What would you do if you saw a freezing child?
We set up a hidden camera and placed Johannes at a bus stop, in Oslo, Norway.
The film is made to raise awareness of the situation for children in Syria, and to raise funds to SOS Children's Villages is their winter-campaign. Children in Syria are freezing and you can help by dontating.
The last dude shown "chilling" out with his T shirt's like "The cold never bothered me anyway."

Literally like 3 of them didn’t have sleeves
*i have faith in humanity now*
The last guy started shivering and somebody gave him their coat. The Norwegians are now stuck in a temperal loop of giving someone their coats
U just ruined my day
best comment of UA-cam ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
We need to send someone to break the loop
Doramamu I've come to bargain
Hahaha good one
The girl in the sleeveless still gave him her jacket the guy in the t-shirt too,
IM NOT CRYING YOU ARE!
watch that part again, she first too off her jacket then gave her sweater or something like that (which was inside her jacket) to the boy and then wore her jacket back
Ya
No matter how horrible people can be and how horrible humanity can become, there will always be kindness and kind people.
jog10210 I guess that is why the US has the highest number of vaulentary doctors, lawyers, hospitals, organizations, privately founded museums etc?
I have no love for the american corporativistic regime, but that does not reflect the attitude and personality of all its inhabitants.
jog10210 The thing with the U.S. is there is more people than in other countries there by leaving space for more douchebags, but there is most certainly kind hearted people there aswell even tho they live differently than us, never question the power of human kindness.
many may forsake it but there human kindness will always persist to exist even in the darkest of places.
Thank you for putting my faith back in Humanity
Please tell me more about how 6 - 10 people gave your faith back in humanity, which is about 7billion.

@@sumit242424 Wrong question
It's pretty sad when people get all worked up & excited about someone giving someone else a jacket. This should be apart of every day life.
Sadly ,it's not, so that's why people react when they DO see it.
I love Scandinavian countries. It's nice to see humanity and sympathy still exist somewhere in the world.
Its quite Ironic though that they used to pillage and rape neighbouring countries.
hisashi auman Hahaha
hisashi auman
.... and the rest of the world didn't?
hisashi auman Hahaha from evil Vikings to the this peaceful nation.
Renee only sweden is the most kindness people
That warms me all the way to the bottom of my soul. Such wonderful people the Norwegians are.
Not gonna lie..this got me teary. There is no point looking into all the implications from this. Politics? Nationalities? It does not matter at all. Take this as a simple act of kindness..one that is very precious and rare in our society nowadays.
this is truly amazing. people would rather be cold than see a kid no younger than 12 be cold. i have so much respect for those men and woman
THAT GUY AT THE END IS A BOSS !!!
Yup
The boy’s smile melted my heart. I feel for every child who’s feeling cold every night. Help them.
I can't understand the language but such wonderful people..faith in humanity restored!

Take my like, Norway. You deserved it.
I had a warm and fuzzy good feeling after watching this, then I began to read some of the comments.
I know right... Some people just like to turn everything into negativity.
E Taing sad really.
Omg same!! Everyone's like "this never happened when I was a kid" ignoring pure human kindness in the video!
brigitta falcini I often wonder about the teenagers these days. Yes I have a 13yr old, but I don't think he's that jaded to make such nasty comments. When an act of kindness has to be mocked for no good reason I shudder thinking about when I become old and this generation will become our caregivers??? god I just hope its a phase lol!
@@AlysN1dr
I thought that was just me! With the caregiving thing...
Whenever I see a nurse in a documentary complaining about changing diapers, I wonder why she chose that job.
Some teenagers are simply acting out a bit with anxiety-issues, usually complaining about feeling sad/worried. Those are fine, they're just feeling miserable, they'll get better.
But I've also met the kind of human that has been hurt in the past só badly and chose to turn against humanity.
They will respond violently against any friendly comment, try to provoke people into feeling miserable as well, they get a 'wicked' smile on their face when panic breaks out.
How will they respond to the responsibilities of caring for others, what if they curse and throw with things when things don't go their way. It frightens me.
He is so tiny!!! Aaaaahhhhhh I'm crying!!!!!! He looks so small and adorable in the jackets!!!!! I love this so much!!!!!

videos like these always get to me. faith in humanity is restored...
Plot twist: they never gave them their stuff back
I was wondering about that. Clever way to make a little bit of money.

