This is the fourth video I’ve watched on how to wrangle these screens and it’s by far the best, because you explain and demonstrate everything so clearly. I’m saving your video, because I just know I’m going to need a refresher course in the future. Thank you!!
Thanks, this helped quite a bit, particularly the bit about having to hold the screen up in the upper-left when putting it back in. I'd had quite a bit of difficulty getting my screens back until I watched this.
Thank you . Perfect instructions I did it !!!!! Without bending anything. The right bottom pull tab broke the 1st time I tried to install and failed. Thx again ,👍👍👍
Thank you SO much! I have had these bustard window screens for decades, and absolutely dread having to take them out. At least I now know that these screens are, actually, a real bugger to get in and out. I thought it was just me. At least your tips make it easier, if possible. These things should be outlawed.
Thanks for your comment it made me chuckle this morning as I too have feel that pain and love the way your described that frustration. Have a wonderful day!
Unfortunately, it's not uncommon for vinyl windows to "shrink" in size or shift/move over many many years of heat cycles causing the window to compress in on the window screen making the screen seem tight. If this happens to us we free the screen and then cut it down 1/16" to 1/8" to make sure it's easier going in and out for the future.
Hi Sir,i have the existing sliding window but the screen is on the right side if we face outside but I want to move the screen on the left side so what I can do.I hope you can help me.Thanks
Agreed, the sun breaks them down and makes them very brittle. They make metal ones but they end up getting super scratched up and they also make rubber ones but they don't fit in all the frames.
wow this is so weird. Windows built with screens so difficult to remove and clean/replace. I really LOVE my double hung windows where I can move my screen's up and down jus like the windows. wow....
There's literally 100s of different screens for all different manufacture years and models. I have a few other tricky ones on our channel, but defiantly not all. Maybe you have already figured out how to remove them? ua-cam.com/channels/zWSrasR1w9YdEr9vZMhBzg.html
@@ScreenMedic I'll look. This is an older 40 year old manufactured home origional windows there's a couple of tabs om them on the outside I can loosen the screen there but after that it's pretty much stuck. Does t seem to have any spring or anything so it basically doesn't move
@@jamesgentry13 if there are tabs there usually are springs. Sometimes pushing on the frame side where the springs are helps loosen them. There have been a good handful of screens we screen in place due to them getting stuck in place as well.
Used this to sneak out it makes everything way easier, thanks bro!
Same here lmao
I'm using it to sit on my roof 💀
Lol sneaking out.🤣
Nice do you have stuff up there
Same😌

Can the screens be removed from the outside? If someone tried to break in?
It depends on the window manufacturer. Some screens do come off from outside and some from the inside.
Thank, tried for 20 min, watched your video, two minutes later screen in
Glad we could help!
Hi. What about the other half? I've watched 3 videos on this subject and they all only show how to take out one of the windows.
I can’t put mine back 😂 I’m scared
Aisaac Umiamaka did you put it back ?
@@fmb.torres9733 that man done for😭😭😭😭
Kyle Miller shitt😭😭
Thanks man mine was taken out for whatever reason and had to put it back in place because of bees and wasps (im afraid of them)

Those plastic tabs are so damn easy to break

So you're saying it's impossible? Got it.

please help me im so sick of dealing with these damn screens ive made three sets and every one of them has failed somehow im going to move
if you're in the Minneapolis area we'd love to help build you window screens that fit.
Nice if I had tabs
Yeah, they are pretty brittle and break often. During a re-screen they can be added.
Mine only has one retaining clip
that is definitely the case in some windows.
This doesn't help my screens are not like yours I don't know what to do
