Man: "But Frédéric, did you really have to shoot Mr. Plat?" Chopin, puts the gun down, levels his gaze at the man, places his hands on the man's shoulders: "Somebody had to." He walks out.
I love PYP's jazzifications on classical music! Another great pianist who did this was Eugen Cicero. Sheet music trivia (first to answer correctly gets sheet music): how old was Chopin when he composed this tune?
25 since this was composed in 1835. Also if i remember correctly, it was published after his death, against his will. How ironic we shouldn't have heard of one of his most famous piece.
Those swinging eighths notes are so awesome to hear, but it must have been hell-to-pay to play. As for me, such level of jazz mastery fills me with respect, and reminds how much I've still to learn (I'm fresh of having recorded by far the most technically - demanding piece I've played, and let me tell you, after I finished recording today I got flooded with the good ol' adrenaline, but, at the same time, your upload had brought me back to Earth, in terms of how much is yet to come). Thank you.
I love pierre, I dont see many piansts play how he plays!! I used to sorta play piano in his style and he rlly makes me wanna play again !! Hopefully one day I will lol
@@garklein8089 I feel bad for making comments like this because his transcribing skills are so insanely ahead of mine its not even funny, but it niggles me when I hear something different lol Sat at the piano now there's defo an A# in that chord
I don't know if I should like it or not. It is kind of weird. Just when the most beautiful part of the Chopin peace would start, this jazz part kicks in. I don't know. Maybe I got stuck to the original too much. No, actually I think I don't like it.
You transposed it fine but ngl don’t really like the performance. Classical section isn’t smooth at all and jazz section feels rushed and not fully practiced
Let THIS be a lesson to all the classical sheet music robots so hailed & marketed by record companies, hiding their tragedy that they can't hack it in the realm of real = ad-lib music. Thanks to all three of U, Chopin, Pierre-Yves, Timothy!!! 💪🌹🌺🐞

Cicero was great. Another pianist still jazzifying Bach and Chopin today is Matt Herskowitz - do check him out!
It's 23, right? :)

PYP and Timothy Gondola are my favorite artists I've discovered this year
Crazy stuff. Marvelous work Timothy!
I prefer this Jazz version to the original Fantaisie Impromptu. It's more exciting to play. Thank you for the transcription!
Needed emergency surgery on all ten fingers immediately after playing this piece
I can’t understand that you have only few subscribers. 👏🏻
I just saw your comment on another video saying you were working on this and literally 20 seconds later you post this ahaha
Imagine being the guy that hears this and thinks "Yeah I could transcribe that"
bru..this is insane.
Oh.. so good!!👍👍
So good!
Brilliante
Nice work!
GODS WORK
Amazing 🤩!

I cannot help but notice that Chopin's name does not appear in the title: Did he ask to have it removed? 🎹 😱 🎹 - j q t -
OMG, how can you do such an amazing song 👏👏🌹🌹

Im not at the piano but this doesn't sound like a regular minor chord to me . Are you sure it's not minor 6 or something? Sorry to be pedantic
sounds like a minor 6 to me too

There is a way better recording of this! The one wear he is wearing suspenders

This is a terrible recording, rushed and full of mistakes
🤣🤣🤣👌👌👌
More sounds like a Russian or Balkan dance, than Jazz.....
...😢

thats true the jumps aren't very smooth. Maybe he played it cold which doesn't make sense

Great talent but a disgusting rendition. Chopin would turn in his grave!
I totally agree
How could you say both great talent and disgusting rendition
I agree too. This rendition is fast but nothing.
