tried the game and i honestly feel it would actually be better without the umbral world. wasn't a big fan of it, like the idea but just can't get into it.
Exactly what I was thinking. To be honest that's the first thing I thought when I was watching a playthrough on youtube. All these souls like lay down the foundations pretty good but add one thing that will ruin the whole thing. One reason I haven't tried any of these souls like yet.
The game was good just need a map and end boss should be changed also overcomplication should be fixed like u can use boss weopn ability but you have to do quist before you beat that boss this is total shit
I like Lords but..... I hate the reaper I killed it multiple times and I still hate him. Another thing what I don't like no jump no backstabbing and no counter attack. I don't mind that weapons don't have those specific moves.
They have done a lot on bugs and performance as I can see from the patch notes. At least now the inventory capacity no longer causes bugs. Of course there will always be more to fix but I think this game is playable now.
tried it, and it`s bad, horrible design, bad UI, bad optimization, bad combat, the only good thing is the umbral mechanic and the music and voice acting, rest is just low budget stuff, you are better of replaying elden ring and waiting for the dlc, this one is a stinker.

Dark souls has many critics but when it comes to the actual game I haven't seen anyone coming up with any sensical arguments about it. Except for DS2. You know shit is bad when it has even divided the opinion of the community.

@@MIKEU52 every single thing you said, is applicable to elden ring as well you're aware? How many weapons are copy paste very few unique movesets, fromsoft reused more assets than a pokemon game.
I tried it yesterday still having noticeable performance issues can't play with stutters may be in future if it fixed
With that price i rather save my money for the Elden Ring DLC
That does make sense if you have to choose from the two. Souls-like can never beat the true FS souls.

The right fix is refund.

You can jump and although there is no 'specific' back stab animation, hitting enemies from behind is very useful in this game
Weird question, you should never play that game, same as Starfield and Dianlo 4. There I saved you money.
I recently purchased this on steam and gave it about 10 hours and it’s not fun. Just play nioh or Elden ring.
