This was a great video, I’ve never done work under the hood in my life but I wanted to surprise my husband when he returns from his deployment and I was able to change his battery out by myself with this video thank you!!
Agreed, i wish all instructional videos were like this. No need for a long story about how pappy used to change batteries while holding a baby cow and chewing some tabakey. Just want the info lol.
Its a good idea to wear silcon gloves to protect your hands from any battery acid. Additionally you should ensure the battery is not sliding after tighting the two bolts (by moving battery left right back and forth. It should not move.
The short clamp mounted to the strut tower side. You can hook it on two ways. How did you hook it up? With the open side of the hook towards the battery or the opposit?
Make sure you take negative terminal off first
Thanks for this! I always like to see exactly how a process will work on my year make and model before I attempt it myself.

Quite the coincidence, not only the same year and model as my Impreza but the same color. Easy to understand video by the way.
Hi Tim, for your Impreza, do you know if there is a security code for the radio if you disconnect the battery?
This is so helpful. I am a single and now confident I can do this myself.
Thanks for the simple instructions
Super helpful and detailed. Straight to the point. Thanks!

When removing the battery you should start with the negative terminal. This will protect the car's components from damage..
And with the new one? Same, or vice versa? Means Plus first!?
@@vectragt2310 attach plus first. Rule of thumb is if only 1 terminal is connected it should be +
