I've skipped a fair few videos because I simply don't know the source material when it comes to the games you analyse, so this video was a very pleasant surprise. Dropped just about everything else I was doing to watch it, and I wasn't disappointed. It's always difficult to find where one's pattern recognition is reasonable and where it overstates the case, but I think you navigated the difficult subjects here well.
@user-pv1sr8lo3zSo would that make the idea that Christ was a Buddha true? How do you think these religions would would look if they were brought together and looked at with a different perspective?
@@maxderrat seriously it's fantastic, not many people these days are covering such things in an objective and measured way imo. As an old dude who studied these things in his youth I think you did an excellent job here🙏
Yes, this was a great surprise to find as I’ve been concerned with these very questions for years. Another piece of the puzzle, or at minimum a confirmation of what lay ahead. Wonderful!
In a story you have the protagonist, the antagonist, and the plot that links both in a struggle. The protagonist casts light upon one aspect of the theme, the antagonist argues about the opposite being better. However, they cannot interact without the plot. Finally, the trio wraps up the theme being discussed perfectly, except there is a fourth, ever-changing, unpredictable part: the reader, the embodiment of free will, also the one that really changes (because the story is immutable, the person reading isn't). It is basically the thesis, antithesis, synthesis, and the reader.
I saw the author of this video claim that he was nervous about this upload, this is the most original, well thought out, and helpful video I’ve seen in a while. You’re tackling a very complex topic and make is as easy as possible to digest. If nothing else, I appreciate your contribution
Last year I've read "The unconscious as infinite sets" by psychoanalyst Ignacio Matte Blanco. The book was a bout the difference between the concious logic (aristotelic logic) and the unconcious one, the logic we can see in dreams and delusions. There was a part in which he discussed the role of numer three in the formation of thoughts: he said that in order to form a proposition (a phrase, which can be said out loud or just thought), in order to think about ... well... anything, the human mind needs to consider 3 elements: -Something -Something Else -the Relationship between the two previous elements Each part of this triad cannot exist without the other two. We cannot define anything without thinking about something different from it, and if we think about two things we always have to consider the relationship between the two. This was just a very little part of the book, however it really made me think, since I too have alwasy been interested in the role of number three in mythology and religions.

