I’ve seen a lot about this games I’m a dark souls vet my main gripe is seeing a lot of visual bugs when watching gameplay are npc models really that bad or is it a bug they seem almost wax like
My problem with lotf in its current form is the balancing of the bosses. Some bosses are still laughably easy while some are next to impossible to beat and once you get past the first 3rd of the game every area has like 2 or 3 major bosses where the wonky balancing can really throw you for a loop
I love this game too I’ve currently got about 150 hours in it and there is still stuff I want to do I’ve respec’d my character three times to try out different builds this game is awesome thank you for a positive review everyone I tell how awesome this game is go straight to the negative reviews which is too bad if I could change one thing it would be for more people to play this game because getting multiplayer going takes a long time I think it’s because there just isn’t that many people playing which is a shame
NG+0 saved this game for me. I reject calls for an easy mode in Souls games but I have to eat crow and recognize that LOTF is just too brutal at times. Definitely a skill issue on my part but I also believe that the balancing is off in a big way. Im now able to engage with the game and it's a freaking riot. Its still challenging, which I like, but now I can actually fight enemies and clear out areas rather than run through certain sections. If the developers fine tune the balance, the sequel could be a legit masterpiece.
Still a really fun game for your first playthrough. Had a lot of crashes on PC with 7900 XT. But overall it looked good and when it was running well I was getting around 120 fps in 1440p. Kinda gave me DS2 vibes with the enemy spam. I was also a little underwhelmed with the enemy variety. Went with a Strength/Faith build and decimated most of the bosses in 1-2 tries. I started NG+ and a fresh character after beating it and got tired of it. I liked Lies of P a lot better but LOTF definitely redeemed themselves from the first game. Hope they can keep making more games. I love the ranged system compared to Fromsoft.
I’m a giant souls fan boy and I love this game people hate on it for no reason. The game is gorgeous,challenging and fun. After 4 runs through Elden ring I decided to give LOTF a try and I’m super happy I did I’m about 20 hours in and I’m looking forward to doing NGP
I really enjoyed the game up to The mine area, afterwards I didn’t feel like I was having fun with it anymore, mostly because it has too many tough enemies in one area making it hell if you have to keep making a run back after dying. Kinda like the area leading up to Simon Manus in Lies of P I did have frame rate and graphic issues but that didn’t really bother me much, and the stutters were never so bad that it messed up the experience for me.
if anything the game is too easy u do realize u are basically immortal as long as u make it to a statue to get back to axiom to the point i only rly use healing in bossfights

the game is great, i would reccomend getting it on a sale though, more enemy types are needed and the final area seems rushed, would love to see that area in more depth, most bosses were easy-ish but apparently that has been fixed
I was so anticipating this game and so disappointed when it finally was there. I tried it out on three different occasions and just had absolutely no fun. Especially the awkward rolls threw me of the ledge kn pilgrims perch so often. But last month I gave it one more try. Now I am hooked, have over 160 hours, and while there are still technical issues on my XBox series X, the game is now all fun. I have two playthroughs on a big bonk build with Gregory’s sword and recently started my 2nd run with another character with the Lightreaper daggers with the special weapon art and I’ve never played a more powerful build in any souls or soulslike game. Absolutely amazing. I also like the level design, the graphics are amazing (except for the mentioned technical issues like massive frame drops), but the most important part is, how the fighting feels and this is,were this game is a 10/10 for me. I love the gameplay and fight mechanics and while Lies of P still is my favorite non FromSoft game, this surprisingly (even for me) now comes on second. So glad, that I gave it another chance.
I think lords of the fallen graphically looks better then fromsoft games. Fromsoft has a vey unique style which i love. But lords is grim and horrific and also extremely detailed

@@MasterMarcos haha yes indeed. Lords of the fallen has a very unique style that you cant really get anywhere else. That is probably why i like it. It has problems that i cant deny, but so do many other games i enjoy. Nothing is perfect. Have fun on your playthrough mate. Its a hell of a visual journey for sure.

