I think the lopsidedness of the bowl makes it look more like a flower. Love it. Honestly want one.
I think the fact that the flower is not perfect adds to the real life look of it anyhow. The fact the tips are somewhat bent etc. Makes it look more realistic too. I appreciate your channel and you showing us how this mold turned out too. Thanks so much.
That lopsided bowl would be awesome sitting in the mulch of a flower bed filled with black oil sunflower seeds for the birds! Dont let the lopsiddedness of it bug you!

I think my favorite is the bowl, even the way some of the petals folded over. That looks natural! If you don't want them to drop down, after you wrap it and put it between the bowls to shape, turn the entire thing upside down.

Love the black-backed one! I think the curled ends of the bowl petals make the flower look much more life-like. 😊

I think the bowl looks great and the fact it's not "perfect" gives it more. Your not a machine, "perfect" pieces don't exist and that's why ppl love artisan crafts. It's the imperfections that makes a piece unique

I love the sunflower bowl the most because even though you say it’s lop-sided and petal tips are bent I believe that’s what gives it character and almost like more natural! ❤️❤️❤️
I Love them all!!!! Remember that in nature no flower is perfect. And the way the tips fold over on the Bowl make it more real. Like you actually used a flower. That 1 is my total Fav. Mental note to self..... you can take a thicker cork and hand shave it to the correct angle to stabilize it. And it gives it a more finished look. Totally Love your Channel.

I love the bowl. It would be amazing for a kids fairy garden. Especially if you did the flower the other way so that the petals drop down then it becomes a stool /cake plate kind of idea for fairies. Sorry my aunt is having a baby and my grandmother and I have been talking fairy

Pretty ArtsyLady, Don't be so hard on yourself. Your resin work to me is awesome and beautiful. Real flowers are not perfect. Your resin sunflowers are all different and made kinda the same way and all are beautiful and not perfect but in their own way they are. You do great work. I love your flowers you made. You are adorable and sweet and a good artist. 💜🌹🌻🌼🌸

Oo, if you combined the colors of the second flower and the bowl shape of the 4th, I bet that would look stunning. Maybe break it up into different layers so the backside/outside could have a different look? Not sure if multiple layers would work for making bowls, but it would be cool if it did. If not, maybe just the edges could have that stained glass look? Since they’d be raised up in the bowl shape, they’d catch light better.

I love them all! The color shifting with the black looks super cool! The bowl looks awesome too. They all look so nice it is hard to pick a favorite. Also I was telling my fabulous gardener/ florist neighbor about last weeks project with your gorgeous peony and how excited I was you replied to me. Last night he brought me over the most beautiful white peony from his garden. If I could post a pic here I would show you. I agree with the other comments on here your eyeshadow is freaking amazing. You should also do makeup videos if you don't already! And I am loving your hair color!

oh wow! that first one would look so nice as a wall clock!
Yes, I'd use a slower setting resin. It will give you time to pour it and then transfer the sunflower to whatever you're shaping it on. I'd also try laying it over something and let gravity help you some. The slower resin won't heat up as fast either, which should prevent what happened with the first one you made. Good luck. They are all very cool looking.

I think putting it inside a glass bowl might make it better and the weighted it down more in the middle with a sealed container of water

If you use a bigger, shallower bowl to form your bowl it’s easier to control also use a weight inside the top bowl to hold it down. Hope that helps.
Just started pressing flowers and watching resin diy’s about a month ago. Thought I was figuring everything out until I came across this 😂👏🏻 Holy cow! I have sooo much to learn. That flower in the thumbnail looks so real! Here I am over here trying to paint my sunflowers

Actually love the lopsided-ness of the sunflower bowl, it adds to the charm and sort of makes it feel more organic, like a sunflower that curled up into a bowl shape. It’s a really lovely piece! Great job for the first try!!
I like all of them. The one with black back ground is my fave. I wonder how pretty it would be to make a traditional Sunflower wall hanging with tones of yellow petals, chocolate brown center & a wall hanging hook?
