I always figured that when the Strawhats got to Laughtale, they would find out the truth of the world (void century, Im...). That truth, then, would send them to Mariejois

What if Dragon’s Revolution succeeds and Akainu and all the Marines that believe their revolution and their decisions are a mistake and effectively become pirates as the marines would now serve a different government ? It would kind of bring Akainu’s character full circle and he’d be the very thing he sought to destroy because of his flawed idea of absolute Justice and by the time he gets defeated by Sabo/Garp/Luffy/Coby/Aokiji or whoever his ideals are completely broken

Here's my theory: The next 'great cleansing' might just include most of the Tenyuribito.
They're basically a propaganda piece, so a population of them has to survive and can in fact become quite useful as seen with the 5 elder stars, but most of them are probably just massive drains on the budget and public perception. The stars seem pretty reasonable, I mean they were willing to hear out Clover up until he tried name-dropping one of the biggest secrets of the void century, but the rest are inbred layabouts. What if Im wants Vivi because, while the Alabastan royal family has probably "married down" rank wise here and there, they're genetically more stable than the rest of the descendants of the 20 by now?

@@wonder777warrior6 Yeah. If he really is eventually revealed to be the Machiavellan schemer type it'd be neat if he balanced the need for the "image" of the Tenyuribito with their actual cost. Maybe decide to cull enough of the most excessive of them through an "accident" that the rest shape up.
Not to diminish him, but what if Fisher Tiger's raid was one such event? It's entirely possible that the security of Mariejois was just nil before then because it was inconceivable anyone would attack it, but between CP-0 and the nearby Marine HQ's looking back it doesn't make much sense that he caused so much damage when he got beaten by a vice-admiral. Could've been someone higher up in the chain of command "conveniently" moving out the guard when it happened.
well, you kind of forgot about the marines like the iron fleet, as soon as akainu hears that Maryjoise is under attack and those attackers is dragon and Luffy he would bring out his inner officer earl and make a beeline to the nearest red port as well as most of the marines that participated in the summit war. plus, we still have no green bull.
IM could be a reference to Tang Sanzang the immortal monk from Journey to the West. Also Jadis from the Chronicles of Narnia in terms of design. IM could be a reference to Yimir the giant from which every creature came from and was neither male or female from Norse folklore.
and i feel like my theory on the mythical logia fruit: ethereal would be the perfect fit for such an occasion and how he was able to elude everyone.

@@zaczeen1121 Oda likes to manifest legends and stories into his story so it's not farfetched that he wouldn't. like when pinocchio was swallowed by a whale, or BM's whole cake island being like alice in wonderland like. skypeia definitely has some lore that he probably read somewhere. the top of the grandline definitely has its mount of olympus vibes where the gods dwell. luffy having the name monkey in his full name and wanting to be king of something, monkey king? definitely has its roots in chinese mythology. oh and we got the noah. there is so much more

IMO, if Dragon succeeded, Child Celestial Dragons would probably just either be sent off to orphanages around the world and evidence of their existence prior to that destroyed, older ones would be locked up and left to rot, and the teens would be placed on watch to either rot or be sent off.

to counter your point about the revolution coming before the finding of the one piece: whitebeard said it would be the discovery of the one piece that flipped the world on its head. i think it’s heavily implied that the info at laugh tale or luffys reaction to laugh tale will be the direct trigger for the whatever conflict destroys the current system and “turns the world on its head”. i feel narratively dragons revolution would be the obvious choice for that final conflict post-laugh tale or at least luffy will find himself an unlikely ally to that conflict for his own reasons and be the reason it succeeds.

On this occasion I want to share a theory about the Redline and the New World. There is a Military.
Meta reason: To be honest, at this point, especialy after defeating Yoknous... the WG doesnt look that scary. Three/four admirals are ok. But not.. menacing.
So Another group of strong characters-and a surprising group at that seems reasonable.
In Story Evidence-
Motivation- it doesnt look like the Gorosei respect nor trust the Marines too much. Especialy with Sword and probelmatic Marines like Garp, Smoker, Coby, Fujitora, Aokiji
They must have a force they trust more.
The soldiers at the Excuation of Roger and Ace- they have *green* uniform and helmets of generic military.
Who are they? I say, they are the MILITARY. Land force, and they are raised on Grandline,have nationalistic personal loyaltly, unlike the Marines who are random bunch of people from all over the world.
They might as top tiers, trio of Generals and a Field Marshal.
Themaitcly it will also fit-
Giant pirate fleet+good aligned Marines againt the military.
Sea Vs Land
Also in Chapter 1 it claimed that bandits and pirates are the worst enemies- I think it's a set up for Pirates+good marines agaisnt the Land Military
Sentomaru has talked about the PX robots multiple times how can you be so ignorant.
It is much more likely that the government is relying on those robots and chemical weapons than "random loguetown guard guys who stabbed roger wearing a weird army hat = secret military confirmed"

They have marines stationed both at Loguetown and Marineford.
Why cant marines do that?

