    I enjoyed this video immensely!
    You kinda see old wheels like that just stacked up to rot and to see how it’s possible to restore them to brand new is inspiring.

      It’s not hard to do the same exact thing this person did with a wire brush sand paper wire wheel and 20 bucks in spray paint

    I do not like this, I LOVE this. Base on how and what you used to do it, its obvious that you are an experienced professional. The time and resources that you spent on this could easily worth a full set of four new ones, or more. The fact that you did this shows how much you appreciate your material, your job and you must be really proud of the result. For that, i salute you.

    When first setting the bead of a tire always let the air all the way back out before filling it to the proper PSI. It lets everything settle and helps a great deal with balancing the tire.

      Justin Fisher what? Letting air out then airing back up has nothing to do with letting the tire settle. Your federal courgias always balance like shit and your mastercraft are the best at balancing. It just depends on the tire and where the heavy spots are on the wheel. If you get cheap shit tires then they’ll balance like shit, I’ve had them before, they were amp tires.

    The sounds were really helpful. You could tell when he put the wheel on the table, because you could hear it. Nice use of sound! So glad you didn't ruin all the bonks and clicks by trying to SAY WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

    Great video......I'm probably going to just go the rustoleum route with mine....it rides under the bed of my truck and gets subjected to salt spray from the crap our DOT puts on the roads in the wintertime. If I were restoring a classic car- THIS would be the method I'd use, lol.

    Nicely done as usual. Step One: Get Tire Machine or take it to a shop to get the tire dismounted/mounted. So no balancer then?
    Look forward to the next project. Complex sounds good..still hoping for a Full Body Off Car/Truck Restoration or maybe an ex-military prop aircraft! :-)

    outstanding!
    quick tip to make old tires look like new: mix 50/50 dawn dish soap and water, wipe it on the tire with a cloth and let it dry, repeat, then rinse and dry with a dry cloth

    Funny you are showing a restoration of a tire rim. I just had to do four of mine. Mine were a bit more.difficult because there is a pressed in chrome trim and I could not take it off. Thanks for sharing. Nice job.

    That is a lovely job, you don't say what grit the wet & dry is not what's in the 3rd tin, I'm assuming it's paint thinners &?.
    Only thought I had was to put a little lube on the valve before fitting as I think it would help seat easier.👏👏

    A REAL PRO'S VIDEO!!! Not able to remove tire. Will have to do with tire still on car. What is a good mixture or product to clean rust and paint off wheel w/o hurting rubber? Also, what is the primer mixture you used? Can you advise the best way to clean and paint while wheel is still on car? Would appreciate greatly.

      Да это настоящий пиздец. Даже у нас в быдлорашке можно купить зассаный штамп за 40 рубасов (20$), чем ебаться с 1 (одним!!!) штампом столько времени, а ведь ещё 3 впереди)))

      powder coat is tougher, but, 2 pack is pretty tough too, perhaps more colour choice though

    I used to repair wheels, nice job sir. I work with bikes now and we always place tyre logo with the valve I also wish a tyre machine existed for bikes my hands and arms would feel better haha

    Say for instance you had aluminum wheels, and you wanted them painted all black like this, except the outer ring you were to polish very well. -- Could you paint a clearcoat over that polished part to protect them?

      Hi,Yep you certainly can just be sure to clear coat the edges well to help prevent the clear coat peeling.

      @@RRCRestoration I would say polish the outer part , tape it all off, and then paint the rest black. Then untape and clearcoat it all at once?

    What was the purpose of putting on the filler? It could have just been sanded. Some of the filler got into the gab and then it looked inconsistent.

      Its the only way to smooth out the rust pits without structurally weakening the wheel by grinding it down.

    After you wet sand the primer, which product or chemical do you use to clean the dust off? Before applying base coat.
