Some facts I think you should have included: 1. Vash's red coat is actually an advanced bullet-proof armor. 2. At the beginning of the Anime it isn't made very clear that the setting is supposed to be on another planet, unlike the manga that is. 3. Knives' powers in the manga consist of morphing his arms into several blades(yes, like in Terminator 2) that can cut through nearly anything, unlike in the anime where it's nearly the same as Vash's only it colored black. 4. The maximum part of Trigun Maximum is likely inspired by the Spider Man comic story arc known as Maximum Carnage. This seems likely since Carnage is another inspiration for Knives' powers in the Manga.
Maximum would look absolutely gorgeous with modern day animation. With how well B3 has done I really, really hope Trigun gets a reboot true to the Maximum story
I had the hugest crush on Vash's character design. Yes, his design. The flowing red outfit and yellow hair and glasses in contrast with the brown nothingness of the sand world was so beautiful to my young youngs. I still love the character's design to this day, in fact, I just finished rewatching it😅😅😅
I agree on design, but I also really liked the setting of the show. Clear blue sky almost every episode, straight horizon, beautiful sunset and charming little towns felt kind of romantic and nostalgic.. never mind the reference to Old West.
@@lyhniiee Yep, me and 2 of my friends watched this only because it was on Netflix, which is funny because apparently one of my friends even says it's his favorite anime. For me it's also up there for sure.
Does Cowboy Bebop count in the context of a western, though? Sure it possesses many similar qualities, but the consistency of space travel kinda makes one think. It's not too big an issue, really. Just a curious question. The anime rocks, regardless. Both of them.

I personally feel like Spike is much more badass, but Trigun is the only anime that get get me to tear up to this day. Spike has nothing on the sheer amount of shame, loss, and guilt that vash feels ALL THE TIME! The only thing I didn't like about the anime was that vash never had any happiness or pleasure. He's always hitting on random girls, but the girl that actually wants him(that on chick on the floating place) or the prostitutes don't get to be with him. As another fun tie-in to Todd McFarlane, when he drew comic issues, he hid a Felix the Cat somewhere in the issue. I had always thought Kuronekosama was a little homage to that.
Fun Fact: Toshimichi Mori, the producer of the BlazBlue series and a collaborator on a few Guilty Gear titles, has sighted Trigun as an inspiration for his work. You can clearly see some influence if you ask me.
If you like Vash's gun check out the Chiappa Rhino, the inverted barrel lessens the amount of kick back since the force is more in line with the wrist as opposed to being above it.
Another fun fact is that Alucard from Hellsing was heavily based on Vash's design that at the start Yashiro Nightow had to contact Hellsings Mangaka asking him to change the design a bit (Alucards red coat, sunglasses, and the silver gun still stuck through^^)
You should have included that vash's voice actor was the black ranger after walter Jones, the original black ranger from the very first iteration of power rangers. Nobody knew that one.

One fact you guys didn't bring up that I was very curious about: Why is Vash's hair black in some manga and art? 3. Someone should do an anime listed video of one of the most damaged/destroyed thing in all anime history that people overlook...the moon.
Vash hair becomes black in the manga due to a form of "decay" caused by using his plant powers. It's one of the many details the original adaptation didn't include. Maybe the reboot will delve into that more, so far it seems like they incorporated a lot more from the manga even though they tell the story differently as well.
I love how every now and then Livio and Razlo show up in this. Makes me happy. It’s also really cool to me that a lot of this stuff I already knew because I like to read in between the lines & just because I see myself in a few of these characters

I haven't read the manga in a while, but I believe it to be accurate. Also, Wolfwood's childhood/"childhood" backstory is considerably different in the manga as opposed to the anime. Vash’s revolver has a practical design by accident, having a barrel below in a revolver reduced the recoil
Carlos Wu that’s cool as heck, but I doubt that’d matter to someone as strong as Vash
Lower bore axis is good for recoil, but it lowers the cylinder gap so it’s harder to shoot two handed without getting burned.
There are actually 2 models of real revolvers made that fire like this: the Mateba (thanks Ghost in the Shell) and the Rhino.
isaned Chiappa makes the Rhino and Unica the Mateba. Both Italian.
