Happy to see you playing through the Ironheart. Those amps are awesome, underrated and relatively inexpensive. The dynamics knob makes pick shredding so easy. lIt's like a cheat knob.
Hey Alex just wanted to tell you that you were freaking awesome in Mexico city. You really killed it both nights with your attitude and skills! Muchas Gracias! :)
Congrats on the SW gig. Caught you at the Royal Albert Hall on the last night and your playing as always, was sublime. Good luck and thanks for all the great music.
Great setup, superb playing. I was at the Birmingham show this year and your guitar sounded excellent from where I was sitting! Thanks for sharing, man 👍
@@AlexHutchingsMusic sir It's an honour for Northeast India to have you and yeah! All the musicians are excited to see you live ...no doubt sir Alex is world top class guitar player ...
I would actually very much like an in-depth "That Pedal Show" style description of all of the details of this rig. I understand the main points, but a properly pedagogical video would help demonstrate how to access the powerful capabilities of the ES-8 switching system, and for a board with more pedals than the ES-8 has inputs.
So question, what is the "Custom Pedal (can't make out)" thingy shown at 1:18? I've never seen something like that on a board, and I'm very interested to know what that is.
He does play in 4ths tuning, BUT he has an extra fret for both of the higher string which extends onto the headstock and beyond the standard nut. So technically looking down each fret, the strings do play like they're in all 4ths, but the open strings ringing out are in standard EADGbe. It's really weird but an ingenious way to incorporate the open strings (since a lot of Steven's material obviously needs open strings). Alex has a video explaining this tuning on his channel.
Hey Mate, I did love that thing but of course as the world moves forward we adapt and change. I've not used it for a few years now but for the time it was an incredible piece of kit and in fact still is in many ways.
Do you play in fourths tuning Alex? I know you usually play in fourths tuning, but there’s quite a lot of SW stuff I would assume is impossible to play in that tuning, like those arpeggios in ancestral. Just curious!
Why using this Boss Stuff Alex? You could get much more and better Sound with Quality gear tone ... just have a look on Daniel The Gig Rig And Andy timmons!!
Alex is one of THE most underrated players out there. Great player!
Not by anyone who's seen him live! He was fantastic on the recent Steven Wilson tour.
Actually that's how I got into Guthrie and Dave Kilminster as well. Steven Wilson always works with talent.
Good to see him getting the Steven Wilson gig

Thanks Alex. You are such a talented player. Tasteful in everything you play. I hope to get to see you next time you are Florida.

its great to see you with group and making music. Your playing is magical.
Amazing player, and amazing show!! I watched the show in Rome! You are great guys!!!
Saw you in snowy Asheville. Awesome performance and highly recommended. You did an excellent job and I thank you!
Thank you, Alex! I got to see you with Steven in Milwaukee, WI USA. What a great show! I’d love to see the long version of this video.
Congrats on the SW gig. Caught you at the Royal Albert Hall on the last night and your playing as always, was sublime. Good luck and thanks for all the great music.

Hurrah for being in Denmark. How the hell this I miss this show? I hope to hear you play next time you are in Denmark!
Fuck me, the taste in tone is unbelievable!!! I would expect nothing less for You Sir Alex. You are amazing.
00:35 top left WTF
It's Craig Bundel (the drummer of the band) I follow him on Instagram and he always do those kind of weird funny stuffs haha
Permanating dance rehearsal.
Hi Alex, how are You? Great sound, great effects but you make the difference. You are great

Great video, and nice video bomb near the beginning 😂
I`ll see all this on Sunday!
Saw Alex with SW last month. He was great!
Thanks my favourite guitarist
0:37 Que dança é essa !! Kkkk. Que set up maravilhoso !!

Great player-great tone!
Thank you Mate, All the very best 👍🎸
@@AlexHutchingsMusic I wish you all the best too! Long live Maestro!
@@myguitarcloud5987 THank you mate. 🙏
Fastest click of the day. Found a picture of your board somewhere on Instagram, but been hoping for a proper rig tour :)
You got some brilliant tone man!
Will you solo over Regret #9 or Ancestral?
Daniel Chong he did both ;)
Great player! Good bloke!
Are you playing in pure 4th with you play with Wilson?
Anyone know if Alex stayed in fourths tuning for the Steven Wilson gig? Saw him on this tour in Glasgow & he was awesome.

@@tarkenton3895 Cheers mate - that's an inventive solution.
Sonzera do carai !
Te vejo domingão, dia 27/05/2018, no show em são paulo meu caro !
Great sound and playing master Alex! Why did you change the plectrum? Another green ones? It's right? :)
Hi Alex. No more Axis guitars? How does this custom guitar differ from your Axis guitars?
I thought 'Chorus' pedals annoy S.Wilson
Different album, different approach.
Awesome man!!!!
Hey Alex, how long will you be on tour and will you be coming to Hawai'i by chance?
Mochi
congratulations Alex
Great Sound Master Alex! Which Kind of pick you use? Dunlop?
So Alex...do you still use your vb99 or is it consigned to the land of forgotten Roland tech?

thanks! Es-8 kick ass, I use it a lot! Love it!
My idol
Waghorn guitar new model ?
Sweet dance moves by (I think) Craig Blundell.
AMAZING
What? No Waza amps?
Very good...
0:39 I was distracted by that man at the back.
Oh yeah, rig Rundown :)
Pedal board envy!!!!!
Craig dancing in the background xD
I met you ❤
Great player-not keen on his sound, did not cut through the mix when I saw them at Newcastle.
Very sad to say, so was his guitar sound in Vienna just yesterday - barely audible and muddy.
Why using this Boss Stuff Alex? You could get much more and better Sound with Quality gear tone ... just have a look on Daniel The Gig Rig And Andy timmons!!
I love Steven Wilson and Alex is a superb player but this sound is not good enough imo
Not so much a gear run down as an advert for Boss. Hey ho, still a great guitar player.
Craig in the background lmfao.....
Come on man, what about your Guitar? Such a rush... No vintage Boss effects? Sounds a bit sterile to me compared to the rigs of Govan and Kilminster.
Grate player without good tone
