I wonder if it's even possible for you to know how far your reach is on planet earth...such unbelievable radiance and beauty wrapped up in the most delightful smile and unmatched wit. Here is the biggest thankyou from Canada for making everyone's day just a little brighter. You make people feel heard and understood and as though we are sitting right beside the best of friends. May your heart be blessed so abundantly the way you bless others!
Plano, Texas, Sheltered in Place and loving your daily readings. It's like the Library Lady back in grammar school, but with spicier, funnier content. Love you, Sarah!!
Oregon. Thank you! I work in healthcare, so like many, I am tired and want to unwind when I get home. I have been watching a part every day. I also thought this one was particularly funny. Cheers.
And I'm all caught up! Thanks Sarah. I really enjoy these story times. They're like balm to my weary soul in these strange times. 5 or even 6 minutes of me time every day 🌸
First time I've heard the phrase, "low level love". I can easily see how one could have a "low level love" for a cookie, and favorite food, a puppy, (or god forbid a 'kitty') but not a person! Interesting. I love these daily readings. Brings great joy to an otherwise boring quarantine!
YOU, dear witty Sarah, made/make me laugh out loud for reals this morning & every time you share a story. See, I’ve spent the last 2 (or is it 3 days....what day of the week is it?) catching up on each story time, in order, after the other evening, having binge watched Graham Norton. ... it was the episode with James Cordin & Jessica Beale ... I laughed historically when you shared about walking in front for your bf flat and the sensor for the garage door went off ... chuckling now even. I try too to be funny when life bashed me with similar situations, but it comes across either too sarcastic or self deprecating. (Could’ve sworn there was a V in there...dep-ra-Vaaaaa-ting). This must be another one of those words I’ve been speaking incorrectly for a life time like supposingly/supposedly, or irregardless. Man! I was publicly humiliated when some girl, stops her conversation, having eves dropped on mine and shouts above a crowd of my friends, “IRREGARDLESS?! IRREGARDLESS!!!! Who said that?! Seriously. WHO. SAYS. THAT?!!! (Turning now to her group as I had red faced, coward slowly backwards to non existence into the crowd, continues....) It’s just regardless. Sheesh. It’s already negative and there’s no reason to make it more negative!!!!” And then she sipped her drink quietly, turning her eyes coyly to the guys she was talking to. Yup! I had had a crush on her....humpf. I feel it’s only fair to share a story (perhaps you’re bored enough to get this far) in appreciation and go beyond a thumbs up or a one word compliment. Although I’m not a girl, I can relate to being bullied and having features that are pulled apart by others.... and by myself when they can’t be bothered. You’ve helped me realize I should be & can be more gentle in reflecting my childhood and the fine art of making things stretch. Certainly, in times like this, it’s ever so apparent this is a lesson I unknowingly learned from mama and daddy.... if they were alive, I’d thank them for this. Life has .... oh man! How did this become about me and not about complimenting you?!!! Apologies. All I started out to say was that I made banana muffins from scratch (for the first time since 2013) intentionally so that I could power through your quirky story times and get caught up. Too late to leave a comment on each one, although I did thumbs up them. But today, as I’m now in sync with episode 23, a proper comment was required. (Perhaps I should have suggested you have a cup of tea before reading this comment gone rouge). Thank you, Sarah, for cheering us all up and bringing vocal laughter to my Seattle day! You are truly a gem. Gentle pats to your dog and cat (if she’s willing).
My husband and I are really enjoying our Storytime with Sarah every evening! Listening to Part 23 reminded me, in 1991 I worked as a waitress in a fondue restaurant. It was fancy for our town even though it was located in outlet mall next to a store that sold sheets. The owner had a cd player and told us that we could play any of his approved stack of cds, but if we played James Taylor's Greatest Hits then we had to change it before the last song, "Steamroller" came on. There were many times that a waiter could be seen dashing to the back office before James Taylor sang, "chicken choking m-f king".
💚💚💚 I high level love your brilliant, wise and witty brain and sparklin' personality. You help make life worth livin' a little more these days. Keep up the good work ya lovely little 'clown'.
Good Morning Sarah! I look forward to your daily videos. Always good for a laugh from your witt & great humor. Life's a chaos mess here in the US & people will never learn & more are dying. Thanks for the laughs! Big Hugs!
I listen to you every morning, and I have realised your childhood and mine are almost identical, I always thought I was alone, now I know we are both champion.
😯🙌🙌🙌 Jagged Little Pill is still an absolute favorite!!!! My father and i used to jam out to it all the time. Still playing it for warm hearted nostalgia
I've actually started getting excited when I realize I forgot to watch for a few days, so that I have a bunch of episodes saved up and can binge-watch for 30-40 minutes!! Thank you Sarah! Even though I still get to go to work (at a nearby hospital) my days off don't involve a lot of conversation. I'm loving having story time with you!
Hi Ian, am I missing something because I cannot find Sarah. 24? I am not the brightest spark on my iPad but you are the only person to ask! Thanks pal!
I don't know why, might have been the heavy blue eyeshadow, but this episode took me back to the early 80's when me and my cousin would go to the local clothes shop and buy new tops for the weekend disco. Happy hour at The Lighthouse 7 vodka and cokes for £5. Happy days
Hi Sarah - I'm on Part 23 (been watching for 5 days). I love it! And you! I am so happy I found you. First saw you on Graham Norton and have watched UA-cam bits of your shows and I am maybe not your biggest fan, but I'm up there! Am so happy there are so many more episodes to come! I'm having to stop myself from binging you!
Another lovely story time episode! So funny Sarah! 😂😂😂 ... I really appreciate you taking the time to do this during the pandemic! Love and hugs from Oklahoma, USA!
the first job I loved was in a theme restaurant called ''Applegate's Landing'' a giant splashing water wheel greeted you as you walked past a Ford Model A truck with the salad bar in it's truck bed, there were tables with porch swings for seating, a sunken garden with a giant gazebo in the middle and a brick turret tower, I loved my co-workers, the food was good and as a six foot tall 16 year old, I learned A LOT about the world. thanks to a manager that took a 'special' interest in me. I learned A LOT. Thanks Sarah for nudging that memory.
So look forward to your daily story time. For today’s episode I made more ginger biscuits and chocolate chip cookies 🍪. Tomorrow I’m making a malteaser cheesecake, I’m just sad you can’t have any with a lovely cuppa. But don’t worry I’ll have your slice 😜😂😂 xxx
I was in my early teens when Jagged Little Pill came out. My older sister, who studied music and was ever so much cooler than I, was in a band that performed one school lunchtime. They did 'You Oughta Know' and my friends were very very impressed that my sister actually sang the proper line, rather than censoring herself.
You've just reminded me of my "bad taste" night out with my mates in the '80's. Clashing brown plaid skirt (Jaeger-go figure) purple tights and a horrible top. Guess what, I was chatted up by a fair few guys that night(obviously colour blind).Never going to dress tastefully again lol. Stay safe.
OMG you reminded me of my obsession of the WHSmith selection of cheeper ( couldn’t afford proper Filofax ) refill packs of additional pages for my diary and saving up for a refill for my fancy ‘Cross’ pen I got for Christmas! Loving your videos, stay Fuckin’ safe x
Still loving this every day. As a fellow stationery addict, you must let us know: fountain pen or ballpoint? Rollerball or gel? Soft or hard back notebooks? Coil bound? I used to work in a WH Smith too, here in Canada. So many memories.
I had to grocery shop today for my big family of 4 young adult children and myself and cooked Filipino chicken adobo for "tea" which we call dinner in our family in US. I know you didn't ask today but I wanted to tell you anyway.😊
Missed the spider running up the wall in a previous episode, too many biscuit crumbs on the iPad. Hoping you would be proud of that Sarah. Also putting on a bra everyday is far too much. I only pop one on when heading out for a walk with the kids or going to the supermarket. Loving hearing and seeing you read your book x Cheers from New Zealand
My wife bought a copy of For Women and the newsagent said "do you want a paper bag for that madam?" she said "no thanks, I will read on my way home" !!!!
Im actually from South Shields n live in boldon colliery born n 🍞 a propa effin geordie😃love the episodes a think there effin champion keep swearing sarah suits you lmfao 🤣
Hi Sarah I would have loved to have worked at that WHS with you, I’m sure it would have been a riot. My absolute loooooove of stationary dictates we would have become ring binder buddies. But alas I will respect and admire you from afar. Stay safe chick xxxxx
Fookin' brilliant. We so desperately want another whole stand up routine, luv! Get on that, will ya? Once more, lots of interestin' little details jammed in that Millican's big fat... eh, cute little head! Sarah makes me want to just bust out laughin', every time.
...and some puzzled young person asks "what's a record?". Still got my LPs & turntable. Remember the time I went to my record store (it had been about 6 months), asked where they'd put the records. Only CDs?! Noooo!

