I never heard of Steven until a friend played some of his music for me. Why isn't he HUGE? why do we have idiots like CardiB and other fools in America but we don't eer hear any music from Steven. This is brilliant work and so powerful. I just don't get it.
🤫 Shh…Steven is our little secret (which I think is kind of cool). Why haven’t people heard of him? Many people are musically lazy and just don’t have an appreciation for the songwriting and structure of his music. They don’t have the patience for songs that can be 6-10 min long and limits his airplay and exposure on most radio which caters to short attention spans.
But it’s all good. The sheep can continue listening to CardiB, Taylor, or whoever the flavor of the month is. They can listen to Freebird, Benny and the Jets and Hotel California for the zillionth time but we have Steven for quality musicianship that I never get bored with.
@@terrencekanzig4270 LOL, I'll try to keep the secret, but everyone that hears us play his music in our car/home immediately asks who it is. American music is such an embarrassment at this point. Just auto-tuned, gibberish. Nobody can play actual instruments any longer, except for a strum of chords. The lyrics are dismal as well. I honestly wish we'd have never fought our revolution and would have just been under the crown, but that's just me. All of the men in my family, fought in wars and served in the US military and they'd roll in their graves if they saw the current state of things in America. Chinese run, graft, corruption, greed, base behavior etc....I'll just go away now and not be a little black raincloud (and listen to some Steven)
@@alisonb9963My best advice is not to worry about the state of popular music today. We can all agree it’s mostly crud. There is some great music out there it’s just not mainstream and doesn’t get the attention it deserves but it’s out there.
If you’re new to S/W and like his music, welcome. You have an amazing musical journey ahead. There isn’t much of his music that I don’t like and then you have Porcupine Tree to discover as well. I’ve been listening to him/them for almost twenty years now and it’s kind of strange to say but it’s about all I listen to. There’s enough music out there, especially with P/T’s early music that I just never get bored with it.
One of the best tracks SW has ever composed as a solo artist!
Steven Wilson's got such an amazing showmanship that doesn't ever seem like he's trying too hard.
that just it,,,,, hes not trying hard.... and thats part of what is absolutely amazing about him.... he just ooozes talent :)
seein nick beggs plays with a pick is something awesome for me :D
Nick Beggs is so awesome on this song. Don't know who the keyboardist is but his parts are absolutely beautiful. One of my most favorite Steven Wilson songs
Adam Holzman is the keyboard player, a regular in Steven's touring line-up, he is brilliant!
Keyboards by Adam Holzman. Just look at his wikipedia page, The guy has an incredible resume. Steven knows how to pick them for his band.
i love that sigh in the end!
8:29 this is the best part 🔥
תודה אלי :)
Excellent song that 4 1/2 starts with....Yes meets The Beatles and morphs into SW!!! ::::::::::::::
Good call.
Don't forget Pink Floyd in that mix
@@felipef.p3047 of course you're right...
Cant thank you enough for uploading this !! Much love my Brother !!
Love you back!
Keep on Rocking.
excited to watch in October. let's rock the sydney!
Full satisfaction is guaranteed!
One of my favourite. Was it good on gig? Greatings to down under from Germany! What temperature are you have actoually?
Ayy Craig with the Zelda shirt.
Where is Guthrie?
He and Marco left the band... And I guess definitely ;/
Guthrie and Marco left over two yeas ago, a couple of months into the first Hand. Cannot. Erase. tour; The Aristocrats, their trio with Bryan Beller, had a conflicting tour already scheduled. So Steven hired Craig Blundell (drums for Frost*, among others) and Dave Kilminster (from Roger Waters's band), both of whom stayed with SW through the end of the HCE tours late last year.
Had to get away from all that Permanating hate. I swear, the whole atmosphere surrounding Steven Wilson fans is so hostile now.
Permanating might be the most over-hated song I've ever seen lmao, it's not my favorite ever, but people make way too big of a deal out of it being "poppy"
Permanating is a good song... It's pop, but it's classic pop. Not over-processed modern pop...❤
Permenating is a great pop song. I love the joy in it
Dude 4:50 is definitely rush influenced !!!
Tiamo
I don't enjoy Craig's playing as much as Marco, don't get me wrong, yes, he got the skill but it just the fill , it's a bit disruptive, lack of flow n feel.
They need Gavin in there
bof ! moins convainquant que Blackfield. ....