If it was only chapter 1, and Oda sill getting the hang of his worldbuilding is one thing- but he use this specfic design at Marineford.
Also. I think there HAVE to be a middle class in Mariyoja- for examole Charlos talking about getting another wife- a random citizen girl.
What would be the status of their children? Would they be slaves? Children of a Celestial Dragons as slaves?? No.
A Celestial Dragon? No.
The guards at Marijoa- wouldnt it fit if they were middle class Redliners?
Someone like Spandam- has similiar design to inbred Celestial Dragon and even an attitude. Of course he isnt.

I feel like I should mention that there _is_ a Coast Guard which may deal with bandits on land, but it's uncertain if it's an official World Government force or just a separate island/nation-specific faction (the likes of which do exist), as (IIRC) we only ever got a mention of it in a piece of supplementary material relating to a single place. (Specifically it was on Dadan's wanted poster, and Dadan is just a bandit based in Luffy's hometown.)

One person who I think could prove invaluable here as a forward scout of sorts is Carrot. She has insane eyesight (without having any Observation that we know of), can easily reach very high places such as the roofs of tall buildings by jumping without causing a racket like Luffy would getting to the top. Not to mention she's a viable candidate for the crew as well (at this point I'm expecting Yamato but if we get both I'll be extremely happy)

I know we're keeping this relatively simple with regards to who is involved because this is already a long series, but I can't help but think about what could happen if some more allies, let alone possibly the grand fleet, joined Luffy in this assault. Specifically, Law would be amazing on the infiltration team (think of just the travel potential from combining usage of the crow fruit with Law's), and Kidd's reputation alone would be immensely helpful on the assault team. Sure, we the readers know Kidd has been disappointing, but in the WG's eyes, his bounty was inflated specifically because he doesn't care about collateral damage and deaths. Imagine the potential panic when said reputation comes knocking at the front door of the "gods" of the OP world.

I feel like the way the WG would be brought down and the Revolutionaries would win by exposing the existence of Im as there is no way the countries that are apart of the WG would be happy that there was a secret leader controlling the Gorosei and the world.
When Dragon's Revolution happens depends entirely on what the One Piece is. Discovering the One Piece could easily lead to the need to confront the World Government. I really don't see the confrontation with Imu happening until the Straw Hats know the true history of the world. Which you supposedly learn when you find the One Piece. And it may be learning that history that inspires Laffy with the burning desire to take down the World Government.
I can also see the logic behind the Revolution occurring before finding the One Piece though. As such, I really think what happens first depends entirely on what the One Piece is. And the only person who knows that is Oda. Leaving us with two equally plausible scenarios for what happens after Wano.

I think the One Piece will somehow inform the Strawhats about the threat of the world government. However I'm with you on that it'd be anticlimactic, especially because I think the bigger threat is Blackbeard, even more so than Im.

Gonna be difficult to give Luffy a hard (1v1) fight now that he's capable of at least going toe-to-toe against Kaido. The CP0 members would either have to be really tricky or each be stronger than Katakuri, which I personally would find difficult to believe.

Seeing the celestial dragons' insignia slowly burning away in the thumbnails is a pretty cool detail
My take on it is that (do correct me if it was stated otherwise in the manga though for the things that we already know) :
- Dragon doesn't want to destroy/kill the tenryubito, he wants to destroy/kill the tenryubito system. So he just wants to abolish the fact that some people are considered deity and can do whatever they want. He basically will make them under the law as well. Which would slowly but surely integrate them in normal society, or at least create a village or town for the ones that can be reformed in the "lower realm" and throw the ones that are too far gone/can't be reformed/refuse to reform in some sort of prison somewhere. That is also my take on Imu and the gorosei, they don't need to be killed, they can just be defeated and thrown somewhere were they can't harm anyone anymore; kinda like the lv6 of impel down where they would be forgotten.
-I also am one to think that the final enemy of the strawhat is gonna be the world government/Imu instead of the Blackbeard crew in order to finish joyboy's business during the void century. And the big final battle that will engulf the world after the strawhat find the one piece as Newgate said would be against Imu and the world government. Wether it'll be in Laugh Tale where the government goes there to stop the resurgence of a potential new "joyboy" in Luffy or it'll be in Mariejoie where the strawhat go there after learning about the void century and all that; I don't know but I just think they'll do it at the end instead of before Laugh Tale .

I have a theory, I took the imu being a ghost thing literally. What if, the founding kings’ will was so powerful, that their will can survive after death, and imu was a fusion of all of the kings’ wills to have the world government survive to become the strongest government of all time, and imu being a concentrated form of that will, made that happen

My theory about Im-sama's interest in Vivi is that he was in love with an ancestor of hers that looked alot like her. However he scared away her in his quest to rule the world which is why her family chose not to become Celestial Dragons.
Honestly looking at Im that seems highly unlikely he/she doesn’t seem like there interested in any kind of relationship wether it be human,mermaid,giant or any species in the one piece world to me it feels like Im is so far from having lost human emtion that there to far gone or just don’t understand human emotion to begin with you don’t exactly rule a cruel and corrupted government if you give a shit about other people or anything particular

Finding the One Piece is the end of Luffy's journey, but he'll never be completely free so long as the World Gov't is around. Luffy, as the Pirate King, and Dragon toppling the World Gov't as the final battle of One Piece feels fitting.

