- Welcome back to my channel! In this video, I show you how to make a fully lined zipper pouch. I made about a dozen of these as gifts this Christmas. They are very practical and you can customize the pouch by changing the size of the pieces.
To make one zipper pouch, you'll need:
2 pieces of vinyl 10" wide by 4" high
2 pieces of quilting cotton 10" wide by 5" high
2 pieces of quilting cotton 2" x 1.5" (for the zipper ends)
2 pieces of fusible fleece 10" wide by 8.5" high
2 pieces of quilting cotton 10" wide by 8.5" high (for the lining)
1 9" zipper
A walking foot for your sewing machine (if you have one)

You are most welcome! Thank you for visiting! :-)
That was great, Izzy! I know your recipients will be happy with their gifts. 😊
Thank you! I hope so! :-)
Great tutorial Izzy, the only thing I do diferently is to just have one piece of vinyl, so no seam, that reduces bulk at the bottom. Would love you to do more tutorials, your a natural. 😊
Thank you so much Linda! Only using one piece is a great idea and would definitely reduce the bulk at the bottom. :-)
Beautiful pouch!! Thanks so much for sharing this with us!!!
Thank you Kris! :-)
😍😍😍I love this pouch so much, thanks for sharing it!
You are so welcome! xx
Amazing tutorial, Izzy, you have a gift for teaching! Love the project, can’t wait to try this one out! Looking forward to more tutorials from you 🥰 Happy Sewing ❤~Tiffany
Awww thank you so much Tiffany! I have plans for more of these in the new year. ;-)
Excellent tutorial. So well demonstrated. Going to make up three as Christmas gifts. Never seen with vinyl but sure with my walking foot and your tutorial it will be perfect 🇿🇦
Have fun sewing them up! You'll be fine. 💞
Izzy, thank you so much for this professional and detailed tutorial! When I saw these a few days ago I thought how cute are these! They can be so easily customized and a great use of quilting cotton scraps too.
Thank you so much Donna! Yes - you can use pretty much any fabric and really personalize them. I had a lot of fun matching the fabrics to the lady receiving the pouch. :-)
Your pouches are awesome, Izzy. I was so impressed a few days ago when you showed the eleven or twelve you made. 🥰
Thank you so much Lynn! I'm really pleased with them all and cannot wait to gift them. :-)
So cute, love this little pouch!
Thank you! 😊

Hi Izzy! I'm not feeling well so I am entertaining myself with your tutorials. You really are an excellent teacher. Each video is informative, easy to follow along, and entertaining. Your voice has changes in rhythm as well as inflection. Thank you for your hard work. Did you tell us where to get the faux leather?
Oh I’m sorry you’re not feeling well… I hope it’s nothing serious! But I’m glad I’m able to entertain you. 😊 I get all my faux leather and most of my bag supplies from Emmaline Bags which is an online shop located in Canada. The shipping is super fast and the quality is very good. 💞
I am so excited right now! I didn't realise you were doing this, thank you. Would it be ok to use something like denim for the bottom as I don't have any vinyl? I love your choice of fabrics and your family are going to be thrilled with these. ❤😊
Hi Carole! Yes, you can absolutely use denim for the bottom of the pouch. I'm so glad you liked the pouch and the tutorial! xx
