What the heck happened to those tires? ran over a Nokia 3310? XD Always check your tires before going somewhere, especially work, there's no excuse for tires to blow up like that, always check the threads or how old is the tires.
You forgot or something, or maybe you didn't know this. When you buy new tires, they have a mark somewhere on them. That mark is the heaviest part of the tire. When rims are made, the valve stem hole is drilled in the heaviest part of the rim. So when you mount news tires, you want to make the mark 180 degrees, or on the other side of the rim, from the valve stem. having the two heavy parts on opposite sides of each other, will help balance the tire out, and make balancing them easier. Many of times I actually didn't need to add any weights because I did that.
I used to work in a tire shop and sometimes customers didn't care if the tire was shot they still wanted it put back after I patched it. then the tire blows out and they come back blaming us. I said you needed a new tire not our fault.
You're one of the few people who take off the labels off of the tire treads. Ive seen numerous cars with new tires whichs labels were still on the treads. Kinda weird when you see the flashing labels at night on the highway in front of you.
not always, I drove 100km's on a flat deck and another time 10km , with no problems. It also depends on the car's suspension, weight and alloy quality I guess, but of course you shouldn't do it unless absolutely necessary.
I used to work at a tire shop those tires are easy now low profile tires from 24" 26" 28" and up those are hard also them big tires for lifted trucks there hard to air up so we there's something we call the basuka u fill it up with air stick it to the side of the tire u move the handle up and it punches in all the air all at ones inflating the tire makes this loud noise buy it does the job
That's what happened to me the other day. Just driving home from getting fast food then I heard something so I decided to pull over then I had a flat tire and I had no other choice but to drive it home so I put on my hazards then drove around 15-20 mph then when I got home, 10x worse, tire is all busted out, holes everywhere and luckily, the rim isn't damage but I'm currently driving with a spare and hopefully, I can get a new tire before the end of this week. Hate driving with a spare but it does look kinda good on my vehicle. Small as heck though. I don't even know what I ran over to make my tire completely flat.
Its even funnier when you see it in person. About a month ago, saw a lady driving on a side street driving a newer Toyota Camry and she was on her rim. Was going maybe 10mph down the road with her hazard lights on. Then almost 3 years ago while working at a national chain tire shop, a teen stoned out of his mind with his friends comes in just as we were cleaning up and getting ready to close, with a 2005 Monte Carlo. Completely flatened the rim. Had to get 4 new rims for it and his parents were beyond PISSED.
You can’t inflate it with the tire just loose like that, the air will obviously escape… you need one of those things that does a quick explosion that blows it into place…
I miss doing this as a job. I use to do the whole procedure (lifting, taking all 4 wheels off, changing tires, balancing, bolting back on, and torque) in about 20 minutes. It was pretty fun.
I did it for 8 months and hated it. You'd get dumbasses with low profile tires and over sized rims that not only look tacky, but are so warped that you need so many tape wights just to get it remotely balanced. Then you have the redos, where the jackass tire tech before you counter balanced the tires, when adding a bit more weight on the one side compensates for it.
I could only imagine the conversation with this "Um yeah, i'm hearing some strange noises coming from my car and it's leaning on one side could you figure out what it might be?".

I've seen people driving on flat tires. considering how oblivious they seemed at the time, I'm willing to bet some of them are still driving around on those same, flat tires.
Same thing happened to me and my brother we were driving at night and hit the train tracks with our passenger side bending both rims we took a hammer to them and bent them straight and then went and got them balanced and they’re still on the car today. Though with new tires. It also bent the CV axle and broke the camber adjustment bolts in the rear and bent the tie rod. But with it fixed the 07 impala still lives on
wow, those are lighter than I thought. 1:04 I remember when I was 8 in 2008, My dad's 1999 Chevy malibu had to have the tire relplaced. And so when he took off the back wheel, be put it down by the tree. when he left to go get something, began to roll the tire and wheel all over the lawn and sitting on it, playing with it and stuff. just curious. I tried picking the wheel up and the entire wheel was heavy as hell. I thought to myself "how the hell did this car pull all these 4 heavy wheels." Maybe it was the tire that made it feel heavy. but the rim was a black steel plated like that of the car.
What camera setup do you use to have both hands free? Love the videos. And this is kinda scary just what happens when you as an owner of a vehicle don't know how to perform BASIC maintenence like chaning out a tyre for a spare and whatnot. Also, don't even ask about my tire situation right now, it's bad lol

seen a guy once drive on a locked up drum and wore the tire till it poped and proceeded to take the tire off and took it in to have a new one put on the rim then poped that one driving it and kept going as it ate through the rim and lower control arm and part of the knuckle but at least he didnt have to pay that tow fee!!
Daniel don't say Grease when mounting tires... lmao you give people the impression that's what it is. You're here giving somewhat of an instructional video so try to use the correct terms so people dont go puting wheel bearing grease on the bead of there whatever tire, highly doubt they'd be mounting car tires. Let me see you use some grease for mounting a tire and let me know when the tire pops off the bead when the weight of the vehicle is on it or it hits a pot hole... All you use for tire "LUBE" is animal fat..... it acts as lube to mount the tire and then dries shortly after mounting and sticks so that the tire doesnt spin on the rim when you give it some throttle... would honestly like to see a video of that tho
Daniel can you please tell me where did you get your mounting and balancing machines i have a home shop like yours and i would love to get the same machines like yours
Destroyed rims on FWD. I would move rim to back wheel and put one spare tire in back too. I wouldnt drive more than 20-30 mph. Leave hazard light on until arrived nearby shop or nearby home.