Each time you release a new video Max is a full learning experiencie with no doubt. I love all your content related to videogames but my favourites are the Aion and Answer to Job series. Hope you still making that kind of content in the future man. You're a treasure among the sea of UA-cam Channels. Greetings from Argentina!
I've been discovering so much of these same ideas over the years, it is crazy to see someone laying out something so close to how I've been thinking! You really helped me put a lot of fascinating stuff together and introduced me to so much additional detail. Thank you!
Since school I noticed the number 3 pattern In religion and matters of life, this notion was in my mind for so long disturbing my head. I was impressed no one talked about it but this finally changed. this video is what i was waiting for during these 5 years. thank you so much
Thank you so much Max for posting this. I've been going down a philosophical and religious rabbit hole recently, and wahla you come out with this. The lore of Earth is truly insane.
I actually knew a fair amount of what you brought up in this one! My first exposure to Jung was when I happened to stumble upon a copy of a more obscure text (Psychology and Religion, a Terry lecture given in 1938) which is basically a crash course in his explanation of color theory, and I remember the exact moment he pulled the curtain back on the significance of the color blue feeling as if someone had just blown my head off with a shotgun.
Yes Max, Order is masculine and Chaos is feminine. In hindu shastras and puranas, 'Om' the masculine form of brahman and the frequency of space calmed down 'Shakti' the feminine form of brahman. 'Om' resembles the order (creation, preservation and destruction) in the universe and 'Shakti' resembles chaos or unpredictability with the sense of individuality. Note (for those who are confused with the difference of Brahman and Brahma): - Brahman is the One that Pythagoras references, the absolute divine consisting both good and bad. And Brahma is manifestation of brahman's creation aspect. Every higher god Vishnu ji, Mahadev or Shiva, Brahma, Lakshmi maa, Parvati maa and Saraswati maa (the wife of the trinity and Shakti's vessels to help Om's vessel or the trinity). All the theories of Carl and Pythagoras are followed by our beliefs, just a large part of information were lost due invasions and other shenanigans. Love you from India Max.
This was a great freaking video. I’m currently doing a cultural media analysis for class that I’m sort of playing with the inspirations and morals of games like Zelda and early jrpgs that really speak to who I’ve become as a person today, very much studying the ways of life and philosophies that inspired these games, transferring this sacred knowledge to us without us even knowing. My essay seeks to explore this and I look forward to using you as a resource. Thank you so much for your time and energy ❤
I can tell you have put a lot of effort into this video. I love how you made this amazing video with a lot of interesting things. With all the research you have done and the script you have written your video has payed off and I respect your efforts😊.
Another Judeo-Christian trinity is God + Adam + Eve. Then the Serpent fulfils the kabbalahist role of the fourth by being the void that separates this trinity.
Another could just be God + Adam + Serpent as a reflection of God + Jesus + Spirit. Where Adam broke a commandment first, but Jesus was first to break no commandment. Where the Serpent leads man to sin, but the Spirit leads man from sin.
Very interesting and thought-provoking video. As a person with Asperger's myself I've always been fascinated by numbers and their apparent and hidden meanings. Thank you, Max, for making this!
I would like to make a note: I'm inclined to think that 1 and 2, especially in the case of yin/yang and god the father/god the son, would be interchangeable in most representations. Excellent video! This is the kind content I've subscribed for
I like to see it as masculine and feminine. Where is the Mother Goddess in all of this... 1 is gnani, faith, order, and masculine. 2 is raja, forgiveness, chaos, and feminine. 3 is the pinnacle, and is unity, rebirth, karma, charity, and enlightenment. And the base of the tetrahedron is bhakti, grace, love, space-time. The base or #4 is that which allows. Force coming from the 4th dimension. AKA God's grace. There are many didactic triangles that we can create to explain our existential meaning.
@@ADUAquascaping I think it can just be any sort of duality or dichotomy. In Christianity it is the dichotomy between God and Humanity that is resolved/united by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ (fully man and god) and the presence of the holy spirit. The 4th element is clearly Satan who leads humanity astray causing disunity. Christianity does not distinguish masculinity and femininity as characteristics of cosmic importance "there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
1, 2, 3, 4. Order, chaos, unity, space-time. You can't forget the 4th dimension. This also creates a tetrahedron. The only self-sustaining and indivisible polygon in our universe. You need at least 4 vertices to create a polygon and that shape is the tetrahedron.
I don't know your channel and from the introduction it sounds like you don't usually deal with explicitly religious topics on here, but this is a pretty solid coverage of the topic - nice job! 👍🏻
There was 4 I found while researching the Tree of Life. A lot of people don't know this, but there is a flip side of the Tree of Life called the Qliphoth. The Qliphoth (The Tree of Death) is basically the evil side of the Tree of Life (Kabbalah) where the Sefirot are all just empty husks with each, their own demon. Anywho, while looking into this, I found something interesting. It didn't hold a trinity, but a square: In the top left: Astral Body In the top right: Mental Body Bottom left: Vital Body Bottom right: Physical Body. Anywho, I thought you might find this interesting. Like I said, not a lot of people know about the Tree of Death.
The square is a cube stripped of one of it's dimensions. And the third dimension is a plane of limitation bound by strict laws of matter, time and physics. The physical world, time and space have always been associated with the planet Saturn (whose symbol is a cube and who's color is black) and it would make sense for the qlippoth to be associated with this overabundance of the saturnian qualities of restriction and control. The entire existence of the Qlippoth itself comes from too much of the malefic energies of Mars and Saturn not being properly balanced by their pillar of mercy counterpart and becoming their own demonic inversion as a result, so it's not surprising that those aspects of the planets are found even in the symbolism of the Qlippothic tree of death itself.
It is true that the bottom 4 principles of mans constitution do NOT survive the comprehensive death of a reincarnation arc, full process. I only want to add that the mental plane, per Theosophy and its profound clairvoyant (s) states that the bottom 4 subplanes of the mental plane are progressive heavens while the top 3 subplanes belonging to the mental plane are the "mostly" FORMLESS rhelms for the causal bodies of all humans and particularly for the most spiritually advanced humans which allows an exalted perception to know at a glance, the position of an individual in the causal hierarchy. The entire history of our planet and all reincarnating entities is supposedly stored perpetually at the causal level, and is referred to as the most perfect clarity within the Memory of Nature. Long story short, the exalted aspects of "unselfish" or "not selfish" thought and action survive death and contribute to a "more permanent" character (NOT PERSONALITY) reborn with higher intuition.
It makes sense that in a dimension of duality, there would be a Tree of Death as the equal opposite of the Tree of Life. And no, I had never come across the Tree.of Death in what I have read, so far. Thank you
And all deaf when spoke plain says exactly how to test this moment yet you don't know how to test this moment self proclaimed people proclaimed proves only unknown unproclaimed deniable false prophets if anything
Gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised coming across this channel, as a noob when it comes to kabbalah, alchemy, Gnosticism, Hermeticism, and the occult in general, I loved hearing you unravel so many mysteries that I'm still researching. I would love if you included sources! Books, articles, videos, whathaveyou. Currently, I am reading the Chicken Qabalah, and have been on and off reading various books on alchemy and symbolism. Practical Alchemy is a solid introduction for the former subject. As is The Element Encyclopedia for symbols. If you've any suggestions I am all ears!
I would go with the psychological. I read about an experiment test of people's ability to perceive how many of a specific object they were shown. They were put in a dark room and allowed to see a number of candles just for a second or two. The subjects could always accurately tell when they were shown one candle, two candles, or three candles. Once the number of candles exceeded three candles, it became more difficult to perceive how many candles the subject saw. I do not remember what was the max number of candles where some could perceive the count. Even with four candles, most people did not instantly see four candles. What they saw were three candles plus one more. They had to isolate three candles so that they could perceive the fourth one. If the spiritual world is so stable, why did it deliberately destabilize itself by inventing the physical world?
I wonder if this has something to do with why (at least to me) trilogies often feel better than just having a sequel (even when one of the films is not as good as the others) and a fourth film can be dubious, even when it is good. Nice video!

