Hey Paul! I think there is a good TF2 video you have not watched yet: Spy Psychology - How To Disguise. It is a very good guide for both playing as Spy and against spy, not too long, and def worth your time!
On Mass, if you're planning to take hits for the team, make sure you're in a ship that can take hits. Cruisers can be citadel' d pretty easy, 1-2 AP salvo from BB, a few more AP salvos from other cruisers. Your Des Moines is a fragile gunboat, good for tearing up a destroyer with HE rapid fire, that and setting fires on Battleships. Very few Cruisers can trade as much damage as you were planning.

That was kinda good, but the tactics lack game sense, for example if you're just gonna go for objectives and wanna avoid combat if unnecessary, you should definitely go for a much faster and smaller ship. That way if you're being spotted, you can just immediately retreat and be hard to hit.

Des Moines is an area denial ship.
You support your destroyers by getting close to a cap so your 10km radar can spot enemy dds.
You usually nestle up next to an island for coverage and nose into expected enemies.
Your AP is a serious damage dealer to broadside ships.
She is not an open water ship.
Stop shooting to go dark and reposition.
You should use your heal.

You could try it with AWBW, short for Advance Wars By Web. It's a port from a series of games called Advance Wars from Nintendo for the browser to play online with others. There is only a small community surrounding it so it might not be great to grow an audience with it but having your input would be great and I think the community would be very welcoming. If you do give it a try I would recommend you to check some of the beginner guides around YT as it can get quite complex if you go in blind. Almost forgot to say what the game is about, so in some basic way it's a turn based game where you control and build infantry, tanks, helicopters, artillery and many other units to compete for cities, territory control and one of the game ending moves the enemy HQ to say the least.

(Also yes, tactics and teamplay are most OP weapon in nigh any game)
-Playing the objective (yells every sniper with 30/1 K/D and not doing jack)
-Following and helping the guy that seems clever (the one thst is flanking/trying to sneak trough/ knows a good position noone takes)
-Being the "clever one" trying to flank, sneak and get to a good unused position (problem being that enemy rushing thier objective will get to it much quicker than you flanking, and you can alway have bad luck and run in to enemy's barrel
-Rush B blyeat (ah, the classic), key to out rushing your enemy is... denying him stuff while making sure your guys have a clear B line: snipers, artilery, nades, flank fire: anything that will slow them down
-Support guy: less of a tactic and more of a mindset; of a guy that concentrates on trying for as much of your team to stay alive: by healing them, taking out strongpoints, snipers and artilery

I would also say that by no means is a cruiser a jack of all trades, some are very niche in their roles...
I have been playing world of warships since day one . Hitting an island is sometimes considered a tactical Beach 😂
The misidentification of ship types in this video is on par with a Jingles video, and I'm not against that
props to you for playing des moines some what realistically, it is simply unfortunate that wows is not realistic
If you want Objectives and maneuver, try Destroyers... it's hard to win without effective destroyer players angling objectives and spotting for the larger guns.
If another cruiser is broadside to you, use AP. Des Moines will kill cruisers QUICK if they make that mistake. It's the reason you lost that first battle.
Tactics or rather taking the initiative can work, the issue is players.
For your using real tactics experiment to work you need to wrangle a couple of vets to play with you since those tactics only work if everyone is cooperating and on the same page. Of course that is easier said than done.
Crossfires are brutal in WoWs, avoiding them in "ANY SHIP" is important to your survival, and doing it to enemy, better then 'not' doing it.
Simple plan, just not as simple to execute xD

Does it matter in most situations? No.
Just stay covered or angled or just full speed dodge while running away in manuverable ship is what people usually do, it takes time and knowladge,

Definitely using the wrong shell type here. Should use AP when ships are broadside or close in Des Moines. All your tactics would have worked fine if you had more experience in the game.

I'm a regular viewer of your Ukraine videos, was *not* expecting to see you playing Warships. All of your tactics are valid, but wet combat has some different nuances than ground warfare. And WoWs has some unique quirks all of its own.
I enjoyed the memes as a comedy break. Very RussianBadger-esque and I'm into it 👍
Unfortunately for games like World of Warships (or other WG titles), real world tactics dont do too well. Manly due to how the game mechanics work. For example in real world, you want to turn your ship to bring all guns to bare, in the game, you want to expose the least amount of your broadside since a well placed Armor Piercing shot (like in your 2nd match) will quickly devastate you. Instead, understanding the strengths and weaknesses, as well as the role of your ship determines your tactics in the end. But some real world tactics do work, such as staying in groups, concentrating your fire on one enemy at a time, and maneuvering and angling your vessel to avoid and bounce incoming fire. So its a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to realistic tactics and gameplay tactics.
35B always use cover when you can, Don't yolo. Military tactics really won't work because your team is not with you on the tactics. It will work in Clan wars. Remember most are for me me me and I I I. I have played WoT, tier 1 to tier 9and WoT tier 1 to tier 10.

It doesn't feel like you really gave the more complicated strategies a chance. Match making can often put together teams that are so lopsided it's not even worth fighting. Needed more even skilled teams to really see how the strats worked

In these games you basically never want to be the first one spotted or firing.