WOW that made me smile nonstop. Great caring citizens of Norway. I'm sure some other country wouldn't do this. And i'm not saying which country because i don't want to start a war lol.
Most people would do this in most countries.
If it were here in the usa and i saw him, i'd not give him my jacket at 1st.
I'd know his parents were around somewhere, i'd let him stay cold for a while cause it would make him tougher.
I'd wait 10 minutes at least to toughen him up, he'd be better off for it in the long run. I think these people in Norway did the same
murica!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Many American have awoken to reality and struggle for existence because an inept, morally bankrupt, thieving, dogmatic, aristocratic, all things Big Government has left them no choice. The People don't start wars; government does. Charity begins at home; and Big Government has left many homeless, jobless, and taxed to the curb.
There are good people in every country. Don't *ever* fucking forget that.
Of course, I never have any second thought when I put Norway at the top of my "Great Countries I Should be Going or Move & Never Regret, Ever" list. Cheers!
I never get emotional about things but this made me tear up a little. So sweet.. Makes me happy to know that this world hasn't completely gone to shit.........

God Bless all who help and protect others. I watch so many people in the video that gave their coats and gloves and scarf to the little boy! Their acts of compassion for others was amazing!! Restoring humanity one person at a time. God Bless you all again!!
This is proof that there is still hope for humanity yet. Kudos to all the folks in Oslo who offered to help this little boy.

Felix Burn-e Yes, but someone became a better person. "Later than never."
I trully agree...I would do exactly the same IF i knew a camera is recording on the other side!
I wonder what he answers on why he has no jacket...
But, its beautiful! I'm Czech and i admire Northern Europeans' mentality. I believe that the rest of the world should search 4 inspiration up there!
Fairly certain I know many countries where the reaction of the people would have been the same.

This video was made to raise awareness about the suffering of children in Syria.
I think people should start reading the video descriptions.
If the children in Syria hadn´t been important to people, no one would have made this video.
*****
Its a shame that you are commenting something like this without any idea what this video is actually about. This video is a commercial for assistance to the children in Syria. This commercial is new form of making these kinds of commercials instead of using people that actually have this terrible life situation such as children in Syria. Because this is what the world has come too. If there is anything bad, put it on TV and it will make it a whole lot better; It doesn't work like that.
NEXT TIME: Read video descriptions and watch the whole video before commenting such thing.
Thank You.

How can people dislike this video??? That's why our society is like it is. Shame on you all.
Amazing video, just warms my heart to see people spreading kindness and love!
Needed this today. Been reading the news about corrupt politicians, liars, and just horrible people in general taking advantage of everyone they can. Thank you.
Love from India..selflessness is the love mode of humanity
waaah even the guy with the t-shirt :O i love these types of videos, I love seeing the good side of humanity that tends to be overshadowed :)
they grew up in cold weather.it doesn't scare them. they wash their balls in the freezing morning, outside using just ice
The woman in the dress as well!
Although this is sweet and heartwarming, I beleive that it is human duty to do these kind of acts. By elevating these acts to the status of amazing takes away from our real duties which go way beyond these simple acts of kindness. We start to feel comfortable and self satisfied after doing a small easy act of kindness all the while, forgetting the bigger acts.
may our Lord bless Norwegian fellas for Syrian children,
thank you for remind us about them,

Faith in mankind: restored :)
I almost cried watching that video. God still left some angels walking among us...
Peace from Brazil!
your faith in humanity shouldn't be so fickle as to be restored and destroyed by a single video.
surlysmiles It's not about a video, jackass. Is about attitude.
Humans are naturally caring and compassionate. Even the most evil of humans began life with caring and compassion. It is a cold harsh world that turns hearts to stone. Although this video is touching, would they have reacted the same way if the boy was instead a dirty hairy homeless man? A living being is a living being. I have suffered at times (sometimes greatly) due to my actions towards others. However every one of them was worth it. The bitter cold doesn't stand a chance against a warm heart and a kind gesture towards another being in need.
God Bless the good actions of this day
god literally had nothing to do with the good will of these amazing people
What beautiful people exist in this world! Thank you!
I cried tears of joy, so overwhelming in a positive way.
I noticed "barna i syria fryser" which mean childern are freezing in syria so it's an ad for charity, I can't describe how much I respect humanist societies, Thank you Norway!