I enjoyed the game, I have around 150 hours into it and will play again. But it does have issues and all those negative comments and reviews are not wrong, however they aren't deal breakers for some of us. 62% of recent reviews are positive and that's pretty bad, but if you take away all of the reviews about PvP and co-op, then that will probably go up to a much more favorable number. Most of my gripes are the same as everyone else's: - Terrible lock on - Overuse of ambushes and traps - Lack of mob variety - Blah blah ranged mobs etc... Those can be overlooked however what really pissed me off recently was being locked out of the Umbral ending right near the end rendering all of the hours I'd put into that run completely pointless. I feel that its just far to easy to lock yourself out of an ending or an NPC quest line. As an example I took me 4 goes to meet Winterbury because once you defeat the skin stealer boss you are presented with a key to an elevator and if you go up then you lock yourself out of meeting her and finishing Byron's quest chain. That key should be given to you somewhere in the depths so that you are forced to at least go down for a while and not take the obvious path (the elevator right in your face) right then and there. This, in my opinion, is poor game design and I'd bet its a popular opinion. As for performance, I played on PS5 as well and it was mostly fine, a lot of crashing early on but they fixed that. The corrupted save files that the PC guys endured was inexcusable though, having to manually back up your save file is not ok. Overall I enjoyed the game and would recommend any souls fan try it. For me it ranks equal to DS2 and Demon's Souls but well below Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring. I'll go back and get the Umbral ending at some point but for now I am playing other games.
I'm really enjoying it. Probably 10 hours in. The dual world system gives me soul Reaver nostalgia. I've found the combat to be fine. With the lore, hidden paths and level design all great. I don't think it's as good as Lies of P but it's definitely a game a souls fan should sink there teeth into.
i think lies of p is the worst soulslike out there extremely linear uninspired and creatively bankrupt as well as the combat being a boring parry simulator
This game looks pretty freakin’ hardcore! I love how fast, flashy, and intense it looks. Can’t be more janky than Mortal Shell (I really tried to like that game, maybe one day…). I’m just waiting for the next sale and any major bugs to get fixed.
@@MasterMarcos if you enjoy brutal challenges and don’t have high blood pressure, it is fantastic. I worked on Sekiro, for months before giving up for a bit. Now that I’ve mastered it, the game is still pretty challenging but more balanced. There’s no way around mastering the combat. It has perfectly implemented stealth too.
I actually enjoyed it. Bought it couple months after the lunch, not many issues, and none game breaking. Combat is cool and dynamic, not too challenging (but I like too be op:) Spell casting while limited to max 5 spells works way better then in Elden. The two parallel worlds could have more differences between them but still cool to explore. After Bloodborne and Elden Ring 3rd soulslike that I really enjoyed.
Wanted to like it. Never finished. Just felt a little jank. In terms of 3rd person control, I consider a game like RDR2 to be a terrible experience, great game but if you push your stick to the left, your character will take five steps in a circle to face the other direction. A game like Elden ring has your character just rotate in place to the left. This game falls somewhere between those two which makes for a weird feel.
Like LOTF, I had a rough launch. I picked it up again 2 weeks ago and loved it, one of the most fun I've had with a game in a while. I grew up playing SNES games like Castlevania, LOTF brought me back to that feeling. Amazing dark and evil world, umbria game me such a feeling on anxiety and loved it. Thaks for such a great positive when negativity gets clicks.

Yes amazing game. Lag and stuttered framerates are real in certain arreas, on series X at least. Both that and anemic matchmaking are the obvious issues so far. But it's by FAR the best non From Souls-like ever made imo, when you factor in all the things that make a souls game special (if not a bit too inspired by..) The idea that Lies of P is better experience by any souls fan is kinda shocking. Performance on that game is flawless though. But theres more than perfect framerate to a souls game! Still should be fixed tho lol
@@MasterMarcos it's not game breaking just annoying in parts. Kind of like a handful (so far) of mini Blightowns (!) in random sections the devs haven't ironed out.yet. I assume the parallel worlds is quite the technical beast
I bought game during the holiday season and just started playing it about 4 weeks ago and I’m enjoying it. I’m playing on ps5. So far not issues. It’s not better than Lies of p but it’s a solid souls like game. I really like the whole Umbral world mechanic. The combat is decent. I think the lock on mechanic needs work for sure but otherwise been enjoying it. 7/10 for me.