As a jungian psychilogist, I must say: well done, great video. But I must point out about the "feeling as irrational" that you gave as example about quaternities. If you're referring to Jung's psychological types , that is incorrect, and most people get it wrong. Thinking and feeling are rational, sensation and intuition are irrational. As example, feeling types have great capacity of choosing which emotions they focus on, which means they rationalize about emotions. Emotion, on the other hand, is not one of the 4 types (everyone has the 4 types, btw, each in its own degree), but a natural quality that most living beings experience, independent of being able to process it or only react to it. Anyways, awesome work, keep on!
It's ironic that, in the concept of the states of conciousness as opposing forces, The Thinking is the superior and "spiritual" state, opossing to The Feeling, since the most rational thinkers tend to be more materialistic and skeptic of anything to do with spirituality than the more emotional thinkers. Still, the form in which archetypes are clear as abstract ideas but contradictory and unacurate when it is attempted to demonstrate them in the material, "practical" life, is the best demonstration of The Four in action. Another thinng I thought about while watching this video is the dichotomy between 0 and 1, like, if The One is the absolut unit before creation then...? Maybe the 0 is the negation of everything? If you look into the story of the 0 you'll see there's actually a lot of that; it took a while for 0 to be recogniced as a number and the greeks stubbornly negated the necessity of representing nothingness as it implied a contradiction to their dominant metaphisical principless, although in India the 0 was present and represented the concept of sunya (vacuity) and anatman (no-self), maybe also Nirvana in buddhism
As someone who identifies as rational and atheistic, I've always been a bit astonished by the eagerness with which those who identify similarly would toss away the great religious works. It's always seemed plain and common sense to me that the Bible (or any other major religious text) is no more a "book of lies" than _Les Miserables, Notes from the Underground_ or _Fight Club._ In short, works of fiction can be profoundly meaningful and should not be casually dismissed with the excuse "this didn't literally happen," especially when the object under examination was of profound cultural importance to a civilization that survived for thousands of years, while competing civilizations perished. Have these folks not even considered the possibility that works of fiction could have evolutionary significance, that mythic archetypes could be an imperfect but nevertheless necessary adaptation of our psyches to our natural environment? It feels to me as if they wish to pretend that the irrational does not exist, that it does not itself behave according to some form of natural law, and to willfully deceive oneself on that point is its own irrationality.
well we know exactly what the material world is, it's called the physical reality and we have a pretty damn good explanation about it, in fact we understand it well enough so that you're able to read this comment here on this "virtual space" that we created from that knowledge. the spiritual world, the metaphysical reality or whatever people want to call it on the other hand, remain "inconclusive" to say the least even after thousands of years of changes and progress in humanity as a whole, and as a concept it's kind of only persists in the mind of those who insists that it exists, with not even have any consensus whatsoever on the thing let alone unbiased evidence, and therefore can't be used to produce anything other than stroking the feelings of those who insists that it exists. the human feelings btw... it's a sort of logic, just ones that usually only applied onto itself, and it's definitely not spiritual, and we also know well enough where actually feelings "comes from", it's from the same "place" where logic "comes from", the organism brain...

