Hi, I have made a pot with white cement and for moulding I used a steel bowl greased with oil. Its been six hours now since I’ve made it. However, the bowl is not coming out and I am afraid to pull it out forcefully as it might break. Can you help with any idea?

Hi! It's only been six hours. You have to wait at least 6 hours more.

Pour boiling water over the dog bowl. The heat causes the metal to expand off the concrete, youll hear a satisfying POP noise, also 6 hours is only suitable for quick crete. Normal concrete is 48 hours, otherwise you risk damaging the concrete edges as theyre still soft.

How long before it released.. it's been a year now! 😉 I'm asking because I have a huge stainless bowl that was my mother's. I do not want to harm it. Will covering it in plastic help with releasing? Thanks.. I'm new to Hypertufa!

It's for the "curing" step. If you don't do it, the concrete will lose moisture fast. When this happens, you'll end up with an unusable cracked concrete bowl.

Tried this following the directions to the letter making 3 bowls to be left at my local park. All fell apart. I left the ss molds instead.