The only way I can explain this game is like eating stale mozzarella sticks… you know if you warm it up and have fresh cheese you’re going to enjoy it more (other souls game in this case). But you also just want to eat your cheese sticks and endure the staleness of sticks.. and it’s still enjoyable and the same thing in the end. (In this case it still being a decent souls like game) … ;)
Those were one hell of good stale mozzarella sticks then my brother I enjoyed them a lot lol I guess your saying I have bad taste, I think this mozzarella sticks were warm fresh new and had marinada on the side
Agree with you, this game has potential, its umbral world, the end zone, the three finales, the design, are all great. What I didn't like is that my framerate is very inconsistent, but with my same PC I could play Lies of P at 144 fps at QHD resolution, also the bosses are too easy except for Pieta and the Hushed Saint, so they need more tuning. Another flaw is the level design, good but not as great as Fromsoftware, in 2024 we the players expect more secrets, more hidden optional areas, something that gives a feeling of accomplishment. Other than this a great game, I put it on the same level of Lies of P for different reasons.
for me its a 10/10 just because there is not fps cap . main reasson i dont play elden ring is because it has a 60 fps cap with a a mod that can uncap the fps but u cant use it for pvp so i skiped elden totaly and sink all my teeth into TLotF and i love it
This game certainly falls short in many ways, that being said I kinda prefer it over elden meme. Edit your either a liar or just half blind if you can't see the framerate issues on ps5.
@@MasterMarcosBro litterly everyone had the framerate issues on every platform even on high end PCS, on launch it was litterly unplayable on both PlayStation and Xbox. It's certainly gotten alot better after the 30 something patches ??? Also you need to address the co-op and pvp problems 😂😅

@@JohnDoe-pu5gkor how about this, they may not have experienced frame rate issues. I played on PC a couple days after launch, a few friends who have better rigs than me were getting 2-3 fps, after updating drivers i was getting a stable 70-80
1st- on ps5 there ARE ALSO fps drops especially when transiting to umbral (before you say something my ps5 is 3 months old and works perfectly fine with any other of the games that came out in the last 6 months) , and 2nd - the game is bad on many different levels and will never reach the popularity and greatness of From Soft games , the levels are unnecessary confusing, while the bosses are stupidly easy , I literally passed the ENTIRE game with only enchanced throwing hammer and rings synergising with it , no trouble AT ALL , I was not challenged by the fights but by the level designs😂 after the 1st playthrough and getting the corrupted spear throwable or whatever it was from the Judge Cleric , the 2nd and 3rd playthroughs were even easier 😂 Im sorry but the game is disappointing when it comes to difficulty of skill , yeah sure the graphics are nice the lore is meh but all in all a 5 out of 10 😢
Well there are multiple ways to play a game if throwing axes and rings is in your interest by all means I’m more of a melee type player and I found the difficulty to be just, Elden ring has some unfair bosses with questionable hit boxes and questionable times to parry, just because you decided to cheese the game doesn’t mean it’s not fun nonetheless/ the graphics are amazing the lore it’s pretty decent the gameplay is fun, you haven’t disagreed on anything else besides the frame rates sure it may happen to you maybe your connection is weak or your playing online pvp I don’t play pvp/. Either or I have an amazing time playing this game
@@MasterMarcos I said throwing hammer not axes , and also Elden ring and other FS games are better because you actually CANT cheese all the bosses with one measely throwable , there are no qestionable hitboxes in ER or other FS games , there are only people who dont know how to dodge or parry , I feel sad that over the years people are so happy with knock offs like Lords of the Fallen , just because its MUCH easier than other souls like games , hell you even have a second life :D Also I have no weak connection the FPS drops occured in offline mode too every time you transit to umbral , they fixed that after a few weeks but in the first days it was bad af, but if you have had fun with it then great job keep it up, its your money and your time , Im just sad that I wasted some time on it because I made the stupid mistake of pre ordering which I wont do again xD

I didn’t experience any issues in terms of graphics in my performance gameplay what did I say in the video I don’t degrade anybody’s experience, but in my PERSONAL experience I did not find this issues, or had a major bug or glitch
It's way better than Elden ring. The dark souls interconnected world died when they went open world. Im happy for a densely interconnected more linear world. And have you played dark souls or Elden ring, some of the glitchiest games on the market. I've just fallen through the ground in Elden ring... Lol I love LOTF. The story/lore isn't as hard to access and understand as DS which I love. The Devs are super responsive to fans for changes as well which is amazing unlike fromsoft. I think once it's polished in a few more patches will be banging. Combat is way faster and slicker than ER too.