In Hinduism, the Soul (atman) and Supreme Soul (paramatman) are said to reside in the HEARTS of all living beings, and one can only grow spiritually closer to either via their emotions and feelings (a.k.a selfless LOVE for one's true self, for fellow souls, and for God). Hence, the emotional mind (the Heart) isn't viewed as "inferior" like how most Westerners are used to thinking. From a materialistic POV, yes, logic is more beneficial for one's physical survival, but from a spiritual one, the receptive Heart is superior to the rational Mind when it comes to aiding a person's Soul in attaining a higher level of consciousness and directly experiencing God Himself. Hindu gods care more about how their devotees FEEL towards them than what they think or how much knowledge they possess.
Very interesting. I've always questioned the idea of why we find The 3 and or the 4 - the wholesome one so pleasing to the eye. Guess there's a deeper implication that we still don't know yet consciously.
Max you continue to expand my mind in such interesting ways. Topics I never knew existed, brought to life in a style that makes them easy to follow, whilst providing enough intrigue that I am motivated to look into them further. Thanks for all that you do!
Outstanding video. I truly appreciate all the hard work you put into this. I noticed at the end that the cross has 4 key points, but the image of Christ on it has 3 points of contact. Christ is the perfection 3, while when He is manifested in the flesh 4 is the number associated with the symbol. 4 is the number of the Earthly plane. I have been researching numbers and numerical references and patterns for a while now. This greatly reinforced and presented new thoughts. I have been of late noticing things like cultures with Solar Deities were on a system of 12 while Lunar cultures go with 13. Another grouping of 1,2,and 3. 12 masculine, 13 feminine in many cultures. Thank you for your work here.
Bro most reasonable historians agree he existed he has been referenced by 40 ancient historians outside the Bible which is a lot more than the second most commented person it only boils down to if you think he did miracles or not that’s literally all that is up for debate
You know, the whole four being Wholeness and 3 being perfection thing kinda reminds me of how the Diamonds are in Steven Universe, they and their empire worked fine without Pink, but they just didn’t feel complete without her. (In many eastern religions, four is an unlucky number as well. And one could argue that the Diamonds represent the four as well. White is Thinking, Yellow is sensation, Blue is intuition, and Pink is feeling.) I could also make the argument that with the trinity of the father, son and Holy Spirit, the fourth would be Satan or Lucifer, who is sometimes considered lord of all things that are Earthly, which does threaten the perfection of the trinity.
Numerology has no foundation in reality. Numerology is devoid of scientific basis, and it fares badly when examined under the light of reason. More important, because it is a form of divination, numerology conflicts with Bible teachings. In view of that, numerology is not a beneficial means of regulating your life or planning your future.
Four is usually unlucky because it's a homonym for death, both are sounded out as "shi" in Japanese. I don't know enough of Chinese to know if it remains a homonym, but as far as Japanese goes, it's not a religious number so much as a supernatural one, where the veil between the physical and spirit worlds is easily breached. It's why some trains and residences skip 4, and why 4:44AM is their witching hour.

If I were to wager a guess, one of the games that inspired the search into 3s was Zelda 3s show up all over the series, 3 goddesses with a hidden fourth, three reincarnated archetypical characters, the ultimate treasure in the world being a triangle made of three parts that breaks when not possessed by somebody embodying all three aspects and the full triforce granting any wish for mortals, and they try to make it into a sort of continuous myth as a form of storytelling through the timeline. Heck there are even 3 timelines.

