do is take small pieces of quarts crystal and lay it out in a shape of a ring and pour the color around it and then pour clear resin in the center, I have seen agate slices that resemble that. But either way they all looked great.

It would be cool to see like a ribbon looping around things in a resin ball shape (like its floating). In saying that dose ribbon even work in resin?

you should try putting liquid crystal (the stuff that makes a mood ring work) in resin and see if it changes colors.
Both sets are soooooo gorgeous! I really love the second set though because of the way the white plays into those gorgeous colors! But they are all just so fabulous!!

They are both beautiful, but the second set is truly awesome. The reason I say that is because the glitter sank to far down
It's funny, with most of the alcohol ink projects, I find I prefer the back to the front - certainly the case with the first set of these. These are definitely pretty, the first set is a bit too much glitter for my taste, but I'm not a huge glitter fan. I'd love to see a set that splits the difference in technique or with crystals added.

I wonder if u made molds that were thinner, and then put the rain in like u did with the different colors, but then layered two or three together in a thicker mold and poured just clear Over them, and between them to join them together, could u get a rainbow prism kinda of effect

I wasn't a huge fan of the first set just cause the glitter kept sinking to the bottom. But the second set im obsessed with! They are just omg. Great job girly and if you still have a set in your etsy I would love to buy them off you :)
