- Hi guys, my name’s Alexa Assimos, but you can call me Lexi. I have a passion for mental health and psychology and I look forward to sharing this with you all. So many of our daily struggles have a significant influence on our mental and physical health, whether we realize it or not.
My goal is to create an environment in which we can process these thoughts and learn from each other. I truly believe that self-improvement begins with self-awareness.

Great video, my wife is a counselor too. She is great but when she comes home from counseling all day she does not want to hear about my issues.
Yes, my fiancé is a doctor and he has a hard time coming home to my ailments haha! Home/work balance is tough, but it helps if we can be patient with each other. Feel free to share these videos with her, I would love to hear both of your opinions. The first episode is uploaded too! It’s on phone use and mental health.

Curious, what career are you switching to in mental health? I’m a therapist, but I’m thinking about becoming a psychologist.
@@reallifepsych3309 interesting, I'm moving from tech consulting and looking to enter grad school to become a therapist. Bit of a 180 but I do feel it's the right path for me :)

@@reallifepsych3309 closed captioning, or CC, is a function that puts an optional transcript on the screen. UA-cam has automatic closed captions, which is what ur channel currently has, but these are less accurate, less accessible, and less professional. You can pay a company to caption each video, or u can do it yourself, just google “how to properly closed caption videos” or “closed captioning services.”
I feel like this video would feel more natural without the generic stock footage in the background