Isn't it funny how revolutions are often romanticised? Yet when you confront people about how bloody and cruel revolutions are, and how genuinely hard it is to build a new system that is even remotely better than the old one, people are shocked or straight in denial.
Basically I agree. After reading what happens during revolutions, especially the gritty stuff, you need a break and some ease of mind.
Excellent series! Couple thoughts. I could easily see at some point one or more of the enemies being 'offed' by another enemy of The Straw Hats. Such as the Gorosei are 'defeated' but left alive but then Im-Sama appears at some point and kills them outright for their failure. O.O Very popular thing to do by evil overlords. *nods*
Secondly, and I HIGHLY doubt this would happen but boy would it be a surprising twist. The revolution happens, but the vast majority of the Tenryubitto are still alive and are told 'look you gotta live as normal humans, you're not gods, this is just the truth' and they do at least make the most feeble attempt at this even if being forced to do so. And then a bunch of them die because those bubble helmets of theirs actually WERE protecting them from the diseases that everyone else living below the Red Line had long since developed immunity to! ^^;
Definitely won't happen, even if real life had gone differently I don't think that sort of outcome would fly well but boy would it have been a surprise! o.O
Hey tekking (first of all huge fan) and I love the stories you are trying to predict in one piece.
There’s a video on UA-cam made by someone called AgLD and this person has drawn a likely approach Oda would take (involving Blackbeard invading Toto land while big mom is distracted on wano) the video is called Blackbeard vs katakuri by the person I said earlier. If you could make a what if video responding to that situation it would be perfect. But I hope you like the video and it gave new ideas. Your awesome keep it up 👍
As for what to do with the Celestial Dragons (including the children). Leave them on a (mostly) uninhabited island with enough equipment to survive and then just sail away and leave them to it.
Sounds like a good way to make another Doflamingo that hates the world with additional survival skills

16:00 it would be so badass if Dragon was actually in Cipher Pol when he was younger and he turns out to be the guy who made Rokushiki. He would kick Rob Lucci’s ass with his own perfected techniques lol. Also, this would make for some cool lore since it would introduce Dragon to Garp (assuming he’s Garp’s son-in-law), would help fill in a lot of gaps in his story and give him motivation for why he joined the Revolutionary Army.

I don’t know about the children and good Celestial Dragons. When the ordinary folk learned about Doflamingo and his family they despised them. Even though, for all they knew, this family could still have been in contact with Mariejois, they came after them and didn’t care about wether they were bad or not. If you’re a morally good Celestial Dragon or the child of one, a swift death might be kinder than losing all your earthly possessions and be hunted and hated wherever you go.

This mind sound weird, but from a narrative perspective, having the masked members being far more powerful than the Straw Hats would be incredibly dumb. Why? Well, that means that the World Government had enough strong people to take out every single Yonko there is. Not only that, but they would also have the numbers for it. At that point you'd ask yourself why the World Government hasn't already tried swarming the Yonkos with their strongest people.
Of course they would lose numbers, before anyone makes that argument, the strongest people are what matters the most here. Like, even after taking out one Yonko, they would gain an incredible amount of influence back. One might argue then that a new Yonko would come to be, like with BB and WB. That would require the existance of another strong/yonko level pirate. There aren't an infinite amount of those, especially from what we know now.
Does that mean that the masked members shouldn't be strong? Absolutely not. They should be strong members of the marines, but the struggle with them shouldn't even compare to the struggle in the previous arc. There are so many different kinds of opponents that can be at Mary Geoise, it would just feel like a waste if it's gonna be just the masked members and Gorosei defending all of this. The Stawhats can't always punch upwards, because at some point they are at the very top. I personally think that it would be more satisfying if the Strawhat crew were actually being treated like a Yonko level threat to the world government. That's something we haven't really seen before in the story and it would certainly give a twist to all of this.
He is hyping the cp0 waaay too much. The guys at onigashima suffered against friggin X DRAKE who isn't even Yonko commander level. The cp0 may be as strong as the 1st commander of yonkos or even little bit stronger but not much more than that

I always thought that The Gorbachev gorosei is the the leader. He is the one who is always sitting when everyone else are standing in some cases. I don't think we have ever seen him standing except for when they went to meet Imu. His words alongside with samurai Gandhi's words are also more commanding type than others which makes sense since Luffy is the leader and Zoro is the 2nd in command
I am going to love the fights in this arc if we reach here.
I'm 100% of the opinion that all that happens after finding the One Piece, mainly just because I think that it's not going to be a stealthy arc, but rather the big final war of One Piece.
Iirc it was stated multiple times that after "the treasure" (i.e the One Piece) gets found, the whole world will be "turned upside down" and didn't Whitebeard even mention that there's going to be a giant war that will involve the entire world?

It would be really interesting, if there are Celestial Dragons that is higher than the Gorosei that dates back in the Void century that undergone the immortal surgery same as IM(if he/she did undergone it) or actually Cryogenically frozen in the same place where the big strawhat is placed and IM just wakes them up because of a threath, and they are strongest guard for the king of the world.
Now that you mention it, Dragon seems very Castro based.
