Thanks for this - I have moved from an area with 80 - 90 % humidity to a very dry climate, and this info could help me try to figure out which products to switch to........Between trying to eliminate glycerin and hard water - my hair is going insane :-)
I would advise figuring out what is causing the hair fall. It could be caused by hair breakage, but it could also be caused by scalp issues, or even body issues like nutrition or hormones. Manes by Mell has a good video on this. Personally I would not add a vinegar rinse just to try to balance your shampoos pH; vinegar is acidic itself and that could also do damage. Shampoo formulators usually add things like conditioners to make up for any pH effects in their products. If your shampoo makes your hair feel rough, maybe switch to one that has more conditioning agents, or make sure you're using a really good conditioner or deep conditioner.
While vinegar would lower the pH, I wouldn't add it to products. They have been formulated to work correctly, and not be chunky etc, and changing the pH might have unintended consequences. Also, lowering the pH too much also isn't great for hair; unless you have access to a lab pH meter it won't be easy to tell how much you're lowering the pH.
Love this! It's super geeky but it doesn't address the other harmful ingredients in products for curly hair.
I got so excited when you busted out the dry shampoo! Thanks for this video.
Thanks for this video. I love Vanicream Free and Clear and have been curious about it's ph. It is the only thing that works for my scalp.
Where did you get your strips
Interesting! Thanks for the info!
You're welcome!

Nice video. Thank you 😊

As someone experiencing hairfall, what do u advise? Can I rinse my hair with apple cider vinegar to balance the ph?