Mediocre game. I played it on 2 characters both lvl 200 + , around 270 hours. Visual bugs, framerate issues (ps5), hitboxes not registering properly, limited build variations, horrible pvp experience (the lag is hilarious), washed out graphics (playing it on my 165 cm Sony Bravia OLED 2023 model), would have expected more from a game made in UE5. Overall a 6/10.

I play it now and I like it. Obviously the asset’s quality isn’t the same as FromSoftware’s games but it’s still good game.

This game looks pretty freakin’ hardcore! I love how fast, flashy, and intense it looks. Can’t be more janky than Mortal Shell (I really tried to like that game, maybe one day…).

@@MasterMarcos if you enjoy brutal challenges and don’t have high blood pressure, it is fantastic. I worked on Sekiro, for months before giving up for a bit. Now that I’ve mastered it, the game is still pretty challenging but more balanced. There’s no way around mastering the combat. It has perfectly implemented stealth too.

I actually enjoyed it.
Bought it couple months after the lunch, not many issues, and none game breaking.
Combat is cool and dynamic, not too challenging (but I like too be op:)
Spell casting while limited to max 5 spells works way better then in Elden.
The two parallel worlds could have more differences between them but still cool to explore.
After Bloodborne and Elden Ring 3rd soulslike that I really enjoyed.

In terms of 3rd person control, I consider a game like RDR2 to be a terrible experience, great game but if you push your stick to the left, your character will take five steps in a circle to face the other direction.
A game like Elden ring has your character just rotate in place to the left.
This game falls somewhere between those two which makes for a weird feel.

Like LOTF, I had a rough launch. I picked it up again 2 weeks ago and loved it, one of the most fun I've had with a game in a while. I grew up playing SNES games like Castlevania, LOTF brought me back to that feeling. Amazing dark and evil world, umbria game me such a feeling on anxiety and loved it. Thaks for such a great positive when negativity gets clicks.

Yes amazing game. Lag and stuttered framerates are real in certain arreas, on series X at least. Both that and anemic matchmaking are the obvious issues so far. But it's by FAR the best non From Souls-like ever made imo, when you factor in all the things that make a souls game special (if not a bit too inspired by..) The idea that Lies of P is better experience by any souls fan is kinda shocking. Performance on that game is flawless though. But theres more than perfect framerate to a souls game! Still should be fixed tho lol

@@MasterMarcos it's not game breaking just annoying in parts. Kind of like a handful (so far) of mini Blightowns (!) in random sections the devs haven't ironed out.yet. I assume the parallel worlds is quite the technical beast
I bought game during the holiday season and just started playing it about 4 weeks ago and I’m enjoying it. I’m playing on ps5. So far not issues. It’s not better than Lies of p but it’s a solid souls like game. I really like the whole Umbral world mechanic. The combat is decent. I think the lock on mechanic needs work for sure but otherwise been enjoying it. 7/10 for me.

There are exceptions, but pandering is very real and company's in entertainment are getting worse and worse because they are beholden to the big investors that require ESG and DEI pandering unordered to push cultural shifts. This garbage would be a 5/10 if there were no performance issues. With the issues, it’s lucky to be a 1/10. DS2 and ER had nowhere near the issue this dumpster fire has.