I wrote ‘wash your ****ing hands’ on the chalk board in my kitchen today. A little reminder for us all ❤️👍
Have been having a rough time. These make me feel some kind of normalcy.
My partner, now living in Toronto Canada, is from Durham and knows South Shields so well. We both love listening to your daily readings!
Just love these! Makes my day. Also love when you get your tang toungled! Lol!
Absolutely bloody love this series! Brings such a smile to my face!

You are my morning smile Sarah! Shut in in the Bahamas, obeying the rules. Thank you🌸⭐️

Good Morning Sarah! I look forward to your daily videos. Always good for a laugh from your witt & great humor. Life's a chaos mess here in the US & people will never learn & more are dying. Thanks for the laughs! Big Hugs!

Sarah you make my day. I look forward to hearing you tell your story.

These have cheered me up no end. X
came to see you in Blackpool earlier this year, loved it.
All the way over in Bedstuy Brooklyn NYC, a fella makes a cuppa grabs a bit of close at hand form of baked good and turns on the next episode....
Best episode yet!

Jagged little pill....haven't thought of that in years. :-) lovin' these. greatly appreciate you doing them. From Georgia, US.
Stay safe.

Sarah, as an ex Jarra lad I have to say you are a credit to the Geordie nation.
Sarah, have you heard of the Mull of Kintyre rule for the pictures in magazines like For Women?!
Still loving this every day. As a fellow stationery addict, you must let us know: fountain pen or ballpoint? Rollerball or gel? Soft or hard back notebooks? Coil bound? I used to work in a WH Smith too, here in Canada. So many memories.
Just brilliant

Fun fact: There is a town in Central Oregon, USA, called Millican. Apparently it has been for sale a few times; that's how tiny it is.

Left the house twice today, but washed my fookin hands after but didn't get dishes done.

Your first job sounds a lot like my first job, except I was in the record department..
...and some puzzled young person asks "what's a record?". Still got my LPs & turntable. Remember the time I went to my record store (it had been about 6 months), asked where they'd put the records. Only CDs?! Noooo!