I have been looking into this topic as of late because of Elden Ring. There is alot of themes of duality and trinities and I was curious. Also, I wish I had the patience to get into Hegel, I feel like he has a lot of good takes on this.
I have struggled a great deal with the concept of the Trinity in my Christian faith. I've searched decades (really!) to make sense of it. All the explanations people have come up with in the church are lacking. They have no idea how to explain it because they grew up with it. I was raised by two atheists so it was VERY weird to me that God would exist in three forms. Looking at it from a math perspective is the most sane start. Thank you for this.
Have a look at Islam bro. We only worship the one unique God/Allah. Enough resources on yt to look at. And remember only God gives guidance so ask for it with an open heart
The Catholic Church has already clarified the dogma of the Holy Trinity for millennia, the problem is the Protestants who keep reviving heresies and denying Councils.
Look into panentheism(all is in God but God is beyond) and hermeticism/neoplatonic philosophy. Its pagan in origin and practice but is very rational and nature-focused unlike chistianity and islam
I’ve always associated 4 as the holy number, idk why. But for some reason as a kid I’ve always associated 4,5,12 as these special numbers. Idk why just always had this feeling since a kid.
Max never got around to five, but I feel it's the most human number. To me represents the number of fingers on a hand and thus what people can build, which can be looked at either positively or negatively; if 4 represents the wholeness of a theoretical system, 5 represents practical application and/or getting one's hands dirty. When I think of 5 I think of how Le Vey's Satanism happened to draw heavily from Rand's Objectivism, which are both very "five-y" to me, if that makes any sense. It probably doesn't. Also KMFDM and pentagrams.
I was initially very curious on what you had to say about this, but after watching the vid, I can say that it's a bit all over the place. I would definitely recommend more research and more "chewing" on the ideas that you're providing here. You're definitely onto something. But not there yet. Cheers!
3's are quite common even outside religion. Jokes (besides question/answer) are told in 3 parts, stories and plays are done in 3 acts, and other examples which escape me.
Yeah, there is natural dynamic of trinity is going around. Dynamic of 2 polar opposites there is their unification which 3th in the middle. Starting act and final act are polar opposites and middle act acts as their unification. Same philosophy is in old religions as well.

