Uma coisa que eu acrescentaria como dica é: Se vc não conhece o Brasil, e veio achando que vai passear entre os bairros sozinho, ou com ajuda de um GPS, desista. Saia com um guia turístico, ou vá com amigos brasileiros. Não confie em GPS para te levar a lugares que vc não conhece no Brasil, especialmente aqui no Rio de Janeiro ou São Paulo.

Bem o avião do Brasileiro, não era um planador arremessado por uma catapulta, ele usava um motor. E confundir a capital do Brasil para Rio de Janeiro ou São Paulo, é como dizer que a Capital dos Estados Unidos da America é Las Vegas ou Nova York, só por serem grandes cidades.
Na vdd não é exatamente por serem grandes cidades, mas talvez seja pq já foram historicamente a capital do Brasi.

To add some for what u guys were talking about Brasilia, It was designed by Oscar niemeyer, Its one of the few cities(compared to the whole number we have) that were projected and designed before built. And it was built far from the beach because the "war" fear, so we would have more air space to attack something going in that direction, so its kinda in the "middle" of Brazil. And previous it was Rio de Janeiro then changed to there, and there basically is a Political City, there's others stuff too obviously but for brazilians we see it as the City where all the Politicians live or pass most of the time due to work.
A lot of Brazillian love futebol, samba and carnaval yes, but the wrong part it's you assume ALL brazillians like this. It's like you say all south-koreans like kpop or all japanese watch anime 24/7

4:00 the "basic vocabulary" of portuguese and spanish are very similar, but still there is a lot of difference, i would say that the two languages have between 30% and 40% of similarity
Fun fact: Although Brazil and Portugal have the same language, the accent is very different, when I hear someone speaking Portuguese from Portugal it takes me a few seconds to realize that it is Portuguese 😂

About football, carnaval and samba… leave a room for Brazilian wax lol… we have great music, MPB 😄 our technology is great also, Embraer is one of the biggest aircraft factory… Amazon forest is amazing, the biggest part of it is in Brazil. We do have monkeys on the streets, really tiny ones called “mico”. We have the most famous flip-flop “havaianas”. Great international actors like Rodrigo Santoro, Wagner Moura, Morena Baccarin… oh, recently he have a comedian Rafinha Bastos doing a few standup shows (in English) in US.

We like make friends and we can tell when someone are being respectful. If you treat people with respect we're very flexible and teach anything you may not know about Brazil and our culture, all you have to do is not be attached at stereotypes about Brazil and Brazilians.

Yes, it have a portion of true, but as a diverse country there are many people who don't like Samba or will even get angry with these stereotypes. I really hate samba and carnival for example, but I'm neutral about soccer.
I mean, think of it like saying US it's only guns, burgers and extra large things. Probably nobody likes stereotypes at all, but they kinda have some true in it.
Honestly don't take this video too serious, we aren't that bad to censorship anyone who tells something about Brazil. But may be good to know that in some environments like in a soccer stadium for example, things can easily go terribly wrong just by having the wrong color t-shirt on.

10:30 most people think that rio is the capital because its the most famous city, but rio was actually the capital of brazil before brasilia so it makes sense to be the most famous city, and sao paulo is something close to new york, its the most populational city and the biggest economy of the country, thats why they are famous. brasilia is a city that was BUILT to be the new capital in 1956, and there is where the main government bodies are but its just it, nothing compared to rio and sao paulo wich are the bests citties to visit if you are a foreigner

And in general sort of way we wil try to communicate to anyone who speaks spanish, italian, or any other language (latin based or not). You see, we don't lack of education like this brazilian girl makes it seem, and certainly this don't annoy us. Second, the burlesque patriotism... Fellows, good public administration and bad public administration do exist everywhere, so let's keep our brain working cause the outside criticism and the self-criticism are absolutely necessary to progress. About airplane invention, well... A lot of people worked on that invention and a lot succeed by a few meters or a hundred. But i think it's more impotant to see who keeps a better aviation support system, and Brazil is far behind the schedule (ow, here I'm criticizing my country). About Brazil District Capital... Let's face it! Anyone who is not native to that country certainly will not know about other countries capitals (taking apart some famous ones like Paris, London, Rome, Moscow, Berlim, etc...) unless you study about it! And Brazil is not some high in projection country to be that known. About stereotypes... It's the same with any other country! When you mention a "texan" it's hard not imagine a man with cowboy hat holding his leather belt spiting at sidewalk, even if he's trully a polite scientist or an engineer chammpion of chess (like the character Sheldon from Big Bang THeory). And of course, you can ask anyone if he knows dance, play soccer or fight jiu-jitsu, in the same way you ask this to anyone in our own country! And probably in both cases you will received the same percentage of positive response (0,1% LOL). But this certainly don't "annoy" us! Pele vs Maradona are just one of several jokes between us and our neighbor. And of course you may choose any favourite including, Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic, or whaterver. The great Pele merit is that in his time he was maybe the "main" Brazil propagandist, when nobody knows nothing about us. And about the loss to Germany we pulled jokes evertime about ourselves about it! Germany is a great soccer country just like us or Argentina and Italia too! And each game have its history! But got mad about it? The chances to you to find some fan that nearsighted is pretty slim! Usually people troll about it in web, but it just laugh you know. Stamp the cars doors annoys any car owner. It's really just in Brazil? I don't know but here cr maintenance are really expensive. And no, it's not lack of education to compliment at arrive or leaving...
