He was willing to fight like a girl with power of a man and skill set of a scientific boxer. Hearns could not go there. Look closely at the 1st flurry by Leonard. That’s how girls use to fight if they lacked training! It’s a reason he’s great to be able to go beyond limits

@@lifeisgood662 lol... Floyd was faster and simply better than Leonard. IF your eyes don't tell you that, you're biased. Hagler got cheated against Leonard cause he clearly beat his ass. Dude (Leonard) wasn't trash, by no means, but I just mentioned two boxers who were better, much better in the case of Floyd.

I try not to compare eras bcuz that's a non-ending useless argument. Yes Floyd was undefeated but never won a title at 160. l think we forget Floyd was initially a 126 pounder that excelled into 147. Floyd wasn't actually a full fledged welterweight. The competition at welterweight in Floyd's era was not as stiff as the Leonard era & fight experts know that Fact. Another fact is that it's not the fighters (Floyds) fault that his era was so so (suspect). Nobody can tell me Floyd woulda survived Hearns or Aaron Pryor. I guess we fight fans are all prisoners of our time eras. Could any of these Fighters named above have beaten Henry Hank Armstrong? Could they have beaten pfp #1 Sugar Ray Robinson @ 147 🤔❓ My answer is, Hell No. Additionally, the further we go back in history - the stronger & more resilient the fighters were. As Evander Holyfield said, " the old Fighters were harder men". To that I add, *only God is truly great 👍*

Only one boxer deserved that acclaim, and though he was great, Sugar Ray knew better than to say he was the greatest. Like Babe Ruth did with baseball, Ali in his prime transcended his sport and stood apart from everyone in it.