Krossi33 Ah, I love Europe. So many countries, with so many cultures, so much history and things to see. Now, almost all of us can get along too! Western and central Europe is one of the safest region in the world to live in and eastern Europe's economy, safety and global footprint, both politicly and culturally is increasing. And I am so blessed I can visit most of Europe, without a visa, and soon without a passport. Way too many people focuses only on the disagreements and negativity, but we're way better off now than our grandparent's where, and on the whole, I love what our continent have evolved itself into.
Oh, and Germany is awesome too! :D
1000 years ago: Hello, we are here to pillage your riverside cities. We are a barbaric tribe called the Vikings. LoL.
rhadoo32 Actual 1000 years ago: Hello, we are here to pillage your cities. We don't have sh*t up in our place, seriously we can barely grow crops. So we are taking your stuff instead!
Later: Hello we are men from the north and we'd like to do some business as honorable traders do.
I live in the US and I would definitely give anyone freezing my coat, it warms my heart to see people helping this child.
Respect from Sweden 🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪
It's a clean and welldressed child waiting something/someone, so people won't expect it to be a trap or a joke, or would reject him.
If it was an adult with a "indigent" aspect I doubt people would be so kind like that. And if he acted like a insane person I doubt it even more.
Sad but true, in southamerica even worst...
So, people are kind but not kinder... well, still pretty decent to me. Plus, you are just guessing.
Érik Escobedo
I'm not guessing. I'm saying it based on logic, common sense and experience. It's well known that some circumstances make people feel more pity and confidence.
This concrete situation is the typical one that people highly wouldn't feel/think/suspect that the person could harm them or that the person is someone unrealiable, And they highly would feel that they must do something about it.
Think about it changing the person ( year, genre, height, weight, skin color, hair color...) and its aspects (how dressed, how clean, actitude, carring bags, showing physical disability...).
No, I'm saying that it's highly expected to see people helping in this concrete case. I'm saying that this response is not "uncommon" in this case. I'm saying that it's an "easy exam", though it doesn't mean that most people would be aproved of course.
Wow - this is so powerful. What a smart idea, moving video and important cause.
Beautiful. The lovely and beautiful side of humanity. I speak English and didn't need to understand 1 word to see this video for the greatness it contains. To each and every one of these people.... You are amazing and wonderful rolled into 1.

Would you be hesitant to help? Even if you wanted to? It's never a bad move to partake in a random act of kindness to someone in need. I'm taking notes.

They just racist. If that was a nigga kida they wouldn't help him at all.Stop racisam in Norway !
blaivan89 So it is "racisam" (To quote you) just because it is a white kid? How stupid is that. How do you know that they would not help a black kid? There is nothing racist in this video, that's just.. stupid.
blaivan89 wow, what a blatantly ignorant comment, guess you're one of those who just belive that racism is EVERYWHERE and that every white man is a racist.
Sure, go ahead if that makes you smile more everyday.
The reason nobody would have given you their jacket is just you're own attitude.
Yea, my faith in humanity is destroyed and restored several times every hour I surf the internet.
Wow! So many nice people
Why do you think so? In every nation you can find nice people :)
In this world we should thank God cause there are generous people out their 💓 🙏
no, this was a kind, human gesture. Not god
Our faith in humanity has been restored
quite frankly this video is not surprisng at all. it doesn't even restore my faith in humanity, and if something this small suddenly makes you think humanity is ethically correct, you need to leave the house more. they may be sweet gestures, but what else did you expect? we all expected the same outcome and that's what we got. it's not good humanity, it's common fucking sense. if a little kid is freezing their ass of in the snow, of course you would try and help them out. its not rocket science.
I have been living in a neighbourhood where frankly, everybody looks like hates everybody and when a certain need of aid comes along, very few of us are willing to take the risks to give help without being critisized or beat up. but this video made me realise that there is actually good out there rather than the hatred that we are all influenced upon
this gives me hope in humanity