There's so many of these in Kingdom Hearts. Which has a possibility of being intentional because it has Jungian symbolism and literally uses the word Trinity. I just want to point out that in certain cultures, 10 is considered to be the perfect number mainly due to the fact that it contains the numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Yes 10 is and also considered the number of God. But basic numerology 10 is not a number anything above 9 is the 2 digits added together. So 10 is 1+0=1. This was hidden for various reasons throughout time. For instance these beliefs could get you murdered during certain time periods. 666=9 or man and his consciousness...
@aaron laluzerne Oh! For some reason, I was thinking exclusively of multiplication/division. Like 12 is divisible by all of 1, 2, 3, and 4, but 10 isn't, so 12 should be the perfect number instead... But if it's just a simple addition, why stop at 4? 1+2+3+4+5=15, so why not have 15 as the perfect number? Or 21 or 28? Or stop the addition earlier and put the perfect number at 6?
Of all the places I thought I'd find what possibly the best explanation of how the Holy Trinity is at once 3 separates and one whole, I did not expect to find it on a UA-cam channel primarily devoted to videogames. In fact, I've never found a compelling explanation, not even from supposed experts on the matter. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts.
You want? Here. Chew on this... "In our desire to illumine the differences between visual and acoustic space, we have undoubtedly given a false impression: and that is that the normal brain, in its everyday functioning, cannot reconcile the apparently contradictory perceptions of both sides of the mind. There is, we know from experience, a "unified field" of the mind." [The Global Village, Marshall McLuhan, 1989, I. Exploration of Visual and Acoustic Space, Sec. 4: The East Meets West in the Hemispheres, p. 48] YOU are the "TRINITY"... could it be anymore cliche? [Y]OUR Psyche is.... Dun, Dun, Dun, Duuunnn..... The Creator. Sorry to break it to you. You were always looking the wrong way , distracted by glitz and clamor ... from YOU. Life is The Tain in that way. To Enter the Tain is to .... Know Thy Self. Get PASSED the projections and reflections and say, "I ART THAT." (I stole that last part from the statue of Hermes at the Manly P Hall, School of Philosophy, in AND on, Los Feliz, in L.A. I took a selfie with it when walking by and it was inscribed in the book he holds open in his hands... I never heard it before that)
I know I'm a bit late to this video, but the whole idea of the 3 with the 4th excluded makes me think of how we experience 3 spacial dimensions and 1 temporal. Also how we have one universal theory that works at the macro level, and one at the micro, those being relativity and quantum, and how they are seemingly incompatible. The leading case for a unifying theory being string theory, which only works in 10 (or 11 for M-theory) dimensions, which is reminiscent of the tree of life with it's 10/11 points. I don't feel qualified or intelligent enough to make any solid statements about this, but it really does feel like we're dancing with some universal truths here. I really wish that in our current age our scientific and religious minds weren't so seemingly at odds with one another. You're doing God's work Max
It simply has to do with craft/art. Two things are needed to make something new. Two people are needed to make a child, a tool and a material are needed to make an object, etc. That’s why this concept is applied mostly to creator deities. I would recommend reading Joseph Campbell’s “Hero With A Thousand Faces” and his “Masks of God” series. The Masks series was his thesis, so it’s pretty heavy-handed, but he brings up Jung quite a bit as well. I will say that I’m not so sure that the trinity concept can be applied the same way to more primitive pre-agriculture mythologies. Hunter-gatherer tribes were mostly matriarchal and venerated goddess worship.
I know you like dark souls, and this perfect trinity and whole quaternity idea shows up in that story too. There's 3 well known god souls Izalith, Gwyn, and Nito, with a 4th dark/hidden soul associated with humanity, emotions, desire/greed, and free will that is set up as opposition to the gods, and it is considered 'evil' or 'heretical'
I'm glad someone mentioned dark souls. There's also a similar occurrence in Elden Ring, with the three interlocking circles of the elden ring reprisenting Life, Souls, and Order, and the missing 4th either belonging to Death or Chaos.
"Here as elsewhere, the Witch stands for a mater natura or the original "matriarchal" state of the unconscious indicating a psychic constitution in which the unconscious is offset only by a feeble and still dependent consciousness... And since the quaternity is a Symbol of wholeness and wholeness plays a considerable role in the picture world of the unconscious..... But what is the meaning of the opposition between threeness to fourness, or rather, what does threeness mean compared with wholeness? In alchemy this problem is known as the axiom of Maria... Three being a masculine number, is logically correlated to... the lower triade. Four, a feminine number... represent the unconscious spirit, which in one case is subordinated to the wicked magician (threeness) and in the other to the Old witch (fourness). Between the three and the four there exists the primary opposition of male and female, but whereas fourness is a Symbol of wholeness, threeness is not. The latter, according to alchemy, denotes polarity, since one triad always presupposes another, just as high presupposes low, lightness darkness, good evil. In terms of energy polarity means a potential, and wherever a potential exists there is the possibility of a current, a flow of events, for the tensions of opposites strives for balance. If one imagines the quaternity as a square divided into two halves by diagnol, one gets two triangles whose apices point in opposite directions. This simple reflection shows how three can be derived by four... The three-leggedness is due to an accident, therefore, which occurred at the very moment when the horse (threeness) was leaving the territory of the dark mother (fourness). In psychological language we should say that when the unconscious wholeness becomes manifest, i.e., leaves the unconscious and crosses over into the sphere of consciousness, one of the four remains behind, held fast by the horror vacuum of the unconscious. There thus arises a triad, which as we k ow- not from the fairy tale but from the history of symbolism-constellates a triad in opposition to opt-in other words, a conflict ensues. Here too we could ask Socrates, "One, two, three-but, my dear Timaeus, of those who yesterday were banqueters and today are banquet-givers, where is the fourth?" He has remained in the realm of the dark mother, caught by the selfish greed of the unconscious, which is unwilling to let anything escape from its magic circle save at the cost of a corresponding sacrifice." [Psyche and Symbol, Carl Jung, 1958, Ch. 2: The Phenomenology of the Spirit in Fairy Tales, Sec. IV: Theriomorphic Spirit Symbolism in Fairy Tales, p.90, 91, 92]
It's crazy to think that so many of us ended up here because we played Silent Hill 20 years ago and thought the symbols were neat. Gaming is the new gnosis.
Thank you for an incredibly informative video about the mystery of the 3. I just found you and subscribed and will be looking more in depth at your videos.
Great work! Even as a religious person, I can always appreciate the deist/atheist perspective, when it recognizes the wisdom encoded in religion, whether one takes it to be literally true or not. As opposed to the frankly laughable, "Oh it's just stories some primitives made up to make themselves feel better!"
"oh it's just some stories some primitives made up to make themselves feel better!" Technically correct (the best kind of correct). But more accurately, to have their culture survive where the cultures with weaker stories perished.
@@williamking7800 IDK why, but what you said about cultures with weak stories perishing just reminded me of the second rule of the Midnight Society in Nickelodeon's "Are You Afraid of The Dark?"
Obviously it's the Father and Mother, then the Son. We need to break out of the systematic suppression of the Divine Feminine once and for all. Humanity is still being deceived, the Father gets credit for Mother's accomplishments, creations, and good works.
In Christian theology, God is masculine because humanity is feminine. If you read older Christian works, the (human) soul is usually designated in the feminine, and this is because God is the one chasing after humanity, wooing the soul that she may fall in love with Him, and in finality let herself be filled with Himself. Check out the book Song of Songs in the Old Testament.
Also I think it's interesting to take note that the 4 in the christan cross is stuck in the ground, it is connected to the material. And also also, since I follow these topics (mostly through internet research and yt videos), I somewhere came across an idea for the yin representing feminine energy and its linkage to chaos. Namely, the idea is that the feminine chaos is for the most part non destructive, it relresents the chais from which life is birthed, the chaos of nature, the untamed nature, while yang, the mesculine, is order, man-made, structure, and it can also be chaotic, but that chaos is more often destructive. Loved the video btw, I'm a sucker for these topics
I tried my hand at thinking that Orthodoxy was true but now I can't help but leaning towards agnostic atheism but also some sort of Zoroastrian Unitarian nonsense perennialism ie broadly speaking Creator Deity worship
This is not what you should be getting from the video Mario. You should be seeing the trinity is a blasphemous cancer Satan has used to blind the minds of its believers