The only way I can explain this game is like eating stale mozzarella sticks… you know if you warm it up and have fresh cheese you’re going to enjoy it more (other souls game in this case). But you also just want to eat your cheese sticks and endure the staleness of sticks.. and it’s still enjoyable and the same thing in the end. (In this case it still being a decent souls like game) … ;)
Those were one hell of good stale mozzarella sticks then my brother I enjoyed them a lot lol I guess your saying I have bad taste, I think this mozzarella sticks were warm fresh new and had marinada on the side

Agree with you, this game has potential, its umbral world, the end zone, the three finales, the design, are all great. What I didn't like is that my framerate is very inconsistent, but with my same PC I could play Lies of P at 144 fps at QHD resolution, also the bosses are too easy except for Pieta and the Hushed Saint, so they need more tuning. Another flaw is the level design, good but not as great as Fromsoftware, in 2024 we the players expect more secrets, more hidden optional areas, something that gives a feeling of accomplishment. Other than this a great game, I put it on the same level of Lies of P for different reasons.

for me its a 10/10 just because there is not fps cap . main reasson i dont play elden ring is because it has a 60 fps cap with a a mod that can uncap the fps but u cant use it for pvp so i skiped elden totaly and sink all my teeth into TLotF and i love it

@@MasterMarcosBro litterly everyone had the framerate issues on every platform even on high end PCS, on launch it was litterly unplayable on both PlayStation and Xbox. It's certainly gotten alot better after the 30 something patches ??? Also you need to address the co-op and pvp problems 😂😅

I played on PC a couple days after launch, a few friends who have better rigs than me were getting 2-3 fps, after updating drivers i was getting a stable 70-80
1st- on ps5 there ARE ALSO fps drops especially when transiting to umbral (before you say something my ps5 is 3 months old and works perfectly fine with any other of the games that came out in the last 6 months) , and 2nd - the game is bad on many different levels and will never reach the popularity and greatness of From Soft games , the levels are unnecessary confusing, while the bosses are stupidly easy , I literally passed the ENTIRE game with only enchanced throwing hammer and rings synergising with it , no trouble AT ALL , I was not challenged by the fights but by the level designs😂 after the 1st playthrough and getting the corrupted spear throwable or whatever it was from the Judge Cleric , the 2nd and 3rd playthroughs were even easier 😂 Im sorry but the game is disappointing when it comes to difficulty of skill , yeah sure the graphics are nice the lore is meh but all in all a 5 out of 10 😢
Well there are multiple ways to play a game if throwing axes and rings is in your interest by all means I’m more of a melee type player and I found the difficulty to be just, Elden ring has some unfair bosses with questionable hit boxes and questionable times to parry, just because you decided to cheese the game doesn’t mean it’s not fun nonetheless/ the graphics are amazing the lore it’s pretty decent the gameplay is fun, you haven’t disagreed on anything else besides the frame rates sure it may happen to you maybe your connection is weak or your playing online pvp I don’t play pvp/. Either or I have an amazing time playing this game
@@MasterMarcos I said throwing hammer not axes , and also Elden ring and other FS games are better because you actually CANT cheese all the bosses with one measely throwable , there are no qestionable hitboxes in ER or other FS games , there are only people who dont know how to dodge or parry , I feel sad that over the years people are so happy with knock offs like Lords of the Fallen , just because its MUCH easier than other souls like games , hell you even have a second life :D Also I have no weak connection the FPS drops occured in offline mode too every time you transit to umbral , they fixed that after a few weeks but in the first days it was bad af, but if you have had fun with it then great job keep it up, its your money and your time , Im just sad that I wasted some time on it because I made the stupid mistake of pre ordering which I wont do again xD

I didn’t experience any issues in terms of graphics in my performance gameplay what did I say in the video I don’t degrade anybody’s experience, but in my PERSONAL experience I did not find this issues, or had a major bug or glitch

It's way better than Elden ring. The dark souls interconnected world died when they went open world. Im happy for a densely interconnected more linear world. And have you played dark souls or Elden ring, some of the glitchiest games on the market. I've just fallen through the ground in Elden ring... Lol I love LOTF. The story/lore isn't as hard to access and understand as DS which I love. The Devs are super responsive to fans for changes as well which is amazing unlike fromsoft. I think once it's polished in a few more patches will be banging. Combat is way faster and slicker than ER too.

Mediocre game. I played it on 2 characters both lvl 200 + , around 270 hours. Visual bugs, framerate issues (ps5), hitboxes not registering properly, limited build variations, horrible pvp experience (the lag is hilarious), washed out graphics (playing it on my 165 cm Sony Bravia OLED 2023 model), would have expected more from a game made in UE5. Overall a 6/10.
