Wunderschöne Interpretation dieser fein komponierten doch teilweise selten aufgeführten Meisterwerke im veränderlichen Tempo mit anmutigem doch gut artikuliertem Klang des Klaviers und mit möglichst effektiver Dynamik. Echt geniale Pianistin!
The gavotte is so interesting; it reminds me a lot of Ravel. Like, listen to Ravel’s Valses Nobles et Sentimentales 1 & 7, and see if you can hear what I mean. The way he uses extended chords in high ringing registers with a lot of chromaticism is very Ravellian, but it’s complete coincidence. I mean he wrote this like 15 years before Ravel wrote the Valses.
At 1:05:07 is a marvelous version of the Humoresque. She brings out the contrasts of playfullness/brightness with the power and quiet sonority of some of the other sections. My favorite version of this tune. Manificent!
So melodious and powerful, a virtuoso pianist knows how to compose music! Rachmaninov became one of my favorite composers, and Brilliant Classics did quite a lot for it :).
How is it after being a pianist for my whole career I had never heard this suite in Dm? Marvelous music. Of course not as "deep or mature", but who cares. Great music. Found the sheet music and will start working on it tomorrow. And of course a lot of my enthusiasm is probably because of the wonderful performance it got.
@@MrTsaturian How about 'Easy, Rachmaninoff, my boy; that's a few too many notes in that piece'? Or: 'That's not easy, Mr Rachmaninoff - that's practically impossible'? Or: 'I would love it if I could find a piece by Rachmaninoff that was super easy'? Or 'Hard to imagine "Rachmaninoff" and "Easy" in the same sentence'?

Que buena forma de destacar esta interpretación: "Her playing combines Italian charm and Slavic passion"
This is a delightful set of tracks - masterfully performed.