Omg I'm just getting into this metaphysical thinking and this is awesome

I saw the author of this video claim that he was nervous about this upload, this is the most original, well thought out, and helpful video I’ve seen in a while. You’re tackling a very complex topic and make is as easy as possible to digest. If nothing else, I appreciate your contribution
Last year I've read "The unconscious as infinite sets" by psychoanalyst Ignacio Matte Blanco. The book was a bout the difference between the concious logic (aristotelic logic) and the unconcious one, the logic we can see in dreams and delusions. There was a part in which he discussed the role of numer three in the formation of thoughts: he said that in order to form a proposition (a phrase, which can be said out loud or just thought), in order to think about ... well... anything, the human mind needs to consider 3 elements:
-Something
-Something Else
-the Relationship between the two previous elements
Each part of this triad cannot exist without the other two. We cannot define anything without thinking about something different from it, and if we think about two things we always have to consider the relationship between the two.
This was just a very little part of the book, however it really made me think, since I too have alwasy been interested in the role of number three in mythology and religions.
It's time to start writing your own book.
Maybe the fourth could be looking for an alternate solution using the first three as a foundation
That's deep
@@frazfrazfrazfraz It's called the thesis, antithesis, and synthesis. And there is a 4th part, it's your ability to think in the first place, which is the universe or God's grace. There is the foundation of the triangle, which is the space that allows. There is the left side (antithesis), the right side (thesis), and the pinnacle (synthesis). In 3 dimensions, which includes the space that allows, also known as time, it creates a tetrahedron. A tetrahedron is the only indivisible shape in our dimension. And we need at minimum 4 vertices to create the simplest shape, which is a tetrahedron. And having 4 vertices will always create a tetrahedron and nothing else.
We can make a didactic triangle from almost any concept because of how our minds relate to matter. Even a picture hanging on a wall. The (1) picture, the wall (2), how they relate(3), and then space-time (4).

The colour blue? I'm curious. Can you enlighten me?
Blue invokes feelings of calm and peace and lowers your blood pressure while Red speeds up your blood pressure.
I remember identifying this pattern back in 2003 when i was 16, super stoked to watch this
Yes Max, Order is masculine and Chaos is feminine.

