Hi mate , Just like to say thanks for inspiring me to start my own firm, been apart of a tree crew for 7 years and finally took the plunge thanks to your videos. Keep up the good work hope it gets warmer for us all soon 👍
That feeling when you go to quote a job, don't want to do it, so you put in a ridiculous figure, but get it. Made up that £300 is coming in but hate the fact you're going to be sore the next day. My average is about £150 a day but that's going out at 10 and back at 4. It's enough for me and I don't flog myself to death. I pick and chose my jobs. And all my customers that want weekly or two weekly are great. Great honest video, something which is lacking in most vids. Hope you pick up some easy money earners and get that Mercedes!
Thank you for sharing. I am fixed by hourly rate because I find it fair for both client and myself. I don’t do trees or cut more than 5 feet hedges. All my customers have their own designated bins because I’d not take waste either.
Hi Adam I do grass hedges weeding patio cleaning I’ve started doing small tree work and massive hedge reductions great fun I also did two turfing jobs last year and it wasn’t as scary as I expected Fencing I would avoid tho 😂 Nice little chat mate
Cheers. Never done turfing myself but this new house we've moved into is gravel and paving out back so that will be getting turfed at some point. Any tips or things you learnt from the first time you did it?
@@TheGreyGardener1990 I remember doing it with my dad years ago. One thing I remember is to make sure the joins are pushed tight together otherwise you could end up with a gap in the joins after they settle. And the obvious one is don't let turf dry out!

I have always saved up for winter, at first it was for a van, now its for weather and low work, I think many underestimate how winter can impact a gardening business. and youtube and social media can put a false perspective on things, and you start asking why they are doing well and your not.
Exactly mate. I've always been transparent on here regarding my income over the winter. It's not an easy time at all as you say and if you aren't chocka block over the spring summer and autumn, you're probably going to really struggle when winter arrives

In Limerick Ireland the min rate would be 250 plus vat per day per min on an hourly and priced work you’d want 300 per man per day minimum also
300 euros per man a day, how much of a cut does the business take from that ?