Yet another fantastic video man. You are by far my favorite UA-camr. You deserve all the popularity I’m sure you’ll get soon!!!
Your explanation of the 1, 2, 3 was rather brilliant and yet simple. Basically you just explained creation from source.
It didn't hold a trinity, but a square:
In the top left: Astral Body
In the top right: Mental Body
Bottom left: Vital Body
Bottom right: Physical Body.
It is true that the bottom 4 principles of mans constitution do NOT survive the comprehensive death
of a reincarnation arc, full process. I only want to add that the mental plane, per Theosophy and its
profound clairvoyant (s) states that the bottom 4 subplanes of the mental plane are progressive heavens
while the top 3 subplanes belonging to the mental plane are the "mostly" FORMLESS rhelms for the
causal bodies of all humans and particularly for the most spiritually advanced humans which allows an
exalted perception to know at a glance, the position of an individual in the causal hierarchy.
The entire history of our planet and all reincarnating entities is supposedly stored perpetually at the
causal level, and is referred to as the most perfect clarity within the Memory of Nature.
Long story short, the exalted aspects of "unselfish" or "not selfish" thought and action survive death
and contribute to a "more permanent" character (NOT PERSONALITY) reborn with higher intuition.
It makes sense that in a dimension of duality, there would be a Tree of Death as the equal opposite of the Tree of Life.
And no, I had never come across the Tree.of Death in what I have read, so far.
Thank you

It’s simple, anytime you have 2 extremes; left right, black white, Democrat Republican, etc when you rise above ignorant duality and find a middle ground of anything it’s a “higher perspective.”

That's exactly what I was talking about, religious and spiritual people can't even get a consensus on the "spiritual" matter that they insist exist and takes precedence over the "evil/corrupt material world"... Their truths differs from one another that are simply incoherent when being seen as a whole from outsider point of view...

4 is whole and complete and perfectly mirrors itself, being able to be split in half because it is an even number.
Wow, this is deep! I'm gonna have to watch it a couple more times, there's a lot to unpack here. Excellent video!
Christ was not real, so…..
Bro most reasonable historians agree he existed he has been referenced by 40 ancient historians outside the Bible which is a lot more than the second most commented person it only boils down to if you think he did miracles or not that’s literally all that is up for debate
I guess "Me Myself & I" is the psychological source.
What a classic video! We love you Max!!!

All religions are pagan`s nonsense.

We perish because of the lack of knowledge, not because the lack of beliefs in religions.

If I were to wager a guess, one of the games that inspired the search into 3s was Zelda
3s show up all over the series, 3 goddesses with a hidden fourth, three reincarnated archetypical characters, the ultimate treasure in the world being a triangle made of three parts that breaks when not possessed by somebody embodying all three aspects and the full triforce granting any wish for mortals, and they try to make it into a sort of continuous myth as a form of storytelling through the timeline. Heck there are even 3 timelines.

The trinity was invented by the Roman Catholic church. Not in Bible.

It's the thesis, antithesis, and synthesis.
The picture (1), the wall (2), how they relate (3), and then space-time (4).
1 Order, 2 chaos, 3 unity, 4 space-time.

How does 10 contain 3 and 4?
@@KarlKristofferJohnsson 1+2+3+4=10.

"In our desire to illumine the differences between visual and acoustic space, we have undoubtedly given a false impression: and that is that the normal brain, in its everyday functioning, cannot reconcile the apparently contradictory perceptions of both sides of the mind. There is, we know from experience, a "unified field" of the mind."

It is a great video with deep thoughts. I've been thinking about it, and your reflections are similar to mine. Thanks for sharing this with others.
Here too we could ask Socrates, "One, two, three-but, my dear Timaeus, of those who yesterday were banqueters and today are banquet-givers, where is the fourth?" He has remained in the realm of the dark mother, caught by the selfish greed of the unconscious, which is unwilling to let anything escape from its magic circle save at the cost of a corresponding sacrifice."

Obviously it's the Father and Mother, then the Son. We need to break out of the systematic suppression of the Divine Feminine once and for all. Humanity is still being deceived, the Father gets credit for Mother's accomplishments, creations, and good works.
It went as logos is the masculine and chaos (from where logos created the reality) is the mother.
